5D RANCH

25 sites · RVs, Tents400 acres · Navasota, Grimes
Welcome to 5D Ranch! We are so glad you are interested in visiting us. My name is Joee, my grandparents Eddie and Margaret Dyer have owned this property since 1960. It has been primarily used to raise cattle, and performance horses. However, over the years the horse and cattle side of the operation has dwindled down and we have been using the land to produce hay and for personal use of the trails for our family. A few years back we began talking about how we could utilize this place better and be able to share it with people! So we set out to work during the fall of 2015 and opened to the public in January 2016. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for news, promos and giveaways! Just search for 5D Ranch Camp & Trails.

Buck Acres near Lake Conroe, TX

20 sites · RVs, Tents6 acres · Montgomery, Montgomery
The previous owner had plans to turn our property into a 42 site row by row RV Park. Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 18 keeping the large house for short-term rental (coming soon.) Sorry, we are still under construction but excited about our progress! See a short video at https://www.buckacresrv.com Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just want to share our property with fellow travelers so we added some gravel roads. The only amenities are a Wi-Fi, 50/30/20A plug-ins, a porta-john and water. We use HipCamp and The Dyrt for bookings or just give us a call or text at (832) 303-9940 "Close to everything, away from it all" We're in the country but close to city amenities and beautiful Lake Conroe. It's only a few minutes from April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart and Kroger, yet it's peaceful and quiet on our forested property. As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, Buck Acres is our attempt to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are shade, Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week. Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig! Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park. Bring your family, pets, and friends - tents and RVs welcome! Please Note: Quiet Hours are 10pm - 8am Please keep fires within designated fire rings Keep pets on leash - Clean up any pet waste Do not walk through other people’s campsites. Hidalgo Falls Hideaway

11 sites · Lodging, Tents13 acres · Navasota, Brazos
The 13-acre park at Hidalgo Falls is owned by the Texas Rivers Protection Association. It is located on the Brazos River about eight miles from Navasota.TRPA ownership of this property guarantees access to this popular and unique river resource. For whitewater paddlers, it offers a class II rapid with numerous surfing waves, holes, eddy lines and play spots. For flatwater paddlers, it provides a convenient and secure access point for float trips along a very historic stretch of the Brazos as well as a place to learn swiftwater techniques and rescue skills. In the four miles downstream from the rapid archaeologists have unearthed mastodon bones from the riverbank, and the remains of  an early 20th century lock and dam system still loom large in the river. All of this is just upstream from Washington on the Brazos State Park, birthplace of the republic of Texas. Stephen F. Austin is said to have crossed the river often at Hidalgo Falls. It is also said that you could tell if you had a knowledgeable riverboat captain if he could get his boat upstream of the rapid and back down before the river level dropped stranding the boat upriver near Millican or Port Sullivan. The fast moving water and play features of the rapid are rarities in this part of the state. During the year volunteer fire departments in the region use the falls for training firefighters in swiftwater rescue.A 2 mile hike and bike trail are being worked on now and will soon open. Volunteers are always welcome!

The Navasota River Ranch

14 sites · RVs, Tents600 acres · Navasota, Grimes
The Navasota River Ranch is a 600 ac parcel of land bounded by more than a mile of the Navasota River on its west side and two tributary creeks on its north and southeast sides. The river bottom is wild and untamed, while the rest is rolling hills reminiscent of the prairie that once greeted settlers. Nearby is Bryan-College Station home of Texas A&M University To the west on Hwy 105 is Washington on the Brazos State Park. This is the location where delegates gathered to hastily draw up a declaration of independence before joining the Runaway Scrape to avoid capture and execution by the advancing Mexican Army. Farther down the road is the famous Blue Bell creamery in Brenham. The tour and ice cream are well worth the trip. On the property are miles of Jeep trails excellent for off road and 4WD vehicles. Guests might prefer hiking along these trails or strike out on foot trails and game trails. Thanks to the hunters who have come for the deer and feral hogs over the years there are numerous observation structures for viewing wildlife up close, or just enjoying the solitude of the deep woods. Three ponds offer bass and perch fishing from the bank or bring your own boat. And then there is the Navasota River...

Great Life Ranch (GLR) Tomball

4 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents4 acres · Tomball, Harris
The Dermaux-Mottershaw family, seeking more space than a typical Texas subdivision offered, purchased a ranch. Their children Grant, then 9, and Zoe, then 5, were thrilled at the prospect of wide open spaces and the possibility of owning horses. Their parents began calling the ranch the "Grant and Zoe Ranch." Later, they realized that the names "Grant," meaning great, and "Zoe," meaning life, could be combined to form "Great Life Ranch" (GLR) while still preserving the intended meaning. Today, the ranch is known as Great Life Ranch to all who visit.

Bahia Trails

17 sites · Tents6 acres · Plantersville, Grimes
**We are opening early to accommodate for Ren Fair and are still currently in the process of developing the campground, cleaning up the property, and working on the HipCamp listing. ** Located only 3.5 miles from The Texas Renaissance Festival, Bahia Trails Campground is a quiet, privately owned camping ground that is located deep within the Texas Piney Woods. Bahia Trails is centered on a total of 6 acres, roughly 200' wide by 900' long. Meandering across the back of the property lies a small creek, Deer Creek. Though this creek is shallow and does not always hold water, our guests are more than welcome to try their hand at fishing here for Bream. On clear nights our guests are able to enjoy Star Gazing. Since this location is located in a fairly rural area, there is no city water available. However, our water well system pulls water deep from within the Gulf Coast Aquifer supplying our toilets, sinks, and cold water rinsing shower.
