This is an extremely quiet and peaceful spot with access through a private gate. It is a one minute walk to the Gateway Hiking and Biking trailhead and right on the way to Bunny Flat and further up the mountain. I do not have bathroom facilities, but I do have electricity and drinking water. There is a covered kitchen area with a cold water sink available to wash face/hands/dishes or to obtain drinking water. There is also some counter top area, with electricity. There are no streetlights; we live in the country. There ARE lights at the property entrance gate and in the kitchen area. The vehicle camping/parking spot is on level gravel under a large oak tree and commands a generous view. The tent camping area and the covered kitchen are a short walk further, on a paved road. The tent camping area is again under giant oaks, on soft ground, nestled in a hidden cove amid the landscaping. and conveniently near the covered kitchen area. The camp is by a beautiful Zinnia garden which blooms in the summer and a small orchard which is all fenced in. The property is wooded and has a view of Mt Shasta from the camp.
The camp has a picnic table, two outdoor chairs, WE ARE UNDER CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. NO CAMPFIRES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please ask upon your arrival if restrictions have been lifted.

We had a fantastic experience at Bigfoot Campground! The campground was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained. The manager was absolutely amazing friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in keeping the campground in great shape. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall this is a beautiful campsite. There is a delicious restaurant on the premise and the people who work there were very helpful. This particular site is next to the bathroom, which I didn’t realize when we booked it. There was also a bush of poison oak towards the back. But it is also one of the largest sites which fit our family well. We definitely will come back!

There were multiple dirt roads through the trees the kids could ride their bikes on and explore. There is also a rad pond and waterfall the kids got to explore. Plenty of space to play and relax to escape life for a little bit. Highly recommend if you are going to Lassen or hanging in the area

This campground is thoughtfully laid out, offering a great mix of tent sites, cabins, and a handful of RV spaces. We stayed in Site #2, which was a perfect fit for our 28-foot RV. One of our favorite parts was falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the creek all weekend—it was incredibly relaxing. The managers were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. Staying at Roca Ranch was a delight! It was peaceful and quiet with a gorgeous view of Mt. Shasta right from the campsite. Marcia was very accommodating and friendly as well.
Looking forward to returning next time I’m in the area!

Nice small campground with ideal access to Lassen. We spent a couple nights near the end of a 9 week road trip and loved it. Nothing like a small creek running along the back of your campsite. Well shaded thanks to so many trees which help with the private feel from site to site. Easy enough to back our 21 foot trailer in, but a few more feet and it would have been tricky. Great to have well maintained utilities.

Such a lovely experience! My partner and I messed up and Gerardo could have easily turned us away for not meeting their hipcamp site requirements, and didn’t. He was very kind and we felt very comfortable. Such a quite spot, definitely recommend!!

Nice clean spot. Had a picnic bench and a hammock at my site which was nice. There’s a disc golf course on the property in a cool 4 mile hike across the street.
