It's a convenient location for exploring historical Loyalist sites, the Tyendinaga Caves, breweries and wineries, Sandbanks Provincial Park, Lake on the mountain, and for fishing in the renowned Hay Bay. There are many nearby water access points including beaches and boat launches. We have 2 kayaks and 2 standup paddle boards available for half-day or full day rental. This is a great place for couples, families, or a girls trip away from it all; it's also an LGBTQ-friendly environment. An adorable little retro styled bunkie on a private woodsy property that’s just a fifteen minute walk (or three minute drive) from a picturesque rock beach on Lake Ontario. Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. So much to see and do here, lots of sightseeing, nature trails, conservation areas and don’t forget the world famous Sandbanks provincial park! (The largest sandbar beach in Canada). Perfect getaway for a couples glamping experience, solo glamping, peace, quiet, and relaxation. Or to just let loose and have a great time! There are no houses to either side of the property, so there’s no worry to be quiet 😉.

If you want privacy and seclusion this is your place . Our family lives on 80 acres 8 minutes from the town of Campbellford. We are on a dead end road out in the country. Upon arrival simply turn into our driveway and drive right past our house following the dirt path. Turn left just down the hill to the River. We are located on Bradley Bay on the Trent river with kms of lock free boating between Percy Boom and Glen Ross . We are located across from an island called Anderson island. Pike, pickeral, bass , Muskie ,channel cat ,and pan fish are in these waters. Our point is very private with plenty of birds and wild life to watch . We have one of our trails marked clearly threw out the woods for you to enjoy . We have a complementary canoe, 1 adult kayak, 1 adult SUP and 1 child’s kayaks . Life jackets and boat safety kits are also available . On the point we have a small fire pit and 2 docks. 1 of the docks face the river and one is up our little lagoon . A wonderful place for adults and children alike to fish , swim , relax and catch frogs and fire flies. We do have a few chairs and a child’s little turtle pool to swim and play in. The point is a long narrow grassy area. There are about 3 spots you could park a trailer . We think currently the max length would be a 24 foot trailer we could accommodate until we are able to open up the area a bit more. A small fishing boot about 14 foot and under could be launched at our water entry otherwise the closest public launch is about 5 minutes down the road . If we plan it ahead we have water from our well from a hose available. We are happy to let you fill your trailer up with water from our house hose on the way down to the point or any jugs you may have. Otherwise Ferris Provincial Park is about 7 minutes away. There is a water filling station and dumping station there for a small fee from the park. Things to do In area is the well known suspension bridge located in Campbellford. Doohers bakery and the Empire Cheese Factory and Chocolate Factory all within 10 minutes from our house . We also have local Breweries in the area, one being about 8 minutes away called the Fogorig Brewing. Campbellford is full of little shops and stores. It’s a beautiful walk back towards our house and down the laneway to the road as well. Great quiet country road for children and adults alike to go for a bike ride or walk along the road beside farmers fields where usually deer and sandhill cranes are seen. We usually touch base with our campers a week or so before there arrival date to give exact directions to our house via Hipcamp message. Upon arrival if arranged ahead of time we can be here to meet and greet you and ensure you are settled in. Otherwise there isn't a guarantee we will be at the property upon arrival but we can ensure that we will always have someone by phone for you to reach if need be at all times.

Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is a compostable toilet in an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. Weekend Trip to Island Spirits

One of the most incredible experiences I have ever had the pleasure to be apart of. Right from the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Captain TJs ferry ride over to the island was an amazing glimpse of what we had in store for us during our stay. When we arrived, the staff accompanied us to our campsite with a trailer full of our stuff. He helped us unload everything and made sure to check if we needed assistance with anything. About 5 minutes into setting up camp and being on the island, we were greeted by two very kind and happy mini horses. They stuck around our campsite for a while then decided to venture elsewhere. What an introduction to the island! The rest of our stay included beautiful walks around the very well kept island, canoeing on the gorgeous Rice Lake, playing and feeding all their amazing animals, most of which free roam! We loved getting our eggs fresh right from the chicken coops in the morning! My partner and I wished we had booked for longer as we were so sad to have to leave so soon. If you’re looking for a relaxing, fun, warm and welcoming space to spend your weekend (or longer!) then this is absolutely the place to go. We met many people who have been returning every year and now we will be joining the club! From the staff, to the animals, and the beautiful island, everything about our stay was incredible. We are so excited to return and are already counting down the days! Thank you to Captain TJ and all the staff!

