There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

It is on this property that I saw my first grouse. Also look for warblers-notably Audubon's and the Hermit Warblers- along with the White-headed Woodpecker. You will likely hear a Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see one Learn more about this land: Welcome to Sugarpine Slopes. The Sugarpine has the longest cones in the world and many birds and mammals like the pine nuts and use the tree for habitat. This is a spring through fall place only. There is no winter access. The property is at 5800 feet.  Depending on the weather the road may close from Nov 15th to May 15th.  The road on the property is a dirt road.  All wheel drive or 4WD vehicles recommended although the lower section could be accessed by most vehicles. Shorter trailers allowed at Site A. Site 3 can also accommodate a small teardrop-style trailer The property is totally undeveloped at this time. It is a wildlife corridor for deer and bear (keep all food contained), the mountain quail and the blue grouse. Keep your eyes open for the Hermit Warbler, Audubon's Warbler, and our gorgeous visitor from the tropics the Western Tanager. You are likely to hear the Pileated Woodpecker and if you are lucky you will see it and its red crest in an undulating flight through the trees. The property has a lovely west facing slope which climbs gradually at first then more steeply to the top of the property. We have drive-in camping on the lower section.  There is one walk-in site at the top of the property. There is wonderful hiking nearby with several trailheads in the area within approximately 4 miles.  More information can be provided upon request.

May through October there is a bath and shower house with hot water and flush toilets. Propane fire pits are available for rent. We have an ice machine on in the summer months located by our Main Lodge. The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family! Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild! The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. We are closed for the winter with the exception for self-Contained RV's. Mesg me if you want a reservation FYI: We are a 15-acre lake and experience seasonal lows towards the end of the summer. I cannot predict what the lake condition will be in. Camp Watanda is a retired resident camp that we have converted to a vacation rental. We have 10 acres of wooded property, with the 4 camping kiosks close to the waterfront and 1 RV site on the waterfront and 1 tent site. The camping kiosk all have 8-10 mattresses, grilling table, picnic table, cooler, smoke alarms, rake, broom and fire extinguishers. We are pet friendly with 1 dog per kiosk. Tents can be pitched on the elevated decks. Our waterfront has a large fire ring, 2-covered pergolas, canoes, kayaks, life jackets and charcoal grill. Lots of fish in the lake, since this is a private lake, no license is required. There is also a bathhouse (very primitive and in serious need of remodel) close by with 3 showers, 3 toilets and 3 sinks. Up by the lodge is a cell phone charging station and Wi-Fi with Starlink connection. No dispersed camping. RV CAMPING: Because of the steep driveway and blind curve, we limit the vehicle length to 25 overall length. Our driveway is more suitable for RV's and Camper Vans and not Travel Trailers being towed. If you rent a kiosk, all campers must be on the same kiosk unless you rent a second kiosk. If you have a camping van and plan on using the van and the kiosk, then that is a second site. You cannot tailgate on a reservation just because the party only has 2 people on the kiosk, and you have 2 in the Van to make 4 people. These are tents sites on a Kiosk, there is parking for cars or trucks at the kiosk, not suitable for RV or Travel Trailers. Those vehicles will have to park at the waterfront parking lot. There are no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of arrival. We reserve the right to adjust kiosk assignments at our discretion. NO SHOWS forfeit their site. Camp Watanda is private property, campers assume all liability for being on site. There is no lifeguard present. This is a natural habitat for woodland animals, there is an associated risk for camping in their home. Slips, trips and falls can occur on trails, camping structures and waterfront.

Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the popular public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not. We have 2 SUP boards, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces. ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed. Dogs are allowed and we do have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's. Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is some small firewood onsite, and if you need more you can purchase nearby at Almanor Landscape Supply or bring your own. The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, It is a 10 minute drive to the quaint, historical gold rush town of Nevada City, and about 20-30 minutes by bicycle along the the Tribute Trail into town, or walk to the bridge that crosses the Deer Creek to a loop trail with lovely views and wooded scenery, about 1.5 hours there and back to the campground. The gorgeous South Fork of the Yuba River is a 15 minute drive away. Great hiking, biking and swimming opportunities abound in the surrounding Sierra Nevada Foothills. The Bowman Road is about 1 + hour's drive East on Hwy 20 to Lake Spaulding, the smaller Fuller and Rucker lakes and Bowman Lake, as well as the Grouse Ridge hiking area. Nevada City has great restaurants, bars, music and theater, as well as shopping and art galleries. We offer 4 tent platforms, as well as 4 RV parking sites. Jones Bar Farm is a quiet little seven acre hobby farm at the end of the paved section of Jones Bar Rd in Nevada City, CA. We have 4 alpacas and about a dozen chickens, who free-range all over the farm. The farm is perched near the edge of the South Yuba River canyon at about 2100 ft elevation. We are "above the fog, and below the snow (usually)." Summers are hot and dry here. Daytime temps in July and August are typically in the 90s, and night time temps are in the 70s. Spring and Fall are our favorite seasons. There is, however, potable water, and the campsites are easy to access and relatively flat. Past our property, the unpaved, and very rough, section of Jones Bar Rd continues down into the South Yuba River canyon for about 2 miles, to a lovely swimming hole. Bicycling and hiking are very popular activities in this area. If you are bringing your dog with you on your travels, you will want to be aware of the many unpleasant sticker weeds that are prevalent everywhere around here. Foxtails, filaree, and hitch-hiker weeds will all find their way into your dog’s fur. The farm is about 6 miles from both Nevada City and Grass Valley. Both towns have lively and interesting down-towns with good shopping and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at Sierra Waters Homestead. The trail just off the property was beautiful and perfect for an afternoon walk/hike. The bathrooms and cooking area were a plus and made our camping stay more like glamping! Would definitely stay again.

