The kids and dogs had fun in the creek. We were the only ones tent camping thankfully otherwise we would have been very close to the other site. Lots of the pictures that look like they're in the woods must be from an older site that is now very clearly posted beyond the property line. Firewood was available which was wonderful. We felt like we were staying in someone's backyard. There is a house is across from the creek but they have a clear view to where we were camping. They started the chainsaws at 8am on the dot, which is nothing the host would be able to do anything about, just something to keep in mind. Overall the property was well taken care of, I had just expected to be in the woods.

Great place to setup camp and just relax for a few days. Quiet, plenty of privacy and some good neighbors at the bottom of our site. Anthony was on top of our questions and answered quickly to our needs.

All hook-ups worked, well kept landscape. Main house is in view from all spots but a quiet area nonetheless. Depending on how booked the area is you could have a neighbor within shouting distance. AWD/4WD recommended for the grass/field spots as they are on top of a grassy hill so unless you can get momentum with a trailer in reverse(!), might have difficulty backing up to them. Thanks for making your land available to use!

Do Not Stay Here!!!

The campsite as pictured is NOT on the host's property at all! Anthony is knowingly directing his guests to stay on his neighbor's property and has signs telling his campers to continue past a marked property line. I was only made aware of this after arriving by the neighbor who was annoyed at dealing with campers continuing to come onto his property at this host's direction. Anthony was not responsive, not present on site as claimed, rude, dismissive, deceitful, and underhanded. It's a shame because the camp could be nice but Anthony is taking advantage of the system, Hipcamp, his neighbor, and all campers staying there. Hipcamp has been made aware of this issue yet Crash Site #3 remains able to be booked. Don't do it. Even further, staff informed me during my dispute that Anthony denied my request for a refund even though I wasn't able to stay at the advertised site because it was not on his property. Anthony's ruined my getaway weekend camping trip and didn't even bother to apologize. People like this have no place in a welcoming community. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

We needed a quick reset for the weekend! Easy to find. A really short walk to the campsite. Even though you’re right next to the road, it was really quiet! There is free firewood but you’ll have to walk to get it; hey, the wood is free! Didn’t get a chance to pop our tent because it was cold and rainy! But would definitely stay again! Thanks!

The Perfect Spot to clear your head

Awesome, peaceful scenery! This spot has a real charm to it,:and as soon as you cross that Red, Metal bridge...it's like your in another world altogether. If you need to get away and clear your head, this is definitely your place! Firewood was provided all over the grounds which was a pleasant bonus as well..😉 Thanks Anthony!

We loved camping here!! It was perfect! The water right beside the campsite and it was super peaceful! Would definitely recommend camping here! The hammock is super relaxing as well. Plenty of pre cut fire wood up the hill with a donation box!

Once I realized where to park and camp it was a lovely time! Be prepared to carry your items from the parking area to the camping site. The river/creek is beautiful and the trees provide a lot of privacy from the residential area around. It is a safe space with a fire pit, garbage can, and seating. There was some poison ivy to avoid but that's nature. Firewood available by donation. Some hills to traverse. My deaf dog enjoyed surveying the area, unleashed, safe from the road. Responsive land owner. My dog and I booked a second night because it worked out so well. Close to civilization but secluded enough to feel free to unwind and unplug... however plenty of cell service if listening to an audio book or music.

Really enjoyed my stay with my little travel trailer at the Big D. Greeted by Tony when I arrived, this place is really laid back and on a very pretty river run on the Ohio Pennsylvania border. Can't wait to stay again.

Was driving through western PA & this was a great site. Yes, close proximity to a road (on the other side of the creek), but there were very few vehicles traveling on it the night I stayed. I hung my hammock right by the creek & waded in the next morning. Would definitely stay here again. You're also 5 minutes away from downtown Sharon PA which has lots of amenities.

Very nice for a little getaway! Exactly as advertised, responsive host and we had the place to ourselves. The road is close by and you can see the neighbors house across the street but that didn’t bother us one bit.

It was a weekend and didn’t want to deal with a packed campground. Had the place to ourselves! Took a 22’ camper van over the bridge and parked right off to the right and walked down. It’s shaded but the solar lights did kick on. There is a hill but none of the teens complained.the crick did have some above knee spots close by to float around in and got sun along with a lot of life including curious minnows/chubs. Site two had a number and was closer to the trail to the van and had an easier access to the crick. Both great spots.

We stayed on Anthony’s property for two nights ahead of the 2024 Solar Eclipse. This affordable campsite in the line of totality was perfect for what we were looking for, especially as a lot of cabins and hotels had been booked up quickly, or had jacked up their prices for the event. We only met Dustin, who lives at this property as well, but he was really welcoming and laid back. It was really cold the weekend we were there and they offered as much free firewood as we needed, which was awesome! The camping area was flat and had several trees. We sleep in hammocks instead of a tent so this is a plus for us. The only negative for us was that there is a road right next to the campsite that we weren’t aware of from the pictures. It wasn’t super busy, but still had fairly regular traffic. I would imagine that this is less of an issue later in the year when there are leaves on the trees; but, in early April we were pretty exposed. Overall though, this was a good first experience using hipcamp and we are so grateful that Anthony and Dustin opened up their property to us at an affordable rate so that we could see the amazing total eclipse!

To be honest I did not actually stay overnight though I did hang out for an hour or so before heading west to catch a better view of the eclipse. But from talking to another camper who was there and from what I saw I think this is a good place to camp. The parking area is small and not level so that is something to take into account. Also my GPS got me 99% of the way there and I luckily remembered there is a bridge to the property which I could see from where my GPS dumped me.
