When we booked this place, we were very excited because we read all the glowing reviews. I can say that it still exceeded our expectations in every way!!!!! The host could not have been more gracious, kind, and welcoming to us. She is an absolute gem.
The cabin was lovely, and I kept forgetting that we didn't have a sink in there because it has every other amenity you could ask for! Air con, a heater, electricity, comfy beds, even wifi for goodness sake! The horses and other farm animals were absolutely lovely, so cute and silly.
I recommend that you bring binoculars to see the beautiful wildlife at the pond, pillows, bug spray and maybe a citronella candle, and you will have the absolute best time EVER!
I loved feeding the animals in the morning. These people have the kindest hearts and are helping so many people by running this animal sanctuary 🥰

Renee was a great host. We were getting in very late and she even went in and got the futon ready for us to just crash. The cabin is cute, clean and has everything you might need (no indoor plumbing, think glamping when packing). Sitting on the covered porch overlooking the pond and horse field was beautiful and so relaxing. Pumpkin, one of the farms cats, hung with us on the porch and watched over us all night. Highly recommend especially for animal lovers!
Such a beautiful cabin. Fred the turkey and Pumpkin the cat came on the porch to visit us Friday nite. The cabin is so pieceful but not quiet at night. At night the bull frogs are really loud lol. Renee told us about the mustangs. She told us bout the heards they came from and what there brands on neck ment. Plus she told us their names which I can only remember a few. We fed some of them carrots. Dale and Renee both told us about the program on how the mustangs help veterans and the training they do. It is really great program them have. They also had 3 donkeys. But they wouldn't come to us to pet them. The outhouse was really clean and has lights. We really loved it here and will be back again this year.
This place is amazing. My kids and I went away for 3 nights here to get away from the city life and we got some much more from Renee and Dale. We will definitely be back!

This was a delightful overnight stay for us! My daughter LOVED hanging with all the animals, and the owners were so welcoming and friendly. The mission of the place is really impactful, and the cabin is super cozy and clean.
We booked this cabin for one weekend….what an amazing experience! The hosts, Renee and Dale, are wonderful, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The property is beautiful. the horses, the cabin, and Fred the turkey are all charming in their own way.
We had a 2 year old with us, and even she had a good time. Renee and Dale went above and beyond…they baked fresh cookies to welcome us, which was such a thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely be coming back more often. Highly recommend!

Rustic Cabin
Such a peaceful place. Our toddler loved playing with the animals. Renee and her husband gave us eggs and homemade brownies to go! A must visit if you are looking to escape for a weekend to recharge!

What a great spot for a weekend getaway! It was so neat to be surrounded by friendly animals while just enjoying the outdoors. Renee was a fantastic host, so attentive and so wonderful. Would highly recommend to anyone! I will definitely be back 😊
Renee is a fantastic host!! I rode my bike from Pittsburgh, 60 miles with 5250 elevation in the rain. Renee turned the heat up and had a welcome treat for me. She went out of her way to make me comfortable.
The little cabin was just what I needed. There were frogs peeping, rain on the roof, and an electric fire blazing to greet me.
I was beat so I wasn't an good at being social, but Renee seems like an enjoyable person to meet.
The farm animals made it a great place to return to. There is an outhouse, but there is a container of lime available to lightly flower the contents and eliminate odors.

As always, Renee and Dale’s ranch is a slice of heaven!
I stayed in the cabin at DLR Mustang Ranch for a weekend, and it was exactly what I needed. I came to catch up on homework for my doctoral program and to have some quiet space to recover after the loss of my mother. It gave me such a peaceful, safe, and comfortable place to be alone, focus, and heal.
As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe the entire time, and that meant so much to me. I can’t say enough about Renee’s generosity and hospitality and the good things happening at DLR Mustang Ranch. I am so grateful for my stay and will absolutely be back.

Renee, Dale, all the mustangs, and all the farm animals welcomed me with open hearts. The cabin was so cozy and rocking on the porch with the pond and horses was the most peaceful. I will visit again!

