Our property is located 5 minutes from the free ferry to Picton, Prince Edward County. It's a convenient location for exploring historical Loyalist sites, the Tyendinaga Caves, breweries and wineries, Sandbanks Provincial Park, Lake on the mountain, and for fishing in the renowned Hay Bay. There are many nearby water access points including beaches and boat launches. We have 2 kayaks and 2 standup paddle boards available for half-day or full day rental. This is a great place for couples, families, or a girls trip away from it all; it's also an LGBTQ-friendly environment. Our land is very private and beautifully sheltered by trees all around the campsite. There is an open field as well that also has trees on the outskirts. A video is available upon request! Fenella is a small village about 7 min away that has a large convenience/ grocery/Beer store as well as gas stations and Canabis beyond belief ! Go carts, food trucks and the best Butter Tart Factory as well! Warkworth is a town east of us about 20 min and Cobourg is 20 min South of us. Many shopping experiences available. Primrose Donkey Sanctuary is down the road a few minutes which we highly suggest visiting. Look their hours up before planning a visit! We have easy access up our road about 1 km to the Northumberland Trails where you can ride your horses, cycle, ride your ATVs,walk or jog. We have goats and can provide goat walks on our own trails. Goat walks are about 30 minutes generally and $15 per walk. Our own Free Range eggs are available for $7/doz as well as firewood for $10 per bundle Dogs are welcome as long as they are constantly on a leash, as we have chickens that free range! We ask that you bring your own water and hydro please. We hosted 35-40 endurance horses and their riders in August of 2022! We welcome tents and all trailers!

This MICRO cabin hide away becomes a perfect home base to unplug, relax, read, cook over a open fire or close enough to explore the area. Our cabin is perfect for the camper who enjoys, and is familiar with camping and the outdoors! We offer rustic, with a bit of extra glam to your camping experience! Although the cabin is insulated, and there is a small realistic looking electric heater...in the cooler months it only takes off the chill. You'll want to pack warmer clothing for the cooler nights. You'll find a lovely outdoor stone firepit with a grill to enjoy cozy campfires or to cook on. The site is provided with a picnic table/umbrella, rustic outdoor furniture, and a clean, simple outhouse, also a small outdoor kitchen and hand washing area. Propane stove and propane is provided. Inside the cabin there is a jug of water for your morning coffee. Coffee maker, mugs, plates, utensils are provided There are 4 single foam mattresses that make up a single bed, or three 4 double foldout foam mattresses to accommodate two. We are 5 minutes to the quaint town of Norwood, and minutes to Hastings Trent River's fishing adventures! We are close to all the needed amenities. Although there is some wood to use, we encourage our hipcamper to pick up 2 bags of dry wood as may be damp. Sit by the pond, sit by the creek, sit in the waterfall, sit out at Blueberry Hill for a pleasant breeze or up on SunStar Ridge for some nightly star gazing or lay back in a hammock or on zero gravity chairs 1 Bunkie on a hill overlooking the pond and 2 private tent sites, one at Boot Hill and one in the Field of Dreams. Each site has a fire pit and a compostable toilet and there is a compostable toilet in an outhouse on the property for the bunkie. Great for canoes, kayaks, bird and wildlife watching with spectacular star gazing. This property was part of an old homestead and as such I am still finding things so please respect the caution tape. Some finds are treasures (European Grapes, Bergamot, French Roses, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Ramps, Fiddle-heads) and others not so much. I am re purposing what I can and collecting the rest for disposal as I nurture this land back to what it was meant to be, paradise. There is an outdoor shower available as well. If you want privacy and seclusion this is your place . Our family lives on 80 acres 8 minutes from the town of Campbellford. We are on a dead end road out in the country. Upon arrival simply turn into our driveway and drive right past our house following the dirt path. Turn left just down the hill to the River. We are located on Bradley Bay on the Trent river with kms of lock free boating between Percy Boom and Glen Ross . We are located across from an island called Anderson island. Pike, pickeral, bass , Muskie ,channel cat ,and pan fish are in these waters. Our point is very private with plenty of birds and wild life to watch . We have one of our trails marked clearly threw out the woods for you to enjoy . We have a complementary canoe, 1 adult kayak, 1 adult SUP and 1 child’s kayaks . Life jackets and boat safety kits are also available . On the point we have a small fire pit and 2 docks. 1 of the docks face the river and one is up our little lagoon . A wonderful place for adults and children alike to fish , swim , relax and catch frogs and fire flies. We do have a few chairs and a child’s little turtle pool to swim and play in. The point is a long narrow grassy area. There are about 3 spots you could park a trailer . We think currently the max length would be a 24 foot trailer we could accommodate until we are able to open up the area a bit more. A small fishing boot about 14 foot and under could be launched at our water entry otherwise the closest public launch is about 5 minutes down the road . If we plan it ahead we have water from our well from a hose available. We are happy to let you fill your trailer up with water from our house hose on the way down to the point or any jugs you may have. Otherwise Ferris Provincial Park is about 7 minutes away. There is a water filling station and dumping station there for a small fee from the park. Things to do In area is the well known suspension bridge located in Campbellford. Doohers bakery and the Empire Cheese Factory and Chocolate Factory all within 10 minutes from our house . We also have local Breweries in the area, one being about 8 minutes away called the Fogorig Brewing. Campbellford is full of little shops and stores. It’s a beautiful walk back towards our house and down the laneway to the road as well. Great quiet country road for children and adults alike to go for a bike ride or walk along the road beside farmers fields where usually deer and sandhill cranes are seen. We usually touch base with our campers a week or so before there arrival date to give exact directions to our house via Hipcamp message. Upon arrival if arranged ahead of time we can be here to meet and greet you and ensure you are settled in. Otherwise there isn't a guarantee we will be at the property upon arrival but we can ensure that we will always have someone by phone for you to reach if need be at all times.

