This is one of those hidden gems of a property. Im not sure how in the middle of may there were no chiggers or mosquitos. And the rain seemed to move all around us but never seemed to hit the property while everything around it was getting drenched. With all that said, Could not have enjoyed the donkeys and horses in the pasture more, super friendly and love getting pets. Would 100% recommend this place as a stop for anyone, and Rick was more than accommodating and has tons of awesome stories. I cant wait to go back this fall. I can only imagine how beautiful those trees will be.
Rick is an incredible host, he is very welcoming. Meeting Windy and visiting with Rick were a highlight of our visit. That being said... Our campsite was amazing, under a HUGE pecan tree overlooking an incredible green pasture full of dainty, colorful wildflowers that goes on forever. Incredible sunsets were a plus, but the true highlight of the trip were the animals... The friendliest horses and donkeys have the pleasure of living on this beautiful property. Expect the horses to hangout at your campsite periodically. They love attention. Willy is very special so be sure to give him lots of love!! There are several, so I hope you have the opportunity to meet your favorite. This was a great experience for my birthday. I highly recommend this place.

This is our second time staying on his property and our first time bringing our daughter. It was a wonderful stay. We had the most amazing time. Rick is just precious and so knowledgeable as well as accommodating. He goes above and beyond for his guests. The animals are so beautiful and very curious. The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous. It's the perfect mix of fun and peaceful.
We had such a good time staying on Rick's land! The horses definitely stole the show. The creek and the shade from the trees was a great addition. We pretty much had a whole side of the property to ourselves and our dogs loved it. Rick was so nice! Will definitely go back for quiet camping.

Beautiful piece of land with well thought out camp sites. We had an awesome time and will be back.
Rick is an amazing host with some fascinating life stories. He was very friendly and very communicative prior to the visit, as well as during my stay. Highly recommend!
Secluded and private. Tons of land to explore. Friendly horses. Small pond for fishing.
Rick was a great host. Loved the picnic tables and fire ring and he made sure to get us within the trees and out of the wind as much as possible. Enjoyed exploring his land and will be back! Commerce has a cute downtown scene. Our dog loved exploring the land, too! Thanks, Rick!
Okay, if you want to get away from it all...this is the place! Rick is such a cool dude and his camping spots are perfect. You are literally on 100 acres among horses, donkeys, goats and even Willie the mule. You gotta say hi to Willie, he is hilarious and LOVES attention. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
