I enjoyed this site a lot. There are a bunch of campsites in an open area, but no one else was there this time around, so it was private for me. I slept by the stream and enjoyed the sounds of the water. The worst part about this site was the flies at dusk. There were a lot of them. I was enchanted by the farm animals. There was a bunny and chickens and a group of ducks that followed me around.

Host was great; went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Site was perfect size; right along the stream! Porter potty was available for use as well as firewood to purchase. Our dogs loved every minute of it! Definitely planning another trip here this summer, can’t wait to go swimming!!

The area was quiet, we were the only ones there, we tented, there was an outhouse on site. The only negative thing was that the site number was not present when I reached out about it, she said setup anywhere, so we did and had a great time.

Unfortunately, this was a very big disappointment. Upon arriving at the address we were given, no one was there to greet us or tell us where to go despite us waiting for over an hour. The directions stated someone would be there on arrival so we waited. Nobody showed up and the directions were extremely unclear as to where to go or where to park or where to set up our tents. There were no markers or signs anywhere. We drove around the entire property looking for someone or a place that would look like a campsite. We ended up just sitting in front of a dilapidated old house hoping someone would come to tell us where to go. Despite several text messages, an email, and a phone call nobody came, it was clear nobody and there was the house no indication that there were any campsites. We ended up leaving after over an hour of waiting and drove back home. We did hear from the owner later in the day who did apologize and issued us a refund that I had requested. She mentioned that her father was the caretaker and he had decided to go to the store although the check-in time was clearly indicated at 2:00 p.m. We are avid hikers, tent campers and seasoned users of hipcamp. I hate writing a disappointing review but reviews are what I always base my trips on and I don't want anyone else to have to go through what we went through. The travel time, the money spent on supplies, organization around work and child care Etc and we had to turn around and come home. I definitely don't recommend.

Nice convenient location for York beaches. Owner was nice & is making all sorts of improvements to the property. Trains do pass through during the night, but didn’t bother us. Would definitely stay again!

I loved camping in my Coleman on the land. It was quiet and peaceful. There was lots of open space for my daughter and dogs to run. The views and trails were beautiful. Owners were very responsive to needs / requests. Lovely spot early in the season. Would recommend!

This was a very open site. Host was very personable and friendly. We arrived in the rain and were offered accommodations. We ended up just finding a nice flat spot and had a nice camp stay. Quiet besides the occasional train which is very near, spacious, private, and one of the first sites of our roadtrip to also have cell service so that was a plus to have for emergencies!

Simple accommodations… we parked in our camper van in a spot in the field, which was all we needed. A quick one night stay 20 minutes from Ogunquit. Would do it again!

The host met me when I arrived and was very friendly, offering the freedom to set up my tent wherever I liked. He also let me now the hours that a bathroom in the house would be available. The downside is that the property is located between a state highway and a railroad track. Which results in a quite a bit of noise throughout the night. When I tried to use the bathroom in the morning, the door was locked (well after the time he said it would be available).

It was great to get to a quiet, peaceful, dark place after the hustle and bustle of the beach. We appreciated being able to let our dogs be untied some. The hosts generously have a toilet in the house they let us use. Thank you

Great property and friendly hosts welcomed us as we rounded the bend to our Primitive Escape. It was a quick overnight for us, but we plan to return and really experience the open space. Opting for the field over the water, we look forward to camping along the stream on a future visit. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing the property’s vision develop.