Fifthwind farm is located high on a hilltop in Northumberland county. Our farm is only 10 minutes north of Cobourg yet feels tranquil and remote. The view is spectacular…on a clear day New York State is visible. Our Bunkie is fully insulated and cozy on cold winter nights. The Northumberland Forest is quite close and it offers many cross-country ski trails. Because of the cold weather, our outdoor shower it’s not operable during the winter months. The Bunkie does not have running water, but water is provided, and the sink can still be used. I enjoyed having the quiet time with the dogs. I was a short walk to Beaver Creek and was able to use her kayak and the little cabin to sit by the water out of the bugs. I took kayak for a short paddle and saw a coyote and racoon on shore. Later in the evening I saw 2 deer in the field by my site and the a beaver and crane in the water by the bridge. Natalie was super friendly and enjoyed meeting my dogs. Other then the mosquitoes at this time of year it was a great place to get away for a few days. Definitely would go back again.

Amazing trip with family and dogs. Beautiful place dogs loved the freedom, definitely ticks to keep an eye out for but otherwise their paradise getaway as well as ours away from home. Everything available to our use, more than expected and peaceful and quiet. Thanks Katrina and Graham!

Great open field to play vollyball (net already set up), catch, frisbee, fireplace, etc.. while still having areas off to the side to pitch your tent or small rv that are shaded. Sheltered "kitchen" area with a large picnic table to prepare meals with your own stove or smaller bbq. Can't say enough about the outhouse. Clean, no smell, decorated, stringed lights, stocked. Outside an area to wash up with fresh water after you're done. Only drawback is we were only there 1 night. Great for larger groups of people.

Weekend Trip to Ballyduff Escapes

Incredible experience at ballyduff. My 8 year old son and I had the site for April 25th weekend. Cold, rainy weekend, around 0°c for two nights while on a fishing trip. The site is fantastic, isolated evergreen strip that has a feeling of seclusion I cant quite describe. Breathe taking view to the west provided two wonderful sun sets over the rolling farm hills. Easy to find and access. All amenities were stocked full and clean. The (s**t house) or porta potty was, as my young lad called it " the best porta potty I've ever seen in my life !! " impressively clean with lovely jokes posted and a very interesting old recipe book, I can confidently say I agree with him the best one ever! This site would be perfect for a larger group.

Weekend Trip to Backwoods Cabin Co

Me and my spouse loved stayed at Addys. Corey was super accomidating and he let us enjoy the relaxing cabin in peace and quiet. We enjoyed the trail system out back and our dog was in heaven. Its a great vibe in the cabin and outside. It was cooler one night so the fire going was a great touch with the old records and dvds to keep us entertained. We enjoyed coffee on the upper deck and I even took a nap in the hammock. We are from Hamilton so if we come back we will book Addys again.

This made for a great spot to enjoy some peace and quiet away from it all! Close enough to town to grab something to eat and take a stroll but tucked away enough to feel lost in the best way. My wintry visit was exactly what I was hoping for. Knowledge on wood stoves is a definite must during the colder months but if you've got the skills then you'll be basking in the warmth it provides and loving every second.

5 nights at Riverbend

This was our 2nd time at Riverbend Grayotter cabin. We wanted to be in a calm, natural, grounded and magical place to Thank 2025 for the valuable lessons, leaving behind what needs to be left behind, what to carry forward and to set New intentions for 2026. No Better Place than Riverbend! Mother Nature greeted us generously offering every shade of her weather; freezing rain, a sunny morning that ended with an afternoon blizzard, snow crunched walks on trails and around the flowing river with ice formations, days with big fluffy snowflakes and outdoor fires under starry skies with a luminous moon. Maise(our dog) also enjoyed being free to roam and explore the wintery weather. Grayotter Cabin protected us from the elements and we stayed warm and cozy by the wood stove. There was plenty of fire wood and lots of snow to melt for washing dishes. Riverbend and the wonders of Mother Naure treated us to a Winter Wonderland! We would definitely come again in the winter! It was another amazing and magical adventure at Riverbend Grayotter Cabin. We got to meet Katrina and Graham which was an added bonus to our trip!
