Loved or overnight camp trip.. what a beautiful place. All the nature sounds were amazing, so many cool frogs and birds making music. Caught a few fish too. Would definitely come back, thank you so much.

4 nights at Cummins Cozy Corral

Jeanna and Kris are good hosts, have sites with level concrete pads, hookups easily accessible to the trailer, free laundry in a shed between two of the pads, and the sites are surrounded by greenery. Jeanna made sure of connecting with us, ready to answer questions along with giving info on the surrounding area for dining, etc. It has been a great base for our time as we had business in College Station and family to visit in Houston. We would have to pay at least double for the same site/service back home in New York state.

Terry was friendly, patient and understanding as I made my way into town, exhausted from a long workday and hours on the road. The property was secluded and quiet, and the amenities were well-crafted, quality built, and meaningful. I loved it here, and will certainly try to find my way back!

Absolutely beautiful property. The campsite we stayed at for the weekend was exactly how it was described online- we loved it!! Plenty of fantastic hiking trails and a little late to go for a swim or take one of the canoes out in. Definitely come back!!

7 nights at Cummins Cozy Corral

This is a wonderful place to stay! Jeanna and her husband were warm and welcoming from the moment of my arrival. Jeanna’s husband helped me get set up and made sure I had everything I needed. Jeanna became my contact throughout my stay, making sure I was satisfied with everything. It’s a very pretty spot with lots of trees and chickens roaming the property. As a single female camper, I need to be aware of my surroundings. I felt very safe at the fenced and gated, rural Cummins’ Corral. One of the nicest amenities (besides your host and hostess) is the free laundry they provide! I live in my RV full-time and as a Thousand Trails member, I am in need of a place to stay one week out of every month. With the pleasant atmosphere, the lovely hosts, the safe environment, and the great rates, I definitely consider Cummins’ Corral my new monthly go-to!

Weekend Trip to Turquoise Acres Ranch

We had a great stay! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The kids loved meeting all of the cute farm critters. We set up our tent facing one of the ponds and watched the sun rise from our tent. We loved that there was an air-conditioned bathroom with running water not far from the campground and a playground for the kids. The donkey family visited us during the night, and we fell in love with the baby donkey who was jumping around having the time of its life. Looking forward to our next stay!

It's a beautiful campground with camping spots designed for those who like wide open spaces and others for those who enjoy secluded spots. You will need to be prepared to not have water at each campsite but it is provided at the check-in area. When we got there, it was pouring rain but within 15 minutes after the rain stopped, we were able to get around and set up the tent because the soil is sand and absorbs the water right away.

We loved our time at Outpost 203! We would definitely go again. We brought our pup and were able to camp with our tent.

My friend and I absolutely LOVED everything about 5D Ranch. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and shown the way to our campsite. They were very welcoming and made sure to make us feel comfortable before heading off. We had an amazing time enjoying the sounds of nature, grilling and sleeping in the woods. We even got to take enjoy the on site ponds with free paddle boats and caught a bunch of fish! I would highly recommend 5D for anyone looking to find a relaxing get away, family time, or with friends! (I was at SITE 11)

Camping was easy for our family of six, which includes four children all aged seven and younger, at Circle C Campground. Even our dog, who typically doesn't enjoy camping, seemed to have a good time. We will definitely be returning!

We loved 5d! Campsite 9 was very spacious but also secluded. Only a 6 min walk to the bathroom. The tree canopy shielded us from some sprinkles and the hot sun. Trails were beautiful and we really enjoyed fishing in the pond. Nicely maintained land, no trash, and no loud neighbors. Just the great outdoors. Can't wait to come back!

The Navasota River Ranch

The Navasota River Ranch is a 600 ac parcel of land bounded by more than a mile of the Navasota River on its west side and two tributary creeks on its north and southeast sides. The river bottom is wild and untamed, while the rest is rolling hills reminiscent of the prairie that once greeted settlers. Nearby is Bryan-College Station home of Texas A&M University To the west on Hwy 105 is Washington on the Brazos State Park. This is the location where delegates gathered to hastily draw up a declaration of independence before joining the Runaway Scrape to avoid capture and execution by the advancing Mexican Army. Farther down the road is the famous Blue Bell creamery in Brenham. The tour and ice cream are well worth the trip. On the property are miles of Jeep trails excellent for off road and 4WD vehicles. A lot of trees, with some open areas. There are a lot of deer if you are up early in the morning. Also, sandy trails for walking around to see the wildlife. There is a small tank that sometimes in fall and spring have migrating ducks. A larger pond for fishing has catfish. We have horses that you are allowed to pet and brush if you make arrangements with the owners of the ranch first. We sell farm fresh eggs. Campfires allowed if we're not in a burn ban. Plenty of wood around, but may have to bring something to chop up the larger pieces. You will need to provide your own toilet facilities. There is no water, no electric, no internet, poor phone service. If you don't have a 4WD, we can still get you to your camping spot.

Blue Lagoon Pond & Cabin

This cedar cabin was built in the late 1950's and was the first building in Birch Creek Subdivision and was used as the real estate office when selling land for Subdivision. Joy Moore bought this fixer-upper in 1986 when the oilfield went under, at a youngster in her early twenties and has owned ever since. Lake Somerville is known for the best fishing lake in Texas. Deer run plentiful on the property and will come up close and personal when fed corn. So, stop and pick up a sack or two of deer corn before arrival. The closest city is about a 20 minute drive to Somerville so make sure to have everything you need before camping. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent or stay in cozy cabin with accommodations like home, including wifi and tv. Private pond with firepit near Lake Somerville. Enjoy fishing and hiking within walking distance of camp and Birch Creek State Park. Launch boats in park. The fishing is excellent! Relax, you are at the lake! Enjoy your stay. NOTE: Pond on property relies on Mother Nature; No rain means low or no water. Texas has been under extreme drought. Pray for rain! Good news! Next door is Lake Somerville - Birch Creek State Park which offers great walking trails, fishing and swimming holes. Stop at Ranger Station for maps.
