Camp grounds were well maintained. The shower facilities were good. We were there midweek so was a little quiet. The Owner was excellent sharing his knowledge of the area and made some awesome suggestions.

Camping with our dogs
I loved our stay there .... so much room between campers and on a long weekend with public holiday . Could not ask for a better stay . And hosts super friendly and patient with my hassles with the gate app . Should point out it was my issue with the app not the app

Great spot, bad midgies
Beautiful spot, close to river and an incredible beach. Property was well maintained and the shower/toilet facilities were great. The owners were very friendly and entry into the property was a breeze.
Unfortunately the midgies were out of control, even with heavy duty repellent and long sleeves we were eaten alive.

Stayed in the unpowered sites It was a large space plenty of room Some sandy sites but also grassed areas Plenty of trees for shade
It’s situated on the river side of Woodgate but not directly on river A large bank to climb down to river Needs to get a better access to river from campground Understand this is not their land but a solution needs to be found as it’s quite a challenge for some.
Midges we plentiful so spray is needed
Toilet and showers were ok Need maybe another one available so all the area is covered in peak time
Also need a dump point and potable water as these days with more caravans coming in to site these are what keeps people there longer and more comfortable on unpowered site Nearest Dump Point is at NRMA Woodgate and a fee is paid Free one is at Childers
We enjoyed our stay and would return Owners are lovely

Unpowered sites are nice and spacious with fire pits provided. Sandflies where very bad when we stayed.

Good spot to camp amongst the trees and the toilets and showers are clean and tidy. The sites are sandy and make sure you bring plenty of spray for the midges. Great spot

Welcoming owners / caretakers, very helpful. Great location and amenities. Steep bank down to the river, amazing on high tide. Totally worth it.
Lots of tree shaded camp spots. With water and power sites also available. Would recommend

Beautiful Spot on the Burrum River
Great campsite. Pretty area with great fishing spots. Friendly owners and a beautiful Weimaraner called Neo that was our personal tour guide one morning he took us to a beautiful little beach tucked in amongst the mangroves. Would definitely recommend just do not make the same mistake and forget the mozzie coils like we did as the migies are rampant!

Rooftop tent nature re-charge
We went roof top camping at Burrum Heads and enjoyed walking and exploring the Woodgate area. Great spot for keen fisherman, or for a nature escape for the night. Access to toilets and showers was also a PLUS for us.

Plenty of space to spread out, we were in our own , there were a couple of other groups but didn't really hear or see them. There are showers and toilet which are basic but enough. Just remember to pack plenty of areogard as the midgees, sand fly and match flies are really bad. We had a great few days

We enjoyed our short stay at caravan and camping, Nice open spread out campground with clean amenities. Out of the way and peaceful just how we like it. Our hosts were lovely people and very accommodating.

Absolutely loved it !
Amazing spot to stay right on the Burrum River, near the boat ramp and only a few kms from the vehicle accessible beach to Burrum Point.
They owners were so lovely and welcoming and they take great pride in their property, keeping it neat and clean. Amenities were good and cleaned daily.
There was heaps of space between us and our neighbouring campers in the unpowered area, which is always a big thing for us having three dogs with us on our travels. Fire pits all around the property so you can have a camp fire too, which is a must for us. As you could expect, camping along a river, there were bities so make sure to pack the spray! Overall, a great spot to stay and enjoy the beautiful surrounding area. We will definitely be back one day!

Camping with Dogs
This is a magic spot beautiful & quite. Plenty of room for my dog to run around. Private beach and plenty of fishing spots. Just don’t forget your bushman’s spray as the midges are there, this definitely didn’t ruin this beautiful place. The perfect sunset & lovely owners.

We had a nice stay. The property is large and we booked last minute during a busy period but still found a space away from other campers. The facilities are kept clean and tidy. We thought the campsites were on the river but they are just a dirt road back. Still an easy walk to swim or fish in the river.

Piece of paradise!
Absolute beautiful place to camp, shower and toilet facilities were always clean. Camp sites are set out with plenty of space and easy access to the water. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

Midgees gallor swamp swimming
I was attacked by midges so badly I had to leave early. We used repelant it did nothing. The trees are lovely but I will never go back. You cant swim there the river access is a swamp. Also zero kitchen facilities so you have to take literally everything so not great for a weekend escape. You have to drive everywhere.
Nice people who run it and lovely trees pity about the location.

Loved the area! Easy access to the river, very spacious and easy to find your own secluded spot. Amenities were very clean and hygienic (they’re cleaned everyday). Owners very friendly and helpful. Also only a 10 minute drive into Woodgate which has a general store, cafes and pub 🤩

Nice spot but was busy
Nice spot, toilets and showers cleaned every day, quiet at night. Lovely stars! Sandy tracks were watered down to prevent the sand/ dust. Understand as it was Xmas was busier that we would have liked, ended up leaving a day early as some set up a bit too close for our liking. It seemed there were a lot more there than the 25 sites advertised. Probably better to go at a less busy time. Take spray for the sandflies and mozzies! Fires pits were good.
