We loved our stay, so peaceful and comfortable. Our hosts made us feel at home at at ease, with a nice table and chairs, sit table, fire pit, wood, and a fire extinguisher! As two young women we felt really safe.

This place is tucked into the back of their land and is lovely. Clean beds and bedding, and friendly owners! The electrical lamp and outlets were a welcome surprise. Beautiful flower farm.

We loved camping at the Grumpy Chicken Farm! We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the space and the environment. The camp site is spacious, and we had it all to ourselves. Renee's dogs Lily and Fin were very friendly and would greet us every time we returned to the camp, and our dogs enjoyed socializing with them. It was very convenient to have access to fresh water to fill up the trailer when we arrived so we didn't have to drag water with us, and access to electricity allowed us to keep the batteries charged. The flowers on the farm were amazing, and I really enjoyed walking between rows of zinnias and dahlias and looking at all the amazing colors. Wild turkeys and deer both wandered through our campsite - that was amazing. Renee was super helpful with any questions we had. We hope to stay there again on our next trip to the area.

Peaceful privacy (+ dogs 😉)…
I loved this so much! The space was so private and the tent was clean and perfect! It was such a great getaway for the night, and we felt like we were in our own little world. The flowers were beautiful and we enjoyed walking amongst them. Their dogs do come to your campsite, & definitely come if they smell cooking, so be prepared if you’re not a dog person. They are sweet, & we enjoyed them being around.

Such a fun stay at Renee’s property! She was so kind to let us pick some gorgeous flowers as well, and even gave us some baked goodies leftover from an event that day. We had a peaceful sleep in the glamping tent. It was wonderful!

The site was great and private. The setup was great for 2 people. We had 4 people and brought an extra tent and a couple extra chairs. A picnic table would be a nice addition to the site. It was perfect for being close to Sandpoint. Everything was very clean. They were super accommodating- allowed us to park a kayak trailer, gave us pointers where to go and let us have a lighter when we realized we forgot our own. They had 2 friendly dogs who wanted to say hi to ours but unfortunately our dog didn’t like one of their dogs but they did a great job keeping her closer to their house after that.

The spot was beautiful and private and out in the quiet, lovely countryside. Deer were everywhere in the fields! I'm sure when the flowers on the farm are in bloom, it's absolutely magical. Renee and her husband were so helpful and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this spot and hope to come again someday! PS: the two dogs were ADORABLE.

Such a great spot with amazing hosts! The campspot is quite private and tucked away. Nicely mowed grassy area with a firepit, table and chairs. The pups on the property are friendly and don't jump. Cute old dogs.
I even had a chance to play with some plants and help Renee out a bit.
I'd recommend staying for sure.

We had a nice time staying at Rees’s place. Flower are so beautiful. We stay one night and we love the privacy and the hostility of the place. I definitely recommend this place, and hope to visit it next time I’m in town. We really love the area and they have a beautiful place.

The camp spot at Grumpy RV & Camp was great and worked perfect for this trip! We were exploring the surrounding area so it was perfect for that. Felt very private but if we needed anything the owners were helpful! We had to hit the road early on checkout day but Renee offered for me to still pick some flowers, sadly we didn’t have time. But that was so sweet of her!

We love the large camping area and how close it was to Sandpoint! Renee and her husband were super friendly and welcoming. Worked with us when, due to wildfires, we got smoked out with our children. Planning on going back either this fall or early next summer!

what a slice of heaven! grumpy chicken farm is a place where we're gonna keep coming back to. even with a smoky weekend, we had such a great time. both Duane and Renee were such a welcoming and great hosts and made us feel so welcomed. really love the little details they've put into it to make it cozy and comfortable. really close to town and easy directions.

Renee was a great host. Just what we needed. The space was clean, luscious and green and peaceful. We enjoyed visits by her 2 farm dogs and the peace of her property. 2 teen beds were comfortable and warm.

Grumpy Chicken was one of the loveliest stops on our cross country rv trip. Our spot was nestled amongst the trees with a campfire pit and wood. Access to electric and water was a huge bonus. I peeked at the glamping tent and it was absolutely darling. The flower farm is magical, and it made my day to wander through- Renee even let me cut a bouquet. Highly recommend this spot. If you are passing through north Idaho- stay here! You will be delighted!

Renée was lovely and was an exceptional host. The flower farm is so beautiful and an ideal place to spend time.
The website did not book what I thought I was booking….. so I would suggest contacting her directly to make sure you are getting the site you think you aspire to have. This makes a difference when one site has glamping and the other is a regular camp site 🤣

Magical Retreat!
Magical! The glamping tent has comfy beds, a loveseat, and power ran to it. There is a large hammock and chairs with side tables outside. they provided plenty of firewood. The tent area is very private and feels like it's deep in the woods. I've never felt so safe camping anywhere before!!!. They spray for bugs, so there wasn't a bug issue, and I saw only one mosquito the whole time. It does get extremely chilly at night, so pack warm jammies. The owners dogs are extremely friendly and will come hang out with you. The larger dogs were sweet and loving to our small Jack Russel terrier. We were able to pick fresh flower bouquets for a deal! The portapotty and water spigot are about 100 yards from the camp near the barn so bring a water container to be able to keep water at your campsite. We look forward to visiting again. This is definitely a nice retreat!

We enjoyed our stay here so much! Would highly recommend and will definitely keep in mind for future adventures near Sandpoint. The hosts were very friendly and you could just tell the entire farm in every detail was a deep labor of love. The camp site itself is a grassy area tucked in a little clearing of trees. We loved that it had both morning and evening shade and also sunny patches to relax in. It was surprisingly private but also very accessible. It even had a little patch cleared for the tent and a table and chairs near the fire pit. We loved that there were two trees close enough for our hammock too. Oh, and amazing views of the stars! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Renee's campsite was great! The area was secluded, private, shady, and was easy for our truck camper. There were some chairs and a small cafe table, as well as a fire pit with some wood. Also, an electrical hookup which was nice. The flower farm was beautiful and she let us walk around the sunflowers and check things out. We would definitely recommend it for a quick pit stop!
