Beautiful Views, Wonderful Hosts

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely loved this farm!
The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and generous. They responded to every request, shared fresh vegetables and fruit from their garden with us, and made us feel right at home. There was a clean shower, a toilet, and fresh water available, making our stay very comfortable.
They have a beautiful campfire area, and they kindly agreed to spend the evening with us so we could get to know each other better. We really enjoyed our conversation and appreciated the time they shared with us.
The property is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is stunning, the gardens are most beautiful, the buildings are full of character, and you can see the creativity and love that have gone into every detail. We could even see a bit of Lake Ontario from our camper!
What impressed us most was the hosts' creativity, craftsmanship, and ingenuity. Everywhere you look, you can see the results of their imagination, hard work, and attention to detail. It's truly inspiring to see people their age creating, building, inventing, and improving things with such energy and enthusiasm. They are a wonderful example for younger generations.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm and your incredible hospitality with us. We left with wonderful memories and hope to come back again!
Henry & Johana are really nice people and are so welcoming, they offer coin laundry on site & have a pool, trampoline, zip line, lots of room to walk around, huge garden!! We love the area and our stay was amazing at their RV site! We definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place near New Castle, about 30m drive but so worth it! We will deff come back next year and will be booking early!
Highly recommended trip with Henry and his funky bunkie! I love every single minute in it. Very clean place, they provide everything you need. Just bring food. Henry is very friendly and intelligent, this bunkie he built is filled with of characters. It’ll be better if the fire pit was closer to the bunkie. It’s definitely a great place for couples and small families to spend some wonderful time at the farm.

We arrived the on the holiday weekend for Thanksgiving and we were fortunate enough to get the Bunkie for an evening unrelatively short notice through HipCamp. The girlfriend and I wanted a small getaway even though we lived within 2 hours of the funky Bunkie.
It was unfortunately raining and not very nice weather that evening. My girlfriend and I settled in made ourselves comfortable and we quite enjoyed our secluded getaway. A couple of times the stars broke out in the evening and it was a beautiful sight.
That being said, Henry, the host give us a tour throughout his amazing property. If anybody who reads this post to the fullest, you will meet the "Doc Brown" of environmental building. What he's done with what he outsourced and is pretty mind-blowing at a construction standpoint. If you're into the stuff, Henry ia enthusiastic to share his creations. :)

Hi to everyone who see my review I just want to leave my experience in this place I had been visit with my family, I don’t recommend this place for anyone. It was Mr. please nothing to do and there is a construction business in this farm, which is not safe for family specially, who have kids. In addition, the fireplace and the pool was away from the cabinet that you stay on it. I talk to The guy who was guide me to take a tour around the farm and it was really bad. I just leave the place after I take a tour around the farm. The pictures that in the website, a huge different than the fact I just waste my family holiday that we plan to do in this place and the owner. He just sent me back a night after the day I arrived. In the end, I don’t recommend this place for anyone specially who has a family.
We really enjoyed our stay. Henry and Johanna were great hosts and gave us an extensive tour of their farm, garden and sustainable-building projects. Cooling off in their above-ground pool, while admiring the pollinator garden was a real treat. My main goal was to photograph the night sky with a small telescope. The Funkie Bunkie was a convenient spot to set up a telescope with a commanding view of the northern sky. This was my main target for the trip: https://flic.kr/p/2rjufoy
The Funkie Bunkie is simple, but clean and comfortable. There is no A/C, so the upper bunk can be a little warm during a heatwave, but fan and windows made it comfortable. A great place to enjoy the night sky and the nearby trails.
We had an amazing experience at the Funky Bunky!
It’s a kid’s paradise—highly recommended for families with young children. You can enjoy the pool, sandbox, and hammock, or roast marshmallows around their beautiful campfire.
There’s even a zipline just for kids! We visited in the summer, and the little ones had a blast picking vegetables in the stunning garden. And of course, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.

The Funky Bunkie
We had a wonderful time in the Funky Bunky! It was just what our family was looking for. We had our privacy, but Henry was available when we needed anything. My son and I loved visiting the lambs. Henry and his wife are really interesting people to talk to. It is a beautiful property!
It is located on a slightly higher hill than the surrounding area, so it is peaceful and beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunset.
The owner was kind and always ready to listen to the guests.
The kids roasted marshmallows and had fun chatting at the campfire prepared for us.
Above all, the beautiful constellations in the pitch-black night sky were the highlight of the camping.
The kids were amazed and ~ it made the place even more special.
It was a pity that we couldn't see the beautiful garden near the host because it wasn't full spring, but I hope we'll have the chance next time.
The accommodation is spacious and cozy enough for 3 people. When we went, it was a little windy and cool in the morning and evening, but it was well insulated, so it wasn't cold even without the heater on.
In particular, the bathroom was located right next to the accommodation, and it was clean and well-maintained so that there was no smell.
We didn't use the shower room that was guided, but if you go camping in the summer, you can wash and use it comfortably. Additionally, electricity, Wi-Fi, and various kitchen facilities provide convenience during the camping period.
