I loved this place it was very comfortable I happen to have all 36 acres to myself but I parked up by the outhouse the family was very welcoming and the dogs were very friendly. I enjoyed my evening there and if I'm in the area I will go back

A great place to tent camp with our son. Nice and quiet, easy to get to, stocked fishing pond, large clean porta-potty, firewood for sale delivered to our site … it was just perfect! Plenty of space to set up tents away from others if you’d like more seclusion. Nice little creek on the property as well. Very friendly hosts and farm dogs!

Beautiful pastures on the farm. Nice sunsets and sunrises. Hosts are very nice.
Dogs on the farm are all friendly.
We had our 8 foot popup camper up top by the main fire ring and the barn.
Only stayed one night just passing through but did have time to wander the property in the morning.

Bourbon Trail Campground is a beautiful property and is very close to some of the bourbon distilleries. The owners kept to themselves and I only saw them during check in. It's important to know that this is not a typical campground - there is no bathhouse or store or tent pads, etc... It's someone's property with several areas set up for camping (mowed and with fire rings). It feels isolated, except you can hear the interstate at night. But it's a beautiful property. One small irritant - there is a dog (owners or neighbors) that came by a little after midnight and stood outside my tent and barked for about 30 minutes. Tried to shoo him away, but he enjoyed standing and barking. So be aware of that. Other than that, I'd return.

Gloria and Snoop, her well-behaved and adorable doggo, were very welcoming! We needed a place to set up our pop-up camper for the night and she was more than happy to accommodate us on short notice. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset and sunrise and a lovely evening walk along the property before we had to get back on the road. She had firewood for sale and an available fire pit with a great view. The porta-potty was large and very clean, the posted cleaning schedule showed it was routinely maintained.
It was a great first hipcamp experience!

This was a beautiful property. Very simple. A vast field of rolling hills, wildflowers, cacti, a serene pond, very friendly dogs, and beautiful night time stars. The hosts were very welcoming and inviting. It was just the getaway we needed to rest, relax and rejuvenate.

Absolutely beautiful property. Super helpful and kind hosts. It actually poured rain during our stay and they reached out to let us know they had shelter for us if need be, and just made sure we were ok in general.

Using the coordinates provided if was pretty easy to get to the campground. Very clean and well maintained. Only issue we had was that we had a low profile vehicle so we couldn’t drive to the campsite because the grass was wet from rain and our car didn’t like driving up the hill. Too slick. We kind of created our own campsite at the top of the hill. Otherwise we would have had to walk in to the camp site.

Loved our stay! We picked a beautifully mowed spot with a small fire ring overlooking very pretty tall grasses filled with fireflies and flowers on a slight hill that looked down at the edge of the woods. It felt like the perfect summer night out camping!

Bourbon Trail Camping is hands down one of the best Hipcamps I have ever visited — and I have camped at over 150 different properties. Denise and Matt's property is outstanding. They have put so much thought and care into the camping areas — ensuring privacy, incredible views, and different levels of access depending on how far or close you'd like to remain to the amenities (very clean and spacious outhouse)
I can't wait to return and camp here again next I find myself in Kentucky along the bourbon trail. Thank you again Denise and Matt for hosting us, being so kind, and so understanding.

Some friends and I were cycling through Kentucky, and Gloria's land was the perfect spot for the end of a long day. Tranquil and plenty of space. The hosts were super friendly and communicated with us every step of the way. Loved this place and would gladly recommend it to anyone!

We booked last minute and the host Gloria “Denise” was quick to respond to questions. Both she and her dogs were super friendly and welcoming when we got there. Camping is in a beautiful field with a creek at the bottom of the hill and a fire pit. Camping is spaced far enough from other campers that you feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. There is one port-a-potty at the entrance to the camping area. It was oversized and super clean inside. Our stay was only one night for a concert in Lexington. The drive to Rupp Arena and back was easy from this location. We will definitely be back!
