Inside you'll find a snug, weatherproof shelter with just enough room to settle in for the night. This is a bare-bones camping experience: please bring your own mattress (or sleeping pad) and sleeping bag — the space itself is provided, but bedding is all you. Outside, you'll have a picnic table for meals and games, a fire pit for evenings under the stars, and a nearby portapotty for convenience. Perfect for anyone chasing a whimsical, low-frills escape into the woods.

Great spot!

Orchard Overlook

Just spent two nights at Orchard Overlook and it was exactly what I was hoping for. The porta potty was spotless, and the parking area is nicely flat and level. Tucked just off the road so it's easy to find, but set back enough into the woods that it feels properly secluded and quiet. It's also just a few miles from the Quabbin Reservoir, which has hiking, picnicking, boating, fishing, and other recreation nearby. It made for a good basecamp. Slept great. Would recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, low-hassle spot. Will be back.
