2024 total eclipse
In the path of the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse.
Established 1996, The farm is situated just minutes from Magnolia-Silos, the Dr. Pepper museum, Baylor University,  the Texas Ranger museum, BSR Waterpark, the Waco Mammoth National Monument (US National Park Service),  and plenty of magnificent restaurants.  There are no power lines over the property so I invite you to bring a kite to fly! You may even see one or two of mine in the sky. The theme of Coyote Creek Farm is tranquility. It is camping without someone crowding into your space. It is freedom from the hectic pace of the city. There is a well maintained Compost Toilet on the property as well! Each individual campsite has a portable potty bucket provided.  Nearly any spot you are on has an amazingly delightful view. You can see the sun rise over the trees or the sun set behind a gently sloping hill. You will have access to all of the 30 acres. There are paths to walk, a stocked tank to fish in, (bass, catfish and blue gill),  and oak and pecan trees to sit under and view the clouds as they drift overhead. The noises you hear will be cattle calling to their little ones, birds singing, and in the evenings, coyotes howling.

Coyote Creek Farm -Tent Camping
I had a great stay here. Campsites are spaced out. Only 10 minutes from downtown Waco.

50 amp RV Mockingbird site
A great, quiet place to stay. Water is available but no sewer facilities. There's a nice fire pit and lots of room for pets to run. Toilet is just a bucket with a trash bag liner but it worked fine for us. Regena is a very nice and friendly lady.

Tent Camping w/electricity
We reserved what was represented as an RV site that was apprpriate for our Class A motorcoach. Upon arrival we were directed to drive out onto a patch of grass between the "hook-ups". On one side was a leaning post with a very old and rusty powerbox and on the other was an old but possibly adequate faucet. Between the two (the space designated as the site) the area was not wide enough to extend our slides...assuming we had been able to level our vehicle enough for the slides to work. We did not attempt to either level or extend slides. There was no hook-up or provision for waste disposal, even though our reservation was for two nights. There was no pad of any type, and the forecast was callng for 30% to 40% chance of rain all night. Not feeling comfortable parking in a soft surface field, we requested a different site. We were told what we were looking at was the ONLY site they have for RV use. The other four or five sites that were supposedly available were for tent camping only. In checking our confirmation text that arrived at about the same time as we got to the site, we saw that it actually identified the site as "Tent Camping w/electricity Site #1". Needless to say, we sought accomodations elsewhere. Despite the obvious unsuitability of the site for our needs, the "host" Regena Rushing, has steadfastly refused to issue any type of a refund.

50 amp RV Mockingbird site
Semi-private-ish
Regina is very nice, but we felt like we paid $100 to camp in someone’s yard for two nights, the spot is right next to dirt road and people that live near vehicles kept driving by kicking up dust, the neighbors and kids could be heard, we have pets and there were three dogs that kept coming around so we had to chase them off, the place should have been mowed close, the lights on the deck didn’t work, the trees around the fire pit haven’t been trimmed in a long time and are completely full of spiders, fire ants all around the fire pit area and ants are everywhere on property, the pond water is way down and full of moss and weeds taller than me are all around the pond, they mowed one little strip to get to one little spot, the spot to park RV was soft and hard to level, my boards and block’s kept sinking but finally got it level sorta, I think if you are going to rent a place and advertise the place with fishing and scavenger hunts for kids etc… you should at least keep it looking good and make sure lights work and everything is mowed around the camp spot and the pond, very disappointed and I doubt I’ll use Hipcamp again, they should do better job making sure the camp vendors are up to par and advertise as they are, pictures of this spot today would look different than what is online

Regena was responsive and helpful. She made sure our spot was set up nicely and helped us avoid issues with the slick road (stormy weather).
