Peaceful 5 acres lots of trees on one half , cleared on the other with a huge dam, with lily pads a wharf, great place to chill back ,watch all the wild birds, ducks, cockatoos, hen birds, spoon bill birds, whistling ducks, Galahs, Rosella's, rainbow lorikeets, king parrots, Magpie Geese, Kangaroos, Goanna.
We also have sheep, goats , chickens, turkeys, which the kids can feed in the afternoons.
We are only 5 mins away from the Ferry to Fraser Island, 10 mins to Hervey Bay, with its Esplanade , bike, & walking trails, also there is dog friendly beach's.
Great place to stop, and rest before Fraser Island, we are dog friendly, but must be kept on leash at all times.

We are building a productive, diverse permaculture farm incorporating a market garden, food forest and small volume egg production. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset.
Enjoy the many birds and animals that you will see as you spend time exploring our bush and farm. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh, organically grown produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. You will love the peace and quiet of our block and the huge array of wildlife that choose to call our place home.
To preserve this tranquility, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this camp site. You are welcome to camp in family and friendship groups. Lovely peaceful campsite. Amazing views to k'gari island. Great location for travelling to Hervey Bay for trips to k'gari island. Heidi provides home made food and we had the vegetarian quiche and salad, delicious, and the quiche was sufficient to be our lunch the day after. Would definitely recommend this campsite.

Beautiful peaceful spot. Nicely kept grass all around, with all camps overlooking the river and native bush on the other side. Amenities are new and impeccably clean. And so quiet at night because there are no highways anywhere nearby. Very close to the local pub, too, which has great outdoor seating and live music on the weekends. Yes, definitely would stay at this hipcamp location again.

Absolutely magical will be back many times. Private and tranquil. The Best kept a secret (If you don't know about it, it's not for you, as there are limited spaces) we camped unpowered in 3m pod, fine getting in. Had quite a few wheel spins getting back up hill to get out in my Kia Sportage.

Perfect as always! This is a spot I return to as often as I can.
Its such a beautiful camp, with amazing views, bird life and swimming. The amenities are always very clean and well taken care of, the warm shower is perfect at the end of a day of swimming in the river. We took the kayak this time and it was really easy getting in and out of the river.
It is so peaceful there and the hosts are lovely.

Beautiful spot. Relatively easy River access (short climb down some small rocks). A bit of road noise but really not an issue. Lots of shady trees and picnic tables, benches etc. Fire pits supplied (half 44 gallon drums on stands. Greg is really friendly and helpful. Flat land.

When to go
Bundaberg is busiest between November and March during the turtle nesting season, but it pays to book campsites as early as possible for any holiday periods. Another good time to visit is July to November, when the waters off Bundaberg come alive with humpback whales as thousands migrate north to mate and give birth, then take the return journey to Antarctica. Bundaberg weather is warm and temperate year-round.
Know before you go
- Camping permits are required for all Queensland parks, forests, and reserves, and all must be booked online and paid for before arrival. Make camping bookings as early as possible, especially for dates around Christmas.
- Remember to pack sunscreen—the Queensland sun can be fierce. If you are heading to the islands to snorkel or dive, check out sunscreens that won’t damage the coral reefs (those that don’t contain oxybenzone or BP-3).
- Book as far ahead as possible for turtle encounters at Mon Repos Conservation Park. Numbers are limited and a waiting list operates most years. On the night of your tour, be prepared to wait up to two hours for turtles to appear on the beach and for your turn to come. It’s worth it!
- Bundaberg has all the facilities you’ll need to stock up before heading to your camping area, as well as a post office, bank, and car hire companies.
