This wad our second time here and we loved it! It's so quiet and beautiful in the fall! We brought our 17 ft hybrid camper and it fits perfectly there. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could stay more. This is a gem!

Beautiful site and host very communicative. The only “set back” is that once you’re on the property, the grass road to get to the site is a bit narrow so some of the branches from the growth to the sides of us scratched our cars a bit. Outside of that, it was just what we needed to get a way for a little bit. Great view of the stars on a clear night if you walk a little up from the site to the small open area.

Very private, great campfire area with nice furniture, connects to state forest area so cool wildlife, easy access, free wood was really helpful, close to a couple quaint towns and right near a protected lake. We set up a few hammocks with plenty of room for more.

We enjoyed our time at this campsite! It felt really private and we didn't see another human being on foot or driving by the site at all which was a big bonus. We really liked having the sturdy camp furniture to use and it was really nice to have the wood provided for us! When I did have a question the host was very responsive. I have already shared the campsite with a few friends!

This is our third time back to this lovely place to enjoy the breathtaking fall beauty. Nothing can compare to being completely, privately immersed in nature . The lake is close by for hiking and Justin is a tremendous host .

The site is very nice, with Adirondack chair setup (two singles chairs, a table, a double with a table, a 2-3 seater swing, and a picnic table that could probably fit 8 people). There is a fire pit with grill, a pit toilet (that was very clean), and the owner left us some firewood.
The site is pretty, and overlooks a steep drop off. Its not too close, but I have a young daughter, and had to stress to her the severity of the situation, and then roped off a boundary.
We hiked walnut trail, and walked back along hemlock lake. I was told there are better trails, but this one was super close. This is close to OSB Cidery (which I recommend) and there’s a winery nearby, which we didn’t make it to.
The campsite is ver scenic, and if I hadn’t brought my 4 year old, I could have stayed onsite and read a book by the fire the whole day.

My friends and I had a really nice time staying at this site. It was perfectly spacious. Flat grounds for our tents. I brought my pups and they had a perfect amount of space to roam around. And good trees to put a line up to attach them to. The wooded chairs and swings were soo cute and comfy to relax in. Justin met us to bring some firewood down. And greeted my dogs too which meant a lot!

This place is quickly becoming our favorite spot! Very quiet and most importantly, very private. Since it's just one camping spot (not shared) it's pretty much just you and the woods. Love it! Coming back in the Fall after the trees start to change.

This is a beautiful slice of heaven , nestled in the serene woodlands of Hemlock / Candice State Forest. The large space boasted rustic Adirondack furniture , large campfire pit, swing with a view and outhouse . We ended up staying two extra days because we enjoyed the secluded paradise so much . Sunrises were beautiful coming up through the ravine and Justin is a fantastic host . We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful site -- clean, shaded, nice fire ring, very good outhouse. I hammock camped here two nights and it was quiet and peaceful. Picnic table was great. I didn't use the swing or chairs except to dry clothes but I'm sure they're very nice too! The whole site feels secluded and private. Justin was very responsive to my questions. I hope to come back!

Have come here a couple times with our van for Goose shows at CMAC and love this spot! Our favorite HipCamp we’ve been to thus far. Very secluded and private and the furniture around the site is very convenient. Outhouse was clean and did the job for our friends without a bathroom. Owner is very nice and responsive, cannot wait to return next year!

Nice, secluded, quiet location but property seems vacant. Easy to find address but not so clearly signed to the camping spot. No reply to our messages to host. Sadly didn’t get the same experience as prior guests as barely any firewood, just enough for 1 night, and outhouse not maintained. We had to share it with all the mice and didn’t match the photos or comments from others. Outside furniture was a bonus, sat listening to the waterfall and seeing chipmunks running around.

The location and the benches around the fire pit were a nice touch. We were confused about the situation, but we want to give the benefit of the doubt since we were the first reservations in a while (first nice day in the area in a long time), and we booked the place at the last minute.
The description says to meet the owner at the site, but no one was on this property. There was a house on the property, and we knocked on the door, but no one was home.
The description also said that wood would be included, but we didn't know where to get that from. We sent a message to the owner but didn't get a response.
None of this is a huge problem, but the description might need to be adjusted. We would love to try this spot again sometime!

We loved staying on Robert’s land. It was perfect for a short weekend getaway. The area was flat, dry, quiet and well kept with a perfect canopy of trees overhead. We loved having the additional furniture and appreciated getting a supply of wood, which lasted us both days. The area and facilities were very clean. It was only a short car ride away to some of the lakes and towns nearby. It had everything we needed and we would highly recommend. We hope to be back again soon.

We had a great stay here. Would definitely come back. Nice and secluded feel without being to far from civilization. Was nice to bring our 2 large dogs and not have to worry about other people. Having the outhouse was a definite plus. Robert left us with more wood than we even needed and there was great seating already there which was appreciated! Lots of shade too so we weren't stuck in the sun the whole time.

Had a great stay! This is a lovely, quiet, and private little patch of woods with a comfortable balance of light and shade. Good location: we found a nice park in town for kayaking and took a day trip to Letchworth State Park. Shopping & food nearby if you need it. The onsite furniture is both cute and very usable, with a huge picnic table. Plenty of fire wood was provided. The cooking grate over the fire ring was very appreciated, since our camp stove failed. Even the clean, close by, composting toilet was pleasant. Host was friendly and very respectful of two women camping by themselves. Would definitely camp here again if in the area!

We enjoyed our stay. Robert met us and guided us to the site, which is located near his house but down a gravel path. We were provided with plenty of firewood. While on the site, we barely heard or saw anyone else, except an occasional passing car or lawn mower in the distance. The campsite had nice wooden furniture and a very clean pit toilet. We took a 15 min walk through the woods to get to Hemlock Lake, though it was a bit treacherous at points. You can also easily drive there too. The stars were very bright in the meadows near the site.

We loved camping on Bob's land. Tge site is equal to most state park campsites with space and nice seating. The outhouse is also one of the nicest/cleanest we have ever seen. A little challenging to back a trailer in to in a rainstorm, but a nice gravel surface. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful private wooded campsite. Backs up to the forest. Robert was super kind and helpful. He has done a great job with adding nice furniture and a table to the site. He provided firewood as well. The vault toilet is clean and taken care of. Would stay here again and would reccommend it to everyone.

The campsite location was quite private. There is a house in view but it is across a ravine and partially shielded by trees. The rustic furniture around the fire pit is comfy and well made. There is a new, odor free out house. Bob provided us with an abundant amount of fire wood.

Visited for the solar eclipse and despite the rainy weather was absolutely worth it. Robert’s little spot is lovely, it sits right at the edge of a big ravine and borders state forest land with a ton of natural space to explore right outside the campground itself. Robert has done an excellent job with the facilities, the site has the cleanest pit toilet I’ve ever seen. He is a communicative host who proactively told me about a road closure, saving me a ton of headache on the way there. I would strongly recommend booking here! Just a couple of things I would keep in mind: if you’re tent camping like I was the ground is kind of rocky as it is in the mountains, so I would use heavy duty stakes. Also, while it is secluded there is a house on the other side of the ravine so you may not want to engage in any activities you wouldn’t want them to see. Also make sure you remember where the ravine is, especially if you come in at night like I did, it’s quite the drop! Otherwise it is basically a perfect camp site for the area and I would come back if I was in the neighborhood in a heart beat!

We had a fantastic time on Robert’s land! The site was very clean and very private. If you’re looking for a nice relaxing place to stay then look no further! I’ve stayed on many sites with Hipcamp and this one is definitely one of my favorites! We will be back!!
