Wild Plumas offers six glamping sites on our family's private 50-acre property at the base of the Sierra Nevada. Rent one glamping site, or the whole property for a larger event like a reunion, retreat, or small wedding! The camps are completely private (each one has 3+ acres) and offer a large canvas tent, comfortable bed/bedding, outdoor kitchen area, hot showers, and more (check the listings for details). We also have one year-round cabin, and tent sites during the summer. We are located one hour from the Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park, and minutes from swimming holes, lakes, and a million acres of National Forest- or simply stay at the property and enjoy the on-site hiking trails, free loaner bikes, treehouse, zip line, and kid's ninja warrior course. The campsites are also just a few steps from swimming holes along the creek that runs throughout. Pets are welcome in our tent sites only. Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away) and you may incur brief driving delays on your way here. When you arrive at Wild Plumas- an oasis of green within the black- you will see what a miracle it is that we survived! We thank you for your patience and for your support of our small business during this time. Be sure to visit Greenville's new pop-up downtown with food trucks, a thrift store, and an outdoor bar. Wild Plumas consists of six sites total, each with their own personality. Each site accommodates between two-four people and additional adults are $10/night. There is no charge for children. Site #1, The Wild Rose Bell Tent. This is our most popular site. Includes two queen beds, and all bedding, inside the 20' diameter glamping tent (plenty of room for extra tents outside). Outdoors is a large covered kitchen area and picnic table, BBQ, propane firepit (propane provided), and an on-demand hot water shower, treehouse, and zip line. This site is easy to get to and is the best for larger groups, and it offers wonderful views of the property meadows and Sierra Nevada Mountains. It's a five-minute walk to the creek and private swimming hole. Site #2: This Wolf Creek Adventure Site. The Wolf Creek site overlooks the creek and offers a bell tent (with a queen-size bed and bedding plus a small pull-out couch), picnic table, BBQ, propane firepit (propane provided), and beach. If you are traveling with very small children, or adults with physical limitations, we recommend Site #1 (Wild Rose Bell Tent) over the Wolf Creek Creek Camp, as the creek camp is more difficult to access (up a flight of stairs). This site has incredible views of the creek and Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Site #3: The Sugar Pine Bluff: The most private camp we offer. This site consists of a 20' glamping tent with spectacular views of the mountains and creek. Inside are two queen sized beds (and all bedding), outside is a picnic table, propane fire pit (five pounds of propane is provided (i.e. about five hours of fire time, with more propane available for purchase with the camp hosts), BBQ, and porta potty (potties are cleaned between guests but only completely emptied on Tuesdays. If you would like a brand new toilet we can arrange that for an additional fee- please note that the walk to the porta-potty at this site is a 5-minute walk and down a steep staircase). A short walk away (at the owner's cabin) is an on-demand (hot) outdoor shower that you are welcome to use. It is a 30-second walk to the creek and your private swimming hole. NOTE: This site is up on a bluff and requires a short walk up steep stairs from the car. There is also a large dropoff to the creek, so not recommended for families with toddlers. Site #4: The Lost Sierra Camp, our largest and most accessible camp. This is a very large flat site similar to the Wild Rose, with big trees and soft grassy areas, plus a fantastic view of the mountains. This site offers a queen-sized bed, small pull-out couch, picnic table, propane firepit, a private hot outdoor shower, and plenty of room for bigger tents. Easy pull-right-up parking. Site #5: The Cottonwood Grove, large, flat, and with pull-right-up access. This is a very large flat site similar to the Wild Rose and Lost Sierra, with big trees and soft grassy areas, plus a fantastic view of the mountains. This site offers a queen-sized bed, picnic table, propane firepit, private hot outdoor shower (a 5-min walk away), and plenty of room for bigger tents. Site #6: The Gypsy Wagon on the creek. Totally private tiny house on wheels with a Queen-sized bed, small living space, and outdoor propane firepit. Located just a few steps to the creek and private beach, and the furthest away from any other glamping site. All sites have unlimited drinking water (the Wild Rose and the Lost Sierra Camp have their own spigot, the Creek and Bluff camps have water delivered), and none of the sites have electricity, wifi, or hook-ups (cell phone coverage is good). All sites are extremely private. Not sure your plans? We get it! If you need to postpone your reservation, we allow✨no-fee✨re-booking (with at least a 7-day notice of your reservation).

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
Shabbin’ cabin was fabulous!
The new Shabbin’ cabin was absolutely beautiful! They made it so comfortable, cute & cozy! We had stayed in their Wild Rose glamping site before and were so anxious to visit this cabin. It actually was even better than what we expected. The inside was just perfect, great small wood-burning place, that was the perfect size which kept the cabin nice & toasty. The seating inside gave us great spots to take a load off after days of exploring around the property and the surrounding areas. So much to see within the area so coming back to the cabin is such a treat! Also, the outdoor cooking area and amenities are great for camping life. You truly are able to have a ‘glamping’ experience while experiencing the beautiful outdoors. Being nestled in the woods of Wild Plumas is such a special treat and we can’t wait to return in the Spring!

The Shabby Cabin (Shabbin)
The Shabbin was the perfect destination for a trip away even now that it is winter. The wood fire place kept us warm as well as set the coziest mood! The cabin was clean and there were plenty of extra blankets provided. The interior wood paneling is impressive and gorgeous. Wild Plumas has been our go-to to get outside and unplug. Such a hidden gem!

The Wild Rose: Site #1
Autumn camping at Wild Plumas
Everything about campsite #1 was great! The tent was spacious and the beds were comfy- a perfect place to be in the autumn. The kitchen area was user-friendly and used a great deal. My family and I enjoyed walking around the campgrounds and the game tent was popular with our 10 year old. There was enough fun things to do around the camp to keep everyone busy. I would definitely recommend Wild Plumas!

The Wild Rose: Site #1
Perfect Spot
We really enjoyed our stay in the Wild Rose Camp Site at Wild Plumas. This was the 2nd time we have stayed in this location and our family has decided to make it an annual trip. The tent and bedding are wonderful! The hosts are incredibly nice people! The little creek that runs through the property is perfect! It rained one day while we were there, but with the covered kitchen area in the Wild Rose Site, nothing got wet. As a matter of fact, sitting next to the propane fire pit, listening to the rain on the tin roof of the structure, and sipping hot coco, made the weekend even more special! Thank you, Josie, for the tip on where the fish were biting! Both of my grandsons caught a couple fish that morning! We will see you again next year! Demeris

Cottonwood Tent Camping
Really enjoyed our time here. My partner and I stayed sun-wed with the intention of just chilling by the creek. I think being there during the weekday was a great choice because we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The campsites are far enough away to feel some privacy but not necessarily total seclusion. But wow, 2 full last days but that gorgeous little creek was exactly what we needed, enjoying the meteor shower at night was so lovely. The glamping site was just as pictured, comfy bed. Would definitely rebook
