Arrow Acres Tiny Farmhouses
3 sites · Lodging8 acres · Warren, TXEmmylou Harris is named after female legendary country singer/song-writer! Arrow Acres offers a peaceful get away from the city and busy life. Our tiny houses are for folks that like intimate spaces that are cozy and homespun in the outdoors. You'll be charmed by how comfy and relaxed it feels to nest in a tiny home. Enjoy morning coffee on the covered front porch or hangout snuggled up in the treelined loft upstairs. Even though the farmhouse is tiny, you'll find its larger than a hotel room and comfortable. If you hike to the back of the property, you'll find an abandoned railroad trestle from the 1890's (super cool feature). The tiny house sits on the property with 3 other tiny house rentals and a barn that is also available for rent as a venue. All 3 houses are staggered to give each house privacy and a view of the pond. We are right off the main road (HWY 69) but toward the back of the property away from the road. When you arrive, you can park along side of your unit or in the common area.

Hidalgo Falls Hideaway
11 sites · Lodging, Tents13 acres · Navasota, TXThe 13-acre park at Hidalgo Falls is owned by the Texas Rivers Protection Association. It is located on the Brazos River about eight miles from Navasota.TRPA ownership of this property guarantees access to this popular and unique river resource. For whitewater paddlers, it offers a class II rapid with numerous surfing waves, holes, eddy lines and play spots. For flatwater paddlers, it provides a convenient and secure access point for float trips along a very historic stretch of the Brazos as well as a place to learn swiftwater techniques and rescue skills. In the four miles downstream from the rapid archaeologists have unearthed mastodon bones from the riverbank, and the remains of  an early 20th century lock and dam system still loom large in the river. All of this is just upstream from Washington on the Brazos State Park, birthplace of the republic of Texas. Stephen F. Austin is said to have crossed the river often at Hidalgo Falls. It is also said that you could tell if you had a knowledgeable riverboat captain if he could get his boat upstream of the rapid and back down before the river level dropped stranding the boat upriver near Millican or Port Sullivan. The fast moving water and play features of the rapid are rarities in this part of the state. During the year volunteer fire departments in the region use the falls for training firefighters in swiftwater rescue.A 2 mile hike and bike trail are being worked on now and will soon open. Volunteers are always welcome!

Blue Lagoon Pond & Cabin
1 site · Lodging1 acre · Somerville, TXThis cedar cabin was built in the late 1950's and was the first building in Birch Creek Subdivision and was used as the real estate office when selling land for Subdivision. There is a store with a bar and grill next door where you can dance and sing karaoke. The Freedom Ranch Cafe down PR 57 has some of the best home-cooked meals around. Try their fried catfish for starters! Joy Moore bought this fixer-upper in 1986 when the oilfield went under, at a youngster in her early twenties and has owned ever since. Lake Somerville is known for the best fishing lake in Texas. Deer run plentiful on the property and will come up close and personal when fed corn. So, stop and pick up a sack or two of deer corn before arrival. The closest city is about a 20 minute drive to Somerville so make sure to have everything you need before camping.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent or stay in cozy cabin with accomadations like home, including wifi and tv.