This was the most beautiful and peaceful experience! My kids had so much fun feeding the horses and meeting all the animals after our long drive. Renee was the absolute sweetest person and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We were exploring most of the time but getting to see and pet the horses was amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us.

We loved staying at the cabin. It was well furnished and had an amazing view. We had a great time interacting with the farm animals, specially the horses and the cats. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We are definitely going back for another stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a farm stay.

Pond Campsite
Our stay was perfect, the site is beautiful and well kept and the host was very welcoming and kind to our two boys. She showed us all their animals and told us their backstories and even let our oldest help feed the chickens. She provided snacks for the horses which we were able to feed whenever we wanted. They come right up to the tent site and the cabin. We felt very safe and it was easy to find when driving in. Each animal we interacted with was good, the turkey will climb on your shoulder and the cats will sit on you by the fire. We are very happy and plan to come back again!
If you want a more private stay I would recommend booking both the tent site and the cabin if possible. The out house and fire pit are communal so if you don’t you’ll end up getting cozy with some strangers.

I don't know where to begin. This has been an incredible experience from the moment I got here. Dale and Renee are 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Renee goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. I fell in love with Buddy, the donkey. All of the animals from the handsome Fred the turkey to Pumpkin the cat are soo soo sweet. The horses are beautiful. I sat on the porch of the cabin and watched them across the pond. I even got a visit from 2 horses asking for treats. It was amazing!!! I can NOT recommend this place enough. It is peaceful, quaint, and feels like home away from home. I will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!!!!
I can’t even explain how wonderful this day was! Renee went above and beyond! The ranch itself is so peaceful and grounding. It gives you a chance to reset and connect with nature and yourself again. I highly highly recommend a visit. You won’t be disappointed!
What an amazing place and hosts. Beautiful cabin and hanging out with the horses was magical. Renee and Dale did everything to make our stay the best it could be. Came as strangers, left a friend's. Can't wait to go back.
I got to spend my holiday weekend at the cabin on Renee's beautiful land and ending up wishing I had booked a longer stay ...it was just the space I needed. Solo female traveler approved and amazing value for a cabin that includes so much to make your stay a comfortable one. Parking so close I had no trouble lugging my gear in. Cell phone reception was excellent (I have T-Mobile and never had an issue, though wifi is available if preferred). Super easy to find ...I Google Mapped it from the address provided and found it with absolutely no issues.
It truly is a peaceful, healing space managed by the most kind, generous hosts. I spent so much time just sitting on the porch looking across the pond (which currently has a small fountain running beautiful water sounds 24/7) and taking in the view of these beautiful horses grazing back and forth, some even coming right up to the railing for treats stored just for them on the porch. It's surprisingly quiet considering it's a working farm. The hosts leave you at peace when you need your space, and there's not a lot of traffic on the small country road that runs past the place.
I'm so glad I found this place and can't wait to come back and spend more time here.

This was exactly the getaway my husband and I were looking for. Being surrounded by beautiful mustangs and the quiet of the ranch was just what we needed! Renee and Dale were so inviting and very helpful. Both my husband and I learned a ton about Mustangs both at the Ranch and in the wild. We loved Ranger greeting us every morning and multiple times a day. I especially loved the time I was able to spend with Bella the partially blind paint. She was absolutely the sweetest. Looking forward to making plans to come back in the fall!
Truly a delightful place to stay. Quiet, surrounded by lovely livestock, a comfortable little cabin that offers all sorts of nice little touches. Hosts that are friendly and helpful, and gorgeous scenery. Would absolutely book again.
It was a pleasure staying in Renée‘s cabin. It was so comfortable and well stocked. The horses, turkey, chickens, Goat, donkeys, etc. were a wonderful addition to my stay. It was great getting to know Renee. I appreciated the tour and the accommodations. I have a lot of respect for the program that Renée has created there.
This place is truly a hidden gem—I can’t wait to come back! Renee was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin was cozy and well-kept, and falling asleep each night to the soothing sounds of nature was pure bliss. One of the highlights of my visit was spending time with all the animals—especially the beautiful mustangs and the unforgettable Fred the turkey! It was such a peaceful and memorable escape.
