If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool. Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven. There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide. Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). Unplug and recharge at this beautifully crafted off-grid timber-frame cabin, tucked away in a secluded corner of my homestead. We live on a dead-end road beside a large town forest, where we grow fruits and vegetables and raise chickens. The cabin is 125 square feet and features a very comfortable queen-size mattress. There is an outdoor kitchen, a hammock, a cedar-lined outhouse with a composting toilet, and a fire ring. You'll park by the barn and walk about 100 yards to the cabin. There are plenty of great hiking trails in the town forest, several nice swimming holes nearby, and beautifully dark night skies. Brattleboro is a 15-minute drive, and Greenfield, Massachusetts, is about 25 minutes away.

Weekend Trip to The Cabin

The cabin served as the perfect home base for our trip to surrounding outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, climbing are all around!). We felt secluded but also safe. Hosts were friendly and kind but also gave us our space. Best outhouse ever and the fairy houses were an added bonus. We regret not staying longer to checkout Shelburne Falls and perhaps just spend a day unwinding at the cabin with its great view and peaceful vibes. Just means we will have to be back soon!

I loved staying on Jon’s property. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had a comfy bed and plenty of room to spread out. After an unexpected event forced me to arrive a day later than expected Jon graciously offered me the cabin for an additional night at no charge. He told me about all the trails on the property and brought me some fresh eggs. I didn’t leave the property and just explored with a couple mile walk. My dog loved being free to explore and chase Jon’s dogs. It was the perfect couple of days away to unwind before going back to school.

1 night at Mishnoah Retreat

I enjoyed my stay at the Camp. Oiginally, I was supposed to stay in a different cabin, but I was redirected to the 'Chief's Cabin', which was smaller but had a hot shower and plumbed toilet. It was a comfy space and I got a good night's sleep. There is a nice pond, with accessible boats for you to enjoy, and overall the camp is a friendly, peaceful place to enjoy and get away from the city for a bit.

Positively surpassed our expectations in every way imaginable. This was the highlight of our summer and possibly the coolest thing I've ever done with my son before. Safe, serene, thoughtfully designed, incredibly cool, such great and welcoming communication with the host, a friendly and healing environment. We spent the day just floating on the giant lake and exploring. Saw some cool birds, a baby snake and the coolest bug I've ever seen. 100% best spot ever!

Weekend Trip to Mishnoah Retreat

The Owl cabin was more than what I hoped to find for a weekend getaway. It was close to nature, nestled in the forest and had a rustic cabin feel but with all the comforts of home. It was nice to sleep in late while listening to the rain on the roof, then on a quiet night, hearing the animals dipping into the lake. I will come again!

This was a great little cabin to go with my two youngest children! We played outside all day around the fire pit and the yard exploring the property a little to look at statues. And then it when it was bedtime it was Wi-Fi on best of all worlds! The decor is so beautiful with all of the exposed wood and the art collection is immaculate and eclectic! You can tell Miss Mary has poured her heart into this place the infrared sauna was neat too! Not as intense as a traditional one, well at least not at the lower setting I use. We would recommend camping here if you don't have or want to get all the camping gear, there's a fully stocked kitchen I didn't need to bring tin foil! I didn't need to bring a long lighter! Everything was there along with the stove fridge and basic spices.

7 nights at Wyomanock Farm

It was a bit of an awkward arrival due to Hipcamp not refunding the host and I prior to my stay. Beyond that the site was absolutely beautiful. I woke up to rabbits hummingbirds, and even a porcupine. There was a recent situation with a dog, so Tom was sure to let me know that leashes are preferred. I would say this is valuable, especially for the amazing wild life. You’ll see while camping here. The sites are private. I stayed for a week and I enjoyed Pittsfield and all the amazing hikes. I highly recommend the country store and ask someone who was coming in from camping it was really nice to be able to do laundry and such an amazing place five minutes down the road! Definitely a great place to explore! Worth staying for longer than just a night even if you’re passing through.

Owl cabin was incredible! If you are considering staying here do it! The pond is immaculate and the kayaks and paddle boards are free to use. The campground has so many hidden gems and the bathrooms are very nice. And the bed was 11/10

Mount Norwottock was a very good, relatively short, but moderately challenging hike with a few fun rock scrambles and excellent views. A visit to nearby Atkins Farms Country Market afterwards was a treat as well!

I walked on the trail in Warwick State Forest. Very quiet and well managed trail. The fire tower at the summit of Mt Grace is amazing with 360 degree views.
