I love the area and camp site 3 by the creek. It was very private and the camp host was friendly and great to talk too. Great base camp to go explore the surrounding areas. We will definitely be back.

Great spot in a convenient location

Easy to access right off the highway, yet quiet and peaceful. A friend of mine and I came up in our two vehicles for three days of fishing the Feather River, and really enjoyed our quiet spot along the creek (#3). There are lots of camp spots and most are tucked away in the trees. We got lucky in that all three creekside camp spots were empty, so we had that "leg" all to ourselves - if other campers had been there we'd have needed to drive through/past their sites to get to ours. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful prior to our arrival with answering questions and accommodating our need for a spot for two vehicles (mine with a small trailer). We never used the shower (daytime temps were in the low 40's) but it looked like a good setup with a privacy wall built around each shower and concrete flooring (no roof). The porta-pottie was well maintained and in fact got emptied while we were there). The property is on a slight grade but the camp sites have been scraped so that they have a level area - some sites just enough for a large tent; our site accommodated a Jeep, a Sprinter van, and a trailer with a roof top tent. The little creek was flowing enough in late October to give us a pleasant background sound (when it wasn't raining!). Overall this was a perfect spot for us to stay while fishing the Feather River and very convenient to access. Just note that Apple Maps has the location wrong - make sure yo use Google Maps or Waze to find it.

The view across the valley was beautiful. Outdoor shower had hot water on a tankless water heater. Trees provided shelter from the wind. Site 1-4 had good sunlight which helped with my solar panels. Bathroom was a portapotty but was very clean. Overall campsite had everything I needed with the added benefit of being next door to a brewery and mountain bike destination Everstoke. Will be back.

Site #2 Premium creek site

Overall we still had a really great experience at this site, but there were a few things that give us pause in booking again. The location is beautiful and being right next to the Brewing Lair is clutch. The hosts were also very helpful, but but not too hands on. The things that gave us pause were that our site had a TON of yellowjackets, this made it hard to enjoy food and drinks and meant we were constantly watching our pup to make sure she didn't eat one as it landed it in her food or water dish. The second thing is that there was what was clearly dog poop all over the property...near the portapotties, near our site, etc. Several of the dogs were off leash so I assume it's from them and it was easy enough to pick up and toss...but it was a bummer.

Site T~7 Preset up w queen mattress

We want to thank Burke for being such a welcoming host on his beautiful campground. If we had more time we would have stayed for days. We chose the site that already had a tent set up for us with a double mattress as we were coming in for a long drive and it was very comfortable and located on a slightly more secluded spot among the trees. We highly recommend this campground.

Camp Shady Meadow was a perfect location near Graegle and the beautiful Sierra Buttes area. Easy to get to, quiet, not crowded and Burke & Bonnie were very friendly and helpful hosts. Close drive to get to trail heads in the Lake Basin area, tons of great hiking!

We were pretty disappointed in our site. It was very dusty and not well defined. There were porta potty’s but one morning all of the toilet paper was gone. Additionally there was not a table at the campsite either. I think the location is fantastic and the place has promise, but needs some more amenities at each site.

Wife and I had a peaceful weekend stop in one of the glamping tents. Site was quiet and having a real bed and hot shower after long days of mountainbiking was awesome. A bonus was the Brewing Lair within walking distance! Beer and music in forest...can't beat that!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the campground. We reserved a preset tent unknowingly and Burke happily let us take a tent campsite for us to set up our own instead. He has plenty of wood readily available and takes cash or card. There are plenty of stores and shops in graeagle for ice and any other items you may need. We found so many holes in the Plumas national forest and had the best hike about a 12 min drive from the campsite. I can definitely see us coming back here and staying another weekend. It’s so quiet and peaceful and not near an other campsites. Total serenity and peace

We ended up staying in a different site a little more secluded, and it was amazing. We felt very safe and the shower and toilets were very clean. The site was also very close to the town which made it convenient to grab groceries or swim in the lake. We would definitely come again!

The glamping tent was beautiful and well cared for. I would definitely stay again. The bed was comfortable. They supplied firewood, lantern, two chairs, and a citronella candle. Hosts are very nice and accommodating. My reservation got a little confusing, but they cleared up the error and upgraded me to the glamping tent without me even asking. However, I’m unsure if there is a first come first serve type of camping on the property for trailers. There were a lot of trailers congregated at the front of the camp and they were LOUD 2/4 nights I was there. The music was absurdly loud considering i was at the other end of the campground at site 4 and could hear “talking” and music clearly. This started 10pm-11pm at night. It was 4th of July weekend, but I still don’t find it ok. It did disturb my sleep and my child’s. I messaged the hosts about it and never received a response. I’ve never stayed anywhere with that loud of noise at a campground so late. I didn’t think there would be so many campers considering the amount of sites on the map which is why I’m curious why there were so many RVs at the entrance open lot area dry camping.

Great camp getaway! Right outside the town in Greagle so easy to find and well located for hikes/sites/emergency grocery trips for forgotten items. We ended up at site T1, a nice square area with plenty of room and trees for shade and privacy. Bonnie greeted us and was incredibly gracious. We had lots of questions setting up and she was kind and helpful each trip we made. The portable toilets were the cleanest I have ever seen one. And the $5 campfire wood was super easy and convenient to stock up each night.

Very quiet location. It had good shade and we think good amenities. Good location to explore the town, and many outdoor adventures. The host was not friendly or helpful or excited we were there. We had very little instruction or help to tour the complex. For $45, and no hookups or water, it was tough to justify the expense.
