Raising our food and building community here in Midcoast Maine.We are a working small farm and homestead in Mid-Coast Maine, a half mile from the ocean. The focus here at Full Plate Farm is on raising our own food using permaculture and biodynamic principles. The Hazelbrook Cabin is as cozy as it comes with a wood burning stove, small kitchen area (stove, oven, mini-fridge) and queen sized mattress. We welcome guests to explore the gardens, gather herbs for your morning omelette (free range, organic eggs provided) greet the goats, chickens and pigs or just put your feet up in the hammock and relax. There is a beautiful nature preserve, LaVerna within walking distance from our farm, offering picturesque bold coast trails and open ocean views with numerous picnic spots to choose from. The Pemaquid peninsula, where we call home, has many lovely hikes, coves and beaches to explore whether by foot or kayak. We are 5 minutes from The Hardy Boat that can ferry you back in time to the artist’s and birdwatcher’s haven of Monhegan Island for a fun day trip or Puffin cruise. With farmers’ markets on Mondays and Fridays for seasonal produce and 3 lobster pounds to choose from within a 5-minute drive of the cabin you could attempt at growing tired of eating Maine lobsters. Absolutely beautiful little cabin. Hazel was supremely friendly and we felt very safe and welcome. What a nice spot to visit in a gorgeous area. Will definitely be coming back!

Magical!
The environment is magical! You forget all of your cares and worries! This carefully planned cabin is unlike anything that I have experienced before! Sunsets with the goats, the bed is so comfy, the firepit is perfect and Hazel and Michael are incredible hosts!

Hazelbrook Cabin at Full Plate Farm
This is my second year visiting the cabin with my partner and we still have the same awe and appreciation for the place. It’s located in a coastal/farmy area that offers so much exploring and entertainment. The cabin is quaint and cozy with everything you’d need. It’s a sweet escape from the city - Hazel and Michael have done a wonderful job with making it a unique and comfortable stay. I was looking forward to the complimentary chicken eggs and outdoor shower!

Comfortable stay
I loved my stay at the cabin. It was a combination of rustic and creative comfort with the relaxed vibe of being on a farm. Lots of attention to detail by Hazeln& Michael to ensure my stay was enjoyable. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Fabulous getaway! Will return!
This was a perfect getaway for us. Wonderful hosts, beautiful accommodations. Hazel has thought of every detail. We want to make this trip to Hazel and Michael's an annual event. It was very hard to leave this morning. My first Hipcamp experience and it far exceeded my expectations.

Such welcoming hosts with attention to all the small details for the best of stays. A truly beautiful and peaceful place to spend time. I highly recommend staying at Hazelbrook cabin if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity.
