The Navasota River Ranch is a 600 ac parcel of land bounded by more than a mile of the Navasota River on its west side and two tributary creeks on its north and southeast sides. The river bottom is wild and untamed, while the rest is rolling hills reminiscent of the prairie that once greeted settlers. Nearby is Bryan-College Station home of Texas A&M University To the west on Hwy 105 is Washington on the Brazos State Park. This is the location where delegates gathered to hastily draw up a declaration of independence before joining the Runaway Scrape to avoid capture and execution by the advancing Mexican Army. Farther down the road is the famous Blue Bell creamery in Brenham. The tour and ice cream are well worth the trip. On the property are miles of Jeep trails excellent for off road and 4WD vehicles. Guests might prefer hiking along these trails or strike out on foot trails and game trails. Thanks to the hunters who have come for the deer and feral hogs over the years there are numerous observation structures for viewing wildlife up close, or just enjoying the solitude of the deep woods. Three ponds offer bass and perch fishing from the bank or bring your own boat. And then there is the Navasota River...

Beautiful and Tranquil A++
I have ADHD so I'll keep this brief. The land is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a quiet getaway. We were fortunate enough that we went when the bluebonnets were still around, and we got lots of photos. William met us on our arrival and the following day, I briefly met with his daughter. Both are as nice as can be, and are gracious hosts. The only problem was more in my side than the host. I have a compact sedan and I would have been better suited in an SUV. That said, my family and I were able to enter and exit the grounds without any major issues. In all fairness to William, he does recommend a car with 4 wheel drive. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away, make sure to check out this beautiful campsite.

Murphy's River Camp
Great property away from the hustle and bustle. The stars are bright with minimal light pollution. Animals all over the property. We saw armadillo, scorpion, butterfly’s, birds. We caught several bass in one of the bonds. Very large river running through the property. Wildflowers everywhere. Would definitely camp here again

First time camping and it was great
First time tent camping with friends and family. Soooo much fun and the host was very welcoming and kind. The property is beautiful! I highly recommend coming during springtime and seeing all the beautiful blue bonnets! My doggie also highly recommends! We most definitely will be going back.

Williams land was great and secluded for tent camping! We caught fish and enjoyed walking through the flowers.

Murphy's River Camp
Excellent stay
Absolutely great property, with numerous primitive cam sites, trails, ponds, and Navasota River access. Check-in was easy and helpful finding a good site to camp. Lots of woods but didn’t see much in the way of wildlife other than a wild horse (?) and an armadillo. My 2-wheel drive SUV got around easy in the rutted country road trails. Too much mud might have been a problem. Will be back.
