A great place to feel secluded but only 5-6 minutes from the town of Carnation and very private. Porta potty was immaculate (brand new?) Believe me, I've used multiple portable toilets overseas (middle east) that were maintained by the local contractors every four hours so I thought those were clean but this is better. The ground is a little bumpy. I didn't have any leveling blocks, but, for our truck camper on an F250 crew cab with 6.75 bed, I found the North-East corner 50 feet to the hiking trail entry didn't need any blocks. This spot was also in the clear of the trees to face North for our Starlink mini. T-mobile had 5G but buffering when the kids were watching their movies. So Starlink worked better for this. Overall, would be back here if in the area.

Had a great time tent camping at Jason's site, close to Carnation but still feel secluded. Site and porta potty were pristine. It was my dog's first time camping and she had a blast, she especially loved exploring the trail, felt like an overnight Sniffspot to her ;-)

such a great experience! jason’s site is so clean, well kept and private. for my dog who is reactive, it was so peaceful to have this privacy. we didn’t walk on the trail on the site but we did explore the town and trails connecting and it was so much fun! we already booked our next visit :)

This place is awesome! You’re not far from town for supplies but fully secluded. Plenty of open ground for games and then cool trails off into the woods. Great fire pit, clean porta potty. Jason was quick to reply and was extremely friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better host!

Sunlight Circle Campsite
Big, clean, private campsite. Its closer to the road than I thought it’d be but it’s a private residential road and there were only a handful of cars that were blocked by the trees. The location is quick and easy to get to from the city but still feels remote and private. It was a great spot for my dog. The nature trail is pretty and goes through dense fern covered forest. Only thing is I wish check-in time was a little bit earlier, at least in October, because I had to rush to set up camp before it got dark. Overall do recommend!

Sunlight Circle Campsite
The Sunlight Circle Campsite was the perfect spot, tucked away in Carnation, WA! The site was very clean, and the fire pit setup is large and a nice feature. Even though it was raining during our stay, it was lovely to camp in a quiet and serene spot, surrounded by a beautiful forest. We look forward to coming back in the future when we are able to see the stars and explore the trails!

Our second time here. It continues to be the best spot for us, our two pups (one being very very anxious) and our short school bus. A quick drive from Seattle, super private, and plenty of space to roam. Jason is great host and we look forward to coming back again in the fall.

What a gem!! It was just two of us but golly we could have had about 6 more people still with ample room. Very well maintained space, Carnation is an *adorable* town just minutes away, we had a PERFECT view of the Perseid meteor shower. We are totally coming back and bringing the gang next time! Definitely bring plenty of shade, it's a very sunny spot, the best shade was on the left (if you were standing at the mouth of the site looking in at it). So set up camp accordingly! Nearby Duvall has a great city park with a beach on the river that's awesome. And Jason is an immaculate host, welcoming and warm, he made sure we knew to reach out for anything we needed. Super accommodating for our arrival and departure. Genuinely warm and friendly people completely make this spot even sweeter. Enjoy!!

This is an excellent campsite, well maintained and close to town as a convenience. The site is flat and great for tents - we bike packed in - and the owners are on top everything which is great.

Absolutely beautiful spot, well maintained, clean and private. Very close to town in case you need anything but also felt secluded. The trails are dense and fun to explore. If you stay during the warmer months, make sure to have some sort of awning or canopy for shade because it gets hot and there is very little sun coverage during the day. The evenings are delightful and we had the best view of the night sky and moon as we went to sleep. Jason is a great host. No complaints at all!

We had the perfect little stay at Moonsmoke Woods. It was exceptionally quiet other than the beautiful chirping birds. Surrounded with gorgeous lush forest and ferns. A short distance from the pretty Main Street in Carnation and the show we were attending at Remlinger Farms. Jason was a great communicator and the site was exactly as described and depicted on HipCamp. We had a hard time leaving and look forward to our next visit in August. Highly Recommend 10/10

This spot checked all the boxes for us. For anyone with an anxious dog this place is so private, quiet and has plenty of space to roam without the fear of seeing other people/dogs. Super easy to find and a short drive to town if you forget any necessary items. Thanks again for having us and we look forward to coming back again.

Great place, quite and isolated besides a gravel road that seems to be pretty traveled on until later in the day that you can hear cars drive by. Host was great and communicated often. Location and campsite was really nice and easy to get setup on.

Sunlit Circle is a really lovely camp. The host, Jason, is an excellent communicator, the site is easy to find, feels very safe and secure, is extremely well maintained, and boasts a beautiful trail through the forest. Even during the coldest days of the winter so far, it was a peaceful and relaxing place to camp. There's nothing I'd change about Sunlit Circle, and I definitely look forward to returning!

The site was an easy to get to, having a nice pull through and a great space. The fire pit area provided an awesome view of the night sky, while the tree line offered protection from the winds. Overall we recommend the space and the greater area.

This campsite is absolutely lovely. It's extremely well maintained, very private, beautiful, and peaceful. Watching the sun set against the golden leaves was magical, and listening to the owls throughout the night was delightful. The host, Jason, is friendly and very quick to respond to messages. I enjoyed meeting him and talking about travel vans and rooftop tents. Just a note, Jason has a cabin on the property, but it's removed enough from the campsite that I could neither see nor hear him when he was there. There is a little road noise, and you can catch a glimpse of vehicles as they pass on the ridge above the property, but it was still very private and secluded. I liked that there is a locked gate to the property that provides a little extra security. I was only there for a night so I didn't get a chance to explore the trails, but I'm hoping to visit again and spend some time doing that. They look fabulous! The fire pit is awesome, and can easily accommodate a large group. I think this site would be ideal for a large family or a small group of friends. I highly recommend this campsite!
