    Welcome to 5D Ranch in Navasota, TX. We’re located 60 miles North of Houston and just 2.5 hours from Austin. We have over 14 miles of trails, 2 fishing ponds, 4 boats that are free to use, and great views of the night sky. With 24 unique campsites, we’re sure to have one that fits your needs! We also can provide rentals of camping essentials, a S'mores package and we offer a meet the ponies session that can be scheduled upon your arrival. We can’t wait to host you!     Site 10 is a very private and spacious site. You will be totally surrounded by dense woods. The lane back to the campsite off the main trail is at least 200 yards. This site is not suitable for an RV due to the narrow lane: it could get scratched by the trees; however, a very small pop-up type campers will be fine as long as the driver knows how to back and turn around a trailer.     What a great short drive get away from the city! Very peaceful, clean and fantastic hosts!! As I was grilling a nice steak, I felt a bit guilty as I heard a faint “moo”. But my guilt quickly dissipated once I started eating the steak. Definitely will be back! Thanks again Julie for a great stay!

    Such an amazing time we had at the Ranch, I will always come back, I will always bring more people, I will always talk about it, more people need to know about it and come, with respect and love for everything that there is in this campgrounds but also for the profound reconnection to nature you can get from it, being only a few hours away from our major Texas cities, thank you 5D Fam. Shoutout to the guardian dog Quigley, if you feel like taking a walk and he happens to be around, ask him to guide you, he knows where to go.

    The ranch was nice. Plenty of hiking options. I didn't utilize the lake. Maybe next time. Historic downtown Navasota was cool to explore and only minutes away. Site 22 was nice and secluded. Would recommend

    I love tent camping on Julie’s ranch. This is my family of 16+ 3rd time camping on this property and it only gets better and better. This time we actually swam in the lake for the first time. The water was warm and there was a lot of beautiful treasures the kids was finding in the water. Everything was nice. Nothing to complain about. Quigley came by as usual to see us especially on the last night he stayed guard over us he was sad we had to leave and rained down the path behind us.

    5D is a great place to visit and enjoy nature. Expansive campsites with miles and miles of trails. Each site is spread out so if there are others, you may not even notice. Its a great spot for fishing as I pulled one up on the third cast. Julie is very kind and makes it easy. I was hesitant to review as I'd like to keep this place my secret.

    The land was so beautiful! There are trails you can hike on the property and there is a lake with boats and life vests. The kids had a blast! We will definitely be coming back here.

    We had a great time, the campsites were perfect. The host was kind and helpful. The only thing that stressed us out were the bark scorpions near the lake. We know this isn’t something that can be helped by the host but we do want people to beware as they are highly venomous! We didn’t see any at the campsite and have genuinely nothing but positive things to say about the campsite itself.

    Just took my second trip here and it was even better than the first time! The lake and trails are so beautiful, and the ranch dog Quigley showed up and made an amazing trail guide!!

    Easy to find, site 19 was pretty secluded. Everything was clean, Julie was super friendly and helpful. The whole 5D Ranch was very pretty, with a water feature and even boats available to use. There was a nice bathroom at the entrance to the campsite area that even had a shower. Everything was great!

    Absolutely lovely! This family is the definition of hospitality! They go out of their way to make your stay special. I realized we did not have enough firewood, and this sweet family hand delivered some logs to our campsite! Gorgeous and peaceful property. The camp sites are spread out, even though other campers were there, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. My kids asked if we could come back every year, now we have a new family tradition! Some very special lifelong family memories were made during our stay!

    Best thing is that it was close by. Less than 30 minutes from my house. A great quick getaway, especially for people who have never been camping before and won’t travel very far. Julie is also very sweet and gave me a chore in advance and help me to pick out the campsite.

    This is my first time camping (site 6) and this place absolutely has made me want to do camping much more frequently. This site provided a blend of cozying up in the wood but still has a nice and open area. The view and nature are beautiful but still has the convenience of the restroom of your home. The lake was nice to do some rowing despite the hot days of Texas.

    Site 19 was such a great spot. Walking distance to the lake where you can fish, boating and swimming. It has so much room for you and family. I loved the area and great shading that allows wind and great campfire scenery. We ended our stay with some bird watching and caught some Cardinals and Blue Jays

    Absolutely beautiful property. The campsite we stayed at for the weekend was exactly how it was described online- we loved it!! Plenty of fantastic hiking trails and a little late to go for a swim or take one of the canoes out in. Definitely come back!!

    It's a beautiful campground with camping spots designed for those who like wide open spaces and others for those who enjoy secluded spots. You will need to be prepared to not have water at each campsite but it is provided at the check-in area. When we got there, it was pouring rain but within 15 minutes after the rain stopped, we were able to get around and set up the tent because the soil is sand and absorbs the water right away.