I've been to Cabin in the Woods on a few occasions now and it's amazing every time! My family loves the serene lake and small waterfalls, the large and private campsites and Natalie's hospitality. My kids love fishing and there are bass and crappie fish there. Watching the stars and fireflies at night also adds a magical element to our getaways there. We always have an amazing time!

Our stay at Alison and Marie’s farm was delightful from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They helped us carry all of our gear to our campsite, guided us to the right location, and even came to the rescue when we ran out of ice by generously providing some from their own home to keep our food cold. The animals were such a wonderful touch and made the whole place feel warm, peaceful, and welcoming. We were also greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift, which really showed how much they care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We did have a few little earwig visitors, but it certainly wasn’t enough to take away from our incredibly pleasant stay. Being surrounded by nature, it’s simply part of the experience. Alison and Marie are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming people. Their genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend staying here to anyone passing through the area. 10/10—we would absolutely camp here again!

The river flowing through… YES, you can sit in and enjoy! Sooo refreshing, for both my dog and myself, as it was very hot during my stay. Natalie was very welcoming to both of us and My puppy truly enjoyed the loving attention given. It’s called the Blue Heron but we also experienced deer crossing in the water, beaver and maybe otters/mink playing in the water, a cute fox, a raccoon and a porcupine! Definitely a beautiful spot for relaxing! Thank you Natalie! 💝

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the seating arrangement inside helped when it was raining outside. The barbeque had extra amenities like barbeque tools. And the fire had some extra newspaper to help for starter. There are chairs around the fire and the table for eating. It was very useful. The property is quite large. We used the fan that was provided and it was very welcomed. The outhouse was quite clean too. If you are going, bring shoes that can get wet as the whole property is a little marshy. Also, my daughter did not like the little ants in the Bunkie, they did not bother me. The beach down the street was beautiful. About a five minute drive. Bring water shoes for the beach since it is rocky.

From the moment we arrived we knew we booked the right place! Katrina and Grahams private oasis was far more than we could have expected. The cabin was equipped with all sorts of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The inside stove was a true blessing for us coffee lovers lol. The room itself was more than enough room for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small kids) AND 2 large dogs. We were able to fit a queen size blow up mattress beside the bed to make a mega bed for the 4 of us. The cabin was also stocked with flashlights, lanterns and head lamps! The out building had cotts if need be along with an abundance of chairs and fishing equipment. The fire pit was big and beautiful and came with a VERY useful cast iron pot with grill to boil water over the fire. There was some wood readily available and hubby enjoyed foraging. The sitting area overlooking the river had a stunning view where we took many photos. The 2nd sitting area had a screened in porch with deck and dock just a few feet away. The kids had a wonderful time watching the crayfish and attempting to catch minnows here. The 3rd sitting area had a firepit overlooking the water. We enjoyed canoeing and even took a trip to Crowe lake for some fishing. Katrina & Graham literally thought of everything to make this place perfect and We had the most WONDERFUL time ♡ Our dogs were in literal HEAVEN the entire time swimming their hearts out. Our only regret was not booking a longer trip! Thanks SO much K&G! we WILL be back! 😁

I strongly recommend Alison's campsite. There is a lot of space, a perfect combination of shade and sunlight, and everything was well prepared for our arrival. It is right next to the ferry to Prince Edward County and a 2-minute drive away from an access to the lake for a swim or to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. The hosts are lovely, helpful, and provide local recommendations. Little bonus for the sweet goats and baby chickens. We had a great time!

Amanda was an amazing host! We celebrated my birthday at her property, and everything was absolutely perfect. She was incredibly kind, respectful, and always quick to answer any questions we had, which made the whole experience stress-free. The property was exactly what we were looking for, and honestly, I couldn't have found a better place to celebrate. We had such a wonderful time and truly appreciated Amanda's hospitality. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful and well-managed place. Jamie made our check in super easy. The bathroom facilities (with soap and water) were new and clean. There was a huge gazebo to hide from the elements. It was incredible to wake up looking over Lake Ontario.
