Our full hook-up camp is in the middle of a small Amish community near the Finger Lakes. Amish buggies pass by occasionally especially on the Sunday where they meet at a neighbors for church fellowship. Our Amish are very friendly and will wave to let you know. There are Amish shops and baked good stands throughout the countryside that are fun to visit. A map of the shops is available to help you. Their shops are not open on Sunday however. The camp is close to the road where it is an easy in and out. We have full hookups...electric, water, and sewer (I have an extra 10 sewer hose if you need it). We are close to Stony Brook State Park, Conesus Lake, Deer Run Winery, Letchworth State Park, Livingston County Murals, Harriet Hollister Spencer State Park (overlook!), and Geneseo State College.

Our home is located 1/4 +/- mile from most sites. We are dog lovers and well behaved dogs are welcome as long as owners notify us in advance, keep them in control and clean up after them. Other attractions in the area: Charcoal Corral is your one stop spot for a delicious meal, ice cream, mini-golfing, and family entertainment. They are closed from mid fall till early spring. The "Lumberyard Resturant" is a great local restaurant! Towns of Perry and Warsaw are both within 10 minutes for all your coffee and ice cream shop, restaurant, gas station, and grocery needs. You'll park in the designated parking area and then there's a short walk back to the campsite. We provide a wagon to transport your luggage.

Beautiful property and so convenient to not have to put up my own tent. The tent is wonderful equipped with a wood burning stove. I camped on a reeeealllly cold & windy night so it was nice to have my Mr. Buddy heater to supplement in the middle of the night when I didn’t feel like tending to the fire. I didn’t have time to explore the other paths and I’m so bummed because it looked like an amazing place to frolick! If you are a star gazer, this is your place! The hosts were so amazing and very accommodating. I appreciated the fire!

The site is tucked back in hidden from everything but a field. The tent is great and the wood stove worked wonderfully once we remembered how vents work. The bed was quite comfortable but pick your side wisely if you are over 6 ft. The outhouse seems brand new and the short trails around the property are a nice morning walk. We were comfortably warm in the 30s, except for when I let the fire go out. Will definitely be stopping by again when it warms back up.

The only “set back” is that once you’re on the property, the grass road to get to the site is a bit narrow so some of the branches from the growth to the sides of us scratched our cars a bit. Outside of that, it was just what we needed to get a way for a little bit. Great view of the stars on a clear night if you walk a little up from the site to the small open area.

I took my daughter and her best friend on a 2 day camping trip at Would Knot and got so much more than I expected. The owner Doug and his girlfriend Val were so awesome, generous and kind. The weather was cold and much wetter than I had anticipated so they allowed us to use the large camper on their land which had a double bed and a couch for sleeping which was great since we had a tent, hammock and the back of the car for our original sleeping arrangements. There is an outhouse but we used the toilet in the camper at night. Plenty of wood for the fire available. Horses were beautiful and my daughter and her friend spent as much time as they wanted petting them and were allowed to feed them carrots as well. Thanks Doug and Val. Your land is amazing and we can’t wait to come back again to see you and the horses. The girls had a great time in spite of the rainy cold weather and enjoyed the combined barbecue that you so gratefully shared. Oh and thanks for the coffee and home baked warm zucchini bread. Such a nice trip with awesome people.

Our full hook-up camp is in the middle of a small Amish community near the Finger Lakes. Amish buggies pass by occasionally especially on the Sunday where they meet at a neighbors for church fellowship. Our Amish are very friendly and will wave to let you know. There are Amish shops and baked good stands throughout the countryside that are fun to visit. A map of the shops is available to help you. Their shops are not open on Sunday however. The camp is close to the road where it is an easy in and out. We have full hookups...electric, water, and sewer (I have an extra 10 sewer hose if you need it). A peaceful place, enjoy our small, restored apple orchard surrounding the garden, the chapel, cabana deck and try the observation platform! Benches and hammocks are found throughout the property: there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the quiet serenity of an overnight in the countryside. Our garden is perfect for intimate ceremonies & an excellent place to gather under the sun and stars. A remote setting, you’re close enough to feel at home but deep enough in the woods to get away from it all. Need more excitement? Stergelandia is teeming with life! Nightly, hear the frogs and the howl of the coyotes! We’ve seen deer, foxes, turkeys, hawks, chipmunks and bear on the property-a wildlife lovers paradise! We are 9 minutes from the Genesee River access point where fishing and paddling is plentiful! Guests with T-Mobile, ATT and Cricket have reliable cell service. Guests with Verizon report they are offline, leaving them free to their your phone for photos without the interruptions of outside life. Need some ideas for when to visit? About

Set in the rolling hills of western New York, Stony Brook State Park is known for its rugged gorge and three waterfalls, each with a plunge pool. Hikers can choose from three short but fairly challenging hiking trails for views of the gorge and falls, as well as rock formations and steep cliffs. The North Entrance for day use visitors has a picnic area, grills, playground, natural stream-fed pool, and entrance to the hiking trails. For overnighters, the wooded Stony Brook State Park Campground has 88 campsites and eight rustic cabins and is typically open from April or May through early October

Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. Bookings can easily be secured online or by phone.
  2. As this is a popular campground, reservations are recommended: bookings may be made up to nine months in advance.
  3. Same-day reservations are allowed until 3pm on the day of arrival.

When to go

Most visitors come to Stony Brook State Park to enjoy the natural pools, making summer the busiest season—swimming is typically permitted from mid-June through the first week in September when guards are on duty. If visiting on a summer weekend, try to arrive early, as the park can get uncomfortably crowded. During the winter season, most areas of the park are closed to the public including the South Entrance and all hiking trails. 

Know before you go

  • Due to damage caused by visitors, walking, swimming, and wading in the creek has been banned.
  • A maximum of two pets are allowed in campsites and day use areas, but not in the swimming area, and must be on a leash and have proof of rabies inoculation.
  • There are a number of grocery stores in Dansville, a few minutes away.

Stony Brook State Park Campground
Part of the 400 loop is on the brook. Site 420 has the best access down to the brook. The waterfalls are nice but small. No electric for campers. Supposed to be no alcohol allowed but as long as you aren't advertising it or getting too amped up you're probably fine.
