We want to thank all of you for bringing your love of camping, and allowing us to keep our vision alive! 3 miles from Dollar stores and fuel in Salineville, Ohio, Close to Wellsville, the Ohio River, Brush Creek Nature Preserve, Highlandtown Lake, The Little Beaver Creek Greenway(bike/walking) trail in Lisbon, Ohio, Atwood and Leesville Lakes, and great gravel riding for adventure motorcycle riders. Primitive camping! (Bring your own bedding, cooking supplies, and as nightly temperatures drop, we highly recommend reviewing our heating options!) Secluded one acre lot on dead end road surrounded by hundreds of acres of woods. (The aerial map images are outdated. There are no other structures on this property) **2 campers recommended for Cabin ** Included: - 8x10’ TINY a-frame cabin on a 12’x18’ deck with a 42"x6' loft and removable ladder. Lots of natural lighting! - Dutch style door with drop down screens, rear window is removable with a privacy curtain and screen, for air flow -Tiny stainless wood burner in cabin (read the "how to" guide in the welcome binder) -5 gallons potable water for washing and cooking. An additional 5 gallons in restroom tent -2 cots, 2 chairs, 1 table, two small fans, auxiliary solar power for phone charging *(Bring an air mattress or air pads for more comfort, we understand that cots aren’t ideal for everyone) - fire pit with light duty grate for cooking, an additional state park style charcoal grill, lighter fluid provided (bring your own charcoal) - Primitive restroom. Portable camp toilet in extra tall walk-in hunting blind on 6x6’ wooden deck in close proximity to cabin - Lots of wildlife. This is place is exactly as pictured it’s a small piece of peace and quiet away from the busyness of life and yet close enough to have anything you could need. The hosts are amazing people, they have so many little amenities that make this rustic cabin a little more Glamping then camping. The weather was cold and they have so many options to stay warm, the cabin provides a great place to rest and relax and I even cooked a stew over the little stove. I will definitely comeback here. Two days flew by and I’m already planning my next time here. The only advise I will give you is call service is spotty for Verizon but my ATT hotspot worked or just shut them off all together if you can. Also get groceries before coming to the area as a dollar store is all that is close. The hosts did a great job describing their place and left clear instructions. Thank you for the great place.

Had an amazing time here, a great way to get away and spend some quiet quality time in nature. The place come with many amenities which are all easily labeled and we paid extra for the heated shower and canopy, it rained but we’re still able to enjoy it under the canopy and the heated shower was very easy to use with the directions given to us in the binder. During October the host says they leave pumpkins for the guest and we had a great fall activity doing that. 10/10 definitely plan on coming back!

CUTE & QUIET

Beautiful! Completely private, don't really hear any road noise, there's a lake that's a 3min walk away. I realized at 9pm that I accidentally left a bag I packed, luckily the cabin had most of what I forgot. Games, tin foil, salt & pepper, wet wipes, paper towels, all the essentials. My dog had a blast too, she loved the small creek that runs along the driveway. AND the price is great, I plan on visiting a few times a year!

Perfect Peaceful Escape

I love solo camping/traveling with my dogs whenever I can. I have a high pressure job and am always looking for peace whenever I can get away. That is exactly what I found at this beautiful property. You feel like you are in your own little nature preserve away from all the stress of the normal day to day. It was the perfect escape. Jim and Tracy are very respectful of your privacy and also so friendly and so helpful with everything. Mugs and I will definitely be back as soon as we can 🖤 Thank you both so much for everything

My pup and I had a great stay at this A-frame cabin! The secluded location was quiet, peaceful, and the perfect place to disconnect for a few days. The hosts were wonderful and had the canopy and Blackstone set up and ready to go, which made everything easy and enjoyable. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the spot. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay!

This spot is amazing! The cabin is nested up a small hill that is by a creek, its super private and peaceful. You have the site all to yourself. Its very well equipped for a comfortable camping stay. We were on a tent camping streak and days were rainy and this gem is just what we needed to give us a break. Hosts were really welcoming, attentive and thoughtful. It was also inspiring to read about the cabin’s story and how it all came together in the manual. They were also really generous with the first free bundle of woodfire they offered, along with all the little attentions and details left for us. You can tell they are campers themselves and that they really put their heart in taking care of the place. Check in was smooth and simple, instructions were clear, communication was good. Our only regret is we couldnt stay longer. One of the best quality price deal we’ve found on hipcamp so far! Thanks so much Joe!

inspiring!

wow, what an inspiring place to get away. the landscape is stunning, and the cabin even more so. jim’s incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail made this spot feel like a home away from home. the area is very clean and well maintained. my husband and i were only able to stay for one night, but we will definitely be returning! next time, we’re excited to check out the surrounding attractions that the hosts mapped out in the welcome book. cant reccomend jim and tracy enough, thank you both!

Cozy Hideaway!

We last minute decided to go camping and found this cute little spot! It was a very much needed break from the stress of the "real world" and we loved everything this place had to offer. Getting to sit in a hammock and listen to the birds was awesome, the hummingbirds got close enough to hear their wings buzzing. We spent a lot of time around the fire, identifying different bird calls, and listening to the spring peepers at night. We brought a few of our own things and bedding to make the cots extra cozy, but they provide a lot for you such as different ways to light the fire, a bug zapper, and a solar powered port with USB slots! It was super cozy and great for the soul. We will absolutely be back 🤙🏻

Jim and Tracy were very generous hosts ...they've carved out a beautiful little corner of the world and included this cozy rustic cabin with thoughtful detail. I spent three peaceful nights there alone, getting to take in the natural scenery, complete with a lovely lake very close by. During my stay (around mid-May) I could hear all the way from the cabin porch the little cascades and riffles from where the lake rushes into what looks like a small creek. You'll hear a plane overhead once in a while as well as occasional commuters along the main road mainly in the morning and evening; otherwise, it's pretty quiet for stretches at a time (even quieter on the weekend). I didn't see or hear a single person the entire time, except one vehicle that had clearly made a wrong turn and went right back out. Most sounds are just the wildlife, the wind in the trees, and the water. It was very easy to find, and check in went very smoothly. If you have to park at the entrace, it's not a far walk to the cabin ...only about 100 feet up a gentle incline. The toilet is located in a hunting blind and very clean. I have T-Mobile and got service, though I kept my phone off for most of my stay (and downloaded the area in Google Maps just in case). I'm a solo female traveler and felt very safe here. If you're thinking about getting away for a while for some peace and quiet, don't hesitate to book this site!

We had a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp A-frame site—it's a peaceful, secluded property surrounded by trees and beautiful mountain views, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The host was very thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed, including wood and fire starters so we didn’t have to run to the store. It’s very private, so you truly get the whole place to yourself. We also brought our dog, and he absolutely loved it. Overall, a great experience—we’d definitely come back!

the Aframe is so cute and well-equipped with solar lights and tiny wood stove. The deck and yard are beautiful. I wish I'd had more time to enjoy. I hurt my back the night I arrived and could barely walk the next day. I ended up packing up and driving 3 hours home. Jim and Tracy were so understanding and even refunded my 2nd night. I hope to stay in the future

Great place to Relax

Jim and Tracy are great hosts. I spoke with Jim upon arrival, and he made sure I was okay. I stayed alone at the A-frame and felt completely safe. It’s listed as one acre, but it felt like I was in the middle of a huge property—very quiet, secluded, and peaceful. I loved my stay at this cabin, and I’ll definitely be back in the summertime.