The campground was well kept, and communication was great. I had to do a late check-in, and without me having to reach out they automatically sent me a text when the time got closer to late check in. When I needed the bathroom code and wi-fi, and called the number provided and the host picked up right away and texted me the information. Felt very seamless.

We loved this space so much we stayed again on the way home. The steam shower is hot and lovely and feels so luxurious after our long camping road trip. Jo was such a responsive and communicative host and showed up immediately with more propane when the hot water ran out. The lights in the trees make the site so dreamy. We will definitely be back!

Exactly what you need for a quick pit stop and rest! The farm was really nice and tucked away. Felt private and safe.

Large open meadow for running around and frisbee. Two tables are provided at the site. Mountain biking, trails and easy access to the Yuba and Gold Rush towns.

The camp host came out to meet each arriving party and guide them to their spot (as most of us rolled in after dark). Later she started a bonfire, and for the next couple of hours folks congregated in small groups talking about where they had been and where they were going. Very enjoyable social experience. Cooking facilities were excellent. They are outdoor, but it does not often rain here. Wind was moderate the night I was there. Two bathrooms (flush toilets and running water) quite close to the campsites.

The tent site was perfect; it was very peaceful, with wonderful views in all directions. Wendy was super and offered to get us extra wood for the fire since the wood on site was a bit moist from recent rain. We would definitely camp here again!

We loved our stay! Helen was so kind and helpful which was much appreciated as novice campers. The local hikes she recommended were top notch and doable with two kids. We camped in the fall and nights were chilly, but the days were pleasant and the landscape with the changing colors was stunning. The space felt safe to stay with my two kids and we left feeling empowered to camp again!

The farm was such a great place to stopover in our travels! My dog loved the open space to run around and explore all while being totally fenced in. The site was cute, with a picnic table, swing and running water. We took the drive down to the river (4wd needed) and the swimming hole was magical. Didn’t swim but definitely a place to be in the summer! Camp host was super helpful and quick to respond with knowledge of the road down to the river. We had a great time and would love to come back again!

My husband and I spent one night camping in our camper van. Was very easy to find and access. Spot was perfect, we fit great and even had power. The bath house is stunning and we very much enjoyed the hot tub! Was beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

This is the most incredible property, with the most incredible host! A peaceful sanctuary that allows one to get back in alignment with their own self in a lovely natural setting. I HIGHLY recommend for women on a healing journey, artists and writers needing to clear out blocks, or spiritual seekers in need of some sanctuary! This place has all the "magicalness" of Sedona & Mt. Shasta! A yearly visit is now on my calendar in order to give myself a much needed retreat! Camping at Willow woods was beautiful and private and I loved watching the Beavers, Owls, and Hawks. I also stayed at Tiny Blue, which was so comfortable, had beautiful views, and lots of cool outdoor sitting areas. The tiny kitchen had everything I needed and gave me the luxury of staying for an entire week! You can tell that Wendy loves being a host and believes in the sanctity of what she has created here, and it's reflected in every detail of the property itself and within her personal enthusiasm! This truly is a "choose your own adventure" experience!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Amazing Stay at Roughlands Campsite! Our stay at Roughlands Campsite was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, Jo, our wonderful host, made us feel so welcome. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, she even offered us an extra pop-up canopy just in case, and her responses were always so quick and thoughtful. The campsite itself is stunning! set against breathtaking woodland scenery that makes every sunrise and sunset feel magical. The hottub and bathhouse were an absolute treat after a long day of exploring—clean, comfortable, and so well maintained. You can really tell how much care and pride goes into keeping this place so beautiful and inviting. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature with an amazing host who truly cares, Roughlands Campsite is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back! Thankyou Jo!

Still love this place. I love how quiet it is and honestly how eerie it can be. But that's just the kind of hiker and camper that I am. I love the fact that it was easy to find the outhouse easy to get there. Easy to just be in the area and to enjoy this property. I cannot wait to come back again

Upper Jamison Creek Campground

The sign at the entrance of the campground is a little hard to see. Don't go past it on the dirt road or you'll need to turn around. The park is great!
