Welcome to Worth the Weight Farm, II. This 40 acre property is on the Kennebec River in North Anson, Maine. Come watch the eagles fish and the wildlife wander through your camp site. Join us for a getaway where you can to swim, fish, kayak, or use the trail system (ITS 84) all from one convenient location. Solon, five miles up the trail/road, hosts a small grocery store, restaurant, and is a put-in site for floating down the river to Worth the Weight Farm or the boat launch just south of this location. If you prefer other activities, nearby is Sugarloaf, endless hiking trails, Diadema Golf Course, Northstar Orchards, and Lakewood Theater. The towns of Madison and Skowhegan are all within a few minutes drive for shopping and activities.

Site I - Woods Location

Site I is nestled into the woods just over the foot bridge crossing the small stream. This site can accommodate several tents but is not accessible by motor vehicle. Guests will have access to the common area by the river that includes a fire pit, screen house, and dock. The river is fast moving but shallow and boasts good fishing and eagle watching. A small trek up Solon Road enables an easy float down to this location. Amenities are nearby and accessible by the ITS trail if you want to use your ATV/UTV. We provide a porta potty for camper use as well as wood for the fire pit if you don't bring you own or run out. Ample parking for additional vehicles is by the wood pile on the landing.

Site II is nestled next to the flowing river and is directly behind the common area where campers access the river down the banking. This site can accommodate a small camper or RV or multiple tents. Guests will have access to the common area adjacent to this site that includes a fire pit, screen house, and dock. The river is fast moving but shallow and boasts good fishing and eagle watching. A small trek up Solon Road enables an easy float down to this location. Amenities are nearby and accessible by the ITS trail if you want to use your ATV/UTV. We provide a porta potty for camper use as well as wood for the fire pit if you don't bring you own or run out. Ample parking for additional vehicles is by the wood pile on the landing. Both sites share a port-a-potty located between the two sites.

Secluded yet within 10 minutes to town! I stayed at site #2 with my dog and loved being right on the Kennebec River! The site and surrounding areas were very clean and I can’t wait to camp here again!
