There are many nearby water access points including beaches and boat launches. We have 2 kayaks and 2 standup paddle boards available for half-day or full day rental. This is a great place for couples, families, or a girls trip away from it all; it's also an LGBTQ-friendly environment. Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible. Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails. Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used. There is a large bonfire area on our farm, (a little bit away from the Bunkie) also a play area for kids including zip line, boat structure, sand box, swing, above ground pool and trampoline; gorgeous circular organic garden with seating area and a small orchard. Inside the cabin there is a jug of water for your morning coffee. Coffee maker, mugs, plates, utensils are provided There are 4 single foam mattresses that make up a single bed, or three 4 double foldout foam mattresses to accommodate two. We are 5 minutes to the quaint town of Norwood, and minutes to Hastings Trent River's fishing adventures! We are close to all the needed amenities. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is a compostable toilet in an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. A private piece of Prince Edward County! An adorable little retro styled bunkie on a private woodsy property that’s just a fifteen minute walk (or three minute drive) from a picturesque rock beach on Lake Ontario. Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. So much to see and do here, lots of sightseeing, nature trails, conservation areas and don’t forget the world famous Sandbanks provincial park! (The largest sandbar beach in Canada). Perfect getaway for a couples glamping experience, solo glamping, peace, quiet, and relaxation. Or to just let loose and have a great time! There are no houses to either side of the property, so there’s no worry to be quiet 😉.

Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit! We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog. We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails. Goat walks are about 30 minutes generally and $15 per walk. Our own Free Range eggs are available for $7/doz as well as firewood for $10 per bundle Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range! We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please. We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022! We welcome tents and all trailers!

Our property has 2 camping cabins located on 40 acres across the road from a beautiful waterfall. Each rental has its own private outhouse, picnic table, campfire pit and solar power. An outside shower room, flush toilet and common lounge with complimentary coffee and wifi is also available on site. There are marked walking trails on the property and at nearby conservation areas. Plenty to do on the grounds and within a 30 min drive, including sightseeing Prince Edward County, or checking out historic Kingston and Belleville. Wifi is available on the grounds at the lounge and gazebo, a short walk from the cabins. We have campfire wood available on site for $10/tote. Each tote contains paper, lighter, kindling and enough firewood to last hours into the night. Simply request at check in and we will deliver it to your cabin. The scenic waterfall across the road is part of the Salmon River watershed where you can take a refreshing dip seasonally. In the center of the property is a lovely sensory garden where you can sit and enjoy birds, butterflies and beautiful blossoms.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in the glamping dome on Mai’s land. The dome was comfortable and made the experience feel special, while the property itself was peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Mai was welcoming and helpful, and everything was well organized. We also really enjoyed seeing the chickens around the property, which added a charming countryside feel to the stay. It was a great place to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and get away from the city. We would definitely recommend it and would happily return.

Our third stay at this wonderful little cabin, and Mother Nature has given us a different experience every time! Last year brought a fire ban and a quiet riverbed, while New Year’s gave us all her winter charms—sun, snow, ice storms and even a blizzard. This time the river was running, and oh, the sound of it—during the day and as we fell asleep at night. We had cozy rainy days, beautiful sunny ones, and one new addition…the mosquitoes! They were very determined to become our best friends and join every outdoor activity. Thankfully, a good fire helped establish some much-needed boundaries! We celebrated our anniversary here, and once again it was the perfect place to step away from the pressures of everyday life, slow down, reconnect with each other and remember what really matters. Three visits, three completely different experiences, and wonderful memories from each. We’ll be back!

We loved our four nights at Alison’s and Marie! They were so kind, with beautiful attentions for our family with our 4yo. I loved how calm it was, very big lot and nobody near, so our daughter could enjoy running around even if she’s shy. The animals are well treated, the chickens are free roam and just enjoy their lives. We heard owls, coyotes and saw lots of butterflies and bats! The toilet was very clean. The gazebo is so cute. Sincerely, we just loved that we felt like we were part of their family! Talking with our hosts was so fun, not something I usually do, but their amazing vibes will make you comfortable! We were close enough for the beach of sandbanks but also to enjoy the other cities around! We found amazing family parks and loved when we return to the camp to just enjoy life with the animals. Just bring some earplugs for the rooster in the morning, to be expected! And bring enough water for your dishes, since there no washing station. Thanks for everything, Bettina ate all the courgette in a day and always ask for the « good honey » nonstop. We can’t wait to come again!

We were delighted to spend a night at this gem of a camping spot just minutes to Picton and the Glenora ferry. Alison and Marie were the most accommodating and hospitable hosts, we only wish that we could spend more time here. The goats and chickens were such a fun and interactive feature of the property and we appreciated the charm of the farm life just outside our tent. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone!

Natalie's land is beautiful - from the nature, the access to water, the animal sightseeing... We loved the land upon arrival. Natalie is sweet, kind and truly has put so much effort into making this place feel like home, especially for our dog. We didn't want to leave! The Bunkie had everything we needed, thoughtfully decorated, and what a gorgeous view from the deck - we even had a private fire pit at back. The outhouse was clean and well maintained. We will for sure be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Cabin in the Woods

Another lovely stay - this is an annual retreat for me now. Having stayed at both the Boot Hill and Field of Dreams sites, I can say they're both very well-appointed. This year we really appreciated the fireplace-style campfire grill, as it allowed us to enjoy our fire in the rain. Exploring the falls and river were the highlight of our stay. Our host even brought us some freshly-picked tomatoes! It was just the relaxing weekend we needed. See you next year, Field of Dreams :)

What a magical, back-to-nature escape! We had an incredible stay in the cozy bunkie, but spent some evenings sleeping out in the gazebo. The property is surrounded by gentle rapids, and so many dragonflies. Watching a blue heron along the water was such a special highlight. Best of all, our dog had an absolute blast running off-leash with so much room to explore and safely jump into the stream. If you’re looking to truly unwind and reconnect with nature, this spot is an absolute gem. Katrina and Graham are such awesome hosts - we will definitely be back

This is a great little spot right behind the motel. It’s nice and convenient for when you need a place to camp. The grassy area to camp is just a large patch of grass where you can pitch a tent. The RV sites are really nice. They are all gravel and well leveled. We expected to hear more noise from the highway, but it’s not too bad at all.

Weekend Trip to Tranquil Glamping Getaway!

Loved staying in the RV on Mike's little piece of paradise on Rice Lake. Had a nice little area with a campfire pit and a barbecue for us to use. The chairs provided were perfect to view the stars at night and his little dock on the lake was perfect to view the sunset! The RV had all the necessary amenities and was quite comfortable. I highly recommend this please to anyone who's wishing a little Escape by the lake.
