When to Go
Lake activities can be enjoyed year-round, from swimming and water sports in the summer months to ice boating and ice fishing through winter. Spring and autumn are the most scenic times to explore, when woodland wildflowers and fall foliage add a pop of color to the landscapes. The beach and camping areas can get busy in summer, but you’ll still find plenty of quiet spots to escape to around the lake.
