Great private spot. Would recommend to anyone that wants to be near the entrance to Joshua Tree national park. Everything was very clean and tidy. Lisa was very accommodating and informative and we booked two hours ahead of time trouble free. Would recommend and would book again if in the area.

Lisa’s campground was great! Off the beaten path so it was very private. We were the only ones on the grounds at the time but the entire campground was fenced in so we felt secure. Has a few buildings on the property to explore so it was fun to walk around. Would absolutely stay again!

Had a great time at the campsite! The stars at night were beautiful as well. Lisa was a great host and kept us informed on weather and any things we may need. Will definitely visit again.

The directions to find the campsite were difficult to follow but the host was available by phone to help us find the place. It was clean, quiet and felt secure. The only amenity was a portapotty - no electricity or water which was fine for us because we were prepared for that. We were able to have our dogs which was very important for us.

My husband and I booked last minute and Lisa was super accommodating! The instructions to get to the property were clear and it was very close to the entrance to Joshua Tree. The road to the property (and the property itself) was a bit sandy which is to be expected and is only a challenge if you're riding motorcycles like we were. Overall, the area is quiet and clean -- very well maintained. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

This was a perfect place for my first solo road trip sleeping out of my car. Stayed two nights. I felt safe. It was off the main road but not too far. It was gated. The views were wonderful. The lot was clean and easily accessible.

Site extra, très paisible et vraiment sécuritaire, en même temps près de la route principale. Facile d’accès en autant que les indications soient bien claires et que l’hôtesse reste disponible…nous avons passé une heure trente à chercher l’endroit! Une fois rejointe, Lisa s’est montrée très patiente et compréhensive.

We booked last minute and Lisa gave us thorough instructions on how to find the place. It is plot of land in a sparse area on dirt roads. The gate was locked which we did not expect. The other campers on the site were helpful and let us in. The port a potty was clean, and the sunset was beautiful. It is a very basic spot for tent camping, and did suit our needs for the evening.

Positives: Good location, easy to find, nice open space, clean Porta-potty. Host is responsive, easy in and easy out, non-potable water if you need it.
Negatives: If you have kids just have to keep an eye on them - space is enclosed with barbed wire, there are small jumping cholla cactus which are easy to run into in the dark, there is a significant amount of broken glass - both large and small pieces - scattered all over the property and there are open holes dug in the dirt.
Also, with a no-rules campground, you could have loud neighbors sharing the campground who blast music and run generators all night and day.

I loved staying here. It is a bit of land off a dirt road, gorgeous desert. There were plenty of flat spots for tents. It was quiet and I had the place to myself. Lisa the owner checked in with me and answered all my questions. She was really nice.

Easy to get to from Joshua Tree National Park! Fenced off land so felt private and other campers could have their own space. Exactly what we were looking for and it was a great stay.

Stayed here in the yurt, and it was just a dream! We were is blissful isolation in the desert and the views were gorgeous. Location is just out of Joshua Tree city and the dirt road was easy to traverse. The on-site portapotty was clean and convenient.

Lisa was very helpful and even left a ton of wood for a fire! Plenty of room and we didn't even notice the other people staying on the property.
Note that we brought our own trail or, so just reviewing the property. Also note that the last mile or so is on dirt road that can get washed out pretty bad, so be careful!

This spot was very nice, especially in a pinch. JTree was super packed and my group couldn’t find any campsites in the park. At the last moment, I booked with Lisa. She was super communicative and accommodating. The porta potty was nice and clean, the campsite was easy to find, and it was easy to get to the park the next day. Would definitely recommend highly, especially over trying to camp in blm land.

Great atmosphere. The earth dwelling was sparse but cozy enough in the November evenings. It’s amazing to watch the lines of cars below as the stars shine overhead. We were able to use the campfire since it wasn’t too windy.

Great place to stay in Joshua Tree! Everything you need for a night out in the desert. Clean toilet and shelter if needed to get out of the elements. Lisa was very responsive and helpful on how to get out there. Be sure to bring plenty of water for drinking & cooking! We had a great time at this place and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay out in Joshua Tree!

An excellent camp spot! Perfectly located near the entrance to the park, as well as all the town amenities so you can get the best of both worlds. It's also secluded enough you don't feel like you have neighbors or other campers on top of you. The site was plenty big enough for our large group plus dogs. The host, Lisa, was extremely helpful and accommodating, with excellent communication throughout. The fire pit was much appreciated, as well as the attention to safety with plenty of water jugs stored near the pit to douse the fire. The bathrooms were spotless, as was the earthbag home and the entire property. We'll gladly stay again!

Lisa was a very responsive host who gave clear instructions on how to get there! Our group had a great time tent camping as well as staying in the Earth House. The night sky was incredibly dark and we saw a lot of meteors during our stay. Can’t wait to see the new cabin once it is finished!

This is an excellent option if you want some protection from the elements, but still want to be out in nature. It was very windy and rainy the night we stayed, and we were still comfortable and warm in our sleeping bags. The views in the morning, after the storm cleared, were spectacular. Open deserts and mountains in every direction. I liked how the entire property is gated and bordered by a barbed wire fence, for an extra measure of safety, when you are farther away from civilization. There were many unique plants to enjoy just walking the property as well. Some projects were still underway, but you can tell the owners have great vision for the site.
