Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access uneven dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks area and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There is plenty of firewood to use for the fire pit. Please make sure to completely put fire out when done. There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas in the back. We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table that you can use for washing. There is a 32 gallon trash bucket that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out. This site does have limited solar electric power in RV area. To turn on, flip the switch on the surge strip on the wall behind the microwave. There is no running water so please plan accordingly. There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury. For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance and it is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. There is also another camera near the north side of RV barn for security of storage room and RV. This site can also be used for long term parking/storing your RV or vehicle but we are not liable for anything that happens. If interested, please contact me or use the app called "Neighbor". The RV barn currently already has a RV inside it so that parking space can't be used. Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available but we would need to install an in ground septic system and electricity first.

Sometimes you can find arrowheads. Some of the forest burned down in the great Bastrop wildfire in 2011, but it has grown back. Mobile phones work well here. Strong signal. Learn more about this land: Lost Pines Camping is located on a gravel dead-end road. We are in a pine forest with some oaks and have a two-acre lake on the property that is good for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easy to access through back roads. Blackberries can be picked for a month or so in springtime. Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are both a ten-minute drive away. The bathroom is a 2 minute walk from the tent site. With a surveyor's wheel it is 334 feet walk through the forest.

Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Private, peaceful and secluded. We purchased the 5.3 acres as a forest back in 2007. We cut down a little bit of the forest to build our house. Native Americans once lived here. Sometimes you can find arrowheads. Some of the forest burned down in the great Bastrop wildfire in 2011, but it has grown back. Mobile phones work well here. Strong signal. Learn more about this land: Lost Pines Camping is located on a gravel dead-end road. We are in a pine forest with some oaks and have a two-acre lake on the property that is good for swimming. Bastrop and Buescher State Parks are nearby and easy to access through back roads. Blackberries can be picked for a month or so in springtime. Downtown Bastrop and Downtown Smithville are both a ten-minute drive away. The bathroom is a 2 minute walk from the tent site. With a surveyor's wheel it is 334 feet walk through the forest.

We had a great 2 night stay at Circle C Campground essentially inside the Sam Houston National Forrest. The park trails began 50 yrds from our campsite. The sites themselves were very large, and there are only 7 total campsites, so it felt very spacious. There was a lot for the kids to do and they roamed freely with no worries from mom or dad about them all weekend. Terry was very friendly and has spared no expense improving the property to allow campers to enjoy it. Highly recommended.

The fact that my dog was allowed to roam and explore really took the stress of keeping her leashed off me so I could finally relax as well….probably the best thing about the trip! We had a great time at this wonderful property, lots and lots of wooded property to explore. The hosts were excellent and the bathroom, shower and water refill station was only about 150 yards from site 22. We really enjoyed watching the gofers digging their holes, it was great entertainment for us and our dachshund! We even got to meet the ranch dog, he was super friendly and was just looking for a drink of water. We will definitely be back! Thank you for opening your property to all of us that seek to be outdoors, it seems to be getting harder and harder to find places to go. Keep up the great work and scratch that pup behind his ears for us!
