Had an amazing stay on the property. John provided directions and had the fire wood ordered waiting on arrival. Arrived on 95+ degree day and setup the tent by the pond. BBQ’d and setup a projector by the shed. At sundown could hear the yotes in the distance which was awesome. Watched a storm/lightning make its way from the Northwest for over 30 minutes but underestimated how bad it was going to be. The storm hit with a fury with high winds and rain lasting about 30 minutes. Had a 10x10 canopy casualty damaged from the storm. Was expecting the tent by the pond to have been obliterated but when we made our trek back after the storm subsided it was standing completely intact. Spent the rest of the night by the fire and in the morning enjoyed a cool breeze that came through that helped dry stuff out before packing up and heading out. Highly recommend and would stay again.

First off, this place is magical. Gorgeous blueberry farm that at dawn is a symphony of birds and dusk is covered with fireflies. We camped up by the sugar shack only because of threatening rain. We ended up exploring the near by river and Glendale Falls. If you are looking for peaceful offline experience I would highly recommend camping here.

Lovely, private, spacious site. Campsite was clean, the grass was cut, and the lattes and sourdough delivery in the morning made the trip memorable and delicious! Do not count on trees for hammocking and be aware of poison ivy.

We had a great stay at Blubbery Orchard. The site was clean, quiet, and offered plenty of privacy. We also ordered the sourdough from John, which was excellent. Definitely worth adding to your booking. Would recommend.

He is quite possibly the nicest host we have encountered in our Hipcamp journey. John was so kind and understanding. His communication is also top notch.

This stay was amazing! John was a great host! His communication and responsiveness were excellent. The camping spot is great, right by the pond. There is a walk to the campsite; we brought a wagon to help get equipment from the car to the site. There are also a lot of hiking trails near by. We had a good amount of rain on our trip but we had an awesome time and will definitely be back.

The very best thing about our night here was the loaf of fresh sourdough bread we preordered. Delicious!! Exceptional flavor and texture. The site was great too. Very private, level enough we didn’t need leveling blocks for our van. Beautiful spot.

We loved camping on John's unique property! It is situated at the end of an unpaved road but we had no problem with our 24' motorhome and tow vehicle. We unhooked the tow and maneuvered into a fairly level spot adjacent to the fire pit. We enjoyed a very private and peaceful evening and the fall foliage was gorgeous! Thank you John

This oasis offers everything we were looking for in a remote off the grid spot, which is our favorite kind of camping. Ultimate privacy and beautiful location. It was easy to find and offered ample space to park our truck and camper, set out chairs, set up a table, pull out our awning, and then some. It was a pleasure to stroll the property and served as a great location to visit the surrounding area or just sit back and relax! I loved listening to the barred owl that visited the area each night.

We had the greatest time with our two young kids and dog at this site. We enjoyed hunting for blueberries and walking around the pond…we spotted turtles and even a porcupine! The spot we found to set up camp was very close to level and perfectly shady. It was so quiet and serene. We highly recommend opting for John’s sourdough and fresh eggs which really added to the experience. The loaf was still warm when we arrived! Amazing star gazing too …it was best and we would love to come back!

came at the beginning of august - this is a beautiful secluded spot with the sweet smell of fermenting blueberries all around. we tried John’s sourdough & the local honey combo based on previous reviews & we did not regret it! lots of great hiking in the area, highly recommend the keystone arches for some good swim spots :)

Absolute serenity at the Blueberry orchard. Total peace and quiet off the beaten path where all you hear is bird song and the breeze in the trees. The camp is clean, cozy, and offers plenty of shade for an afternoon nap! We added the sourdough loaf and jar of honey, we recommend you do as well because it is out of this world. You are a short drive to a cute town and wonderful diner Carms. Parking a camper along the stone wall proved to be very level almost as flat as a graded pad. We can't recommend enough and we will be back!

Blueberry Orchard By The Pond
This was by far one of my favorite Hip Camps to date. If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is it. I had rainy weather so my regular hikes were canceled, but there are so many paths and rural roads to walk on in the woods around there. It was so nice to just be able to walk in the woods , right from where I was camping. The host brought warm, freshly made sourdough bread just as I finished my set up. Delicious! It made great breakfast sandwiches all week with his chickens eggs. Great add ons. I got the honey for my friend and she absolutely loved it. Great communication. Cell service is iffy, which I enjoy- I was able to walk to the end of the road to pick up my messages and texts, along with looking up what the weather was going to do. The spot where you camp with a RV is close to the road, but I think I saw three cars the whole week I was there and the rocks and trees pretty much keep you private. I am very sensitive to noise, and this place really fit the bill for being quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s blueberry Orchard. Incredibly private and quaint. The campsite is tucked back into the woods away from the road by the little pond and the Orchard and Sugar shack created a very sweet and romantic atmosphere. John was incredibly kind and responsive to messages and the coffee, honey, and sourdough bread or to die for. Absolutely no trouble with wildlife whatsoever. With 100% stay here again.

Beautiful property with a lovely little pond and fire pit next to it. A trillion stars in the sky at night. I even saw a deer as I entered the property. Very kind owner and he is very responsive to messages. Highly recommended.
