Completely private and beautiful
This a place is amazing - you have a perfect PNW forest with big trees, huge moss covered nurse logs, ferns everywhere, and a little creek, all to yourself. It's far from the main road, the only sounds you will hear are the many types of birds and the flowing creek. Kids will have a great time splashing in the shallow water and looking at the fish and other animals. The only person we saw was a fish and wildlife scientist surveying the coho salmon fry in the creek, which was pretty cool. The only "negative" is that you must park at the top of a hill and walk down a short, winding, sometimes a bit steep, trail to the campsite. It makes loading things in and out a little challenging, but the host provides wagons and offered to help. My 11 yo and I have always been campground car-campers - we are used to that convenience so it was an adjustment, but being able to be completely alone in the forest was so, so worth it. Unless you have mobility issues, I think it will be fine. I recommend organizing your gear so you only bring down what you need at the campsite, bringing everything back up was the biggest challenge especially since I'm not in the best shape, but again completely worth it. It's also super close to grocery stores, gas stations, etc. about 15 min away, within 30 minutes you are basically in suburbia with major retailers and fast food, but once you get within 10 minutes of the site it somehow still feels like the middle of nowhere. 100% recommend.
