Green Spacious Primitive Sites
We had a great time camping here, trees were perfect shade, the river crystal clear, hosts were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in site 5, which backs up to the next property. They have flood lights on all night, great for a group with small kids running around but we like yours darkness and stars. Site 4 right next to it would be perfect for a darker option. The spots across the water are probably the best as they are beautiful and have heavy shading but they are much closer together so it would be best if you have a group and get to take 1,2,&3 (which is what the campers there at our time were doing). The spots not along the river are really nice and some have very lush ground that would be great if you don't mind a one minute walk to the water, we wanted to hear the water as we slept. The river has a mini rapid right at the curve so it's perfect for drowning it other's noise. There river is perfect to sit on but not deep enough to swim unless you're a kiddo. There is another bigger river right up the road a couple miles and then about 20 minutes away is a waterfall national Forrest type area with trails and swimming and it's amazing. The little store onsite literally had everything you could ever think of that you could need and to our surprise it was all reasonably priced. All in all we really enjoyed our trip, the photos of the property don't do it justice as they are winter photos and the trees are so much more lush in summer. Oh and the porta potty was probably the cleanest we have ever seen. We definitely recommend staying here for a nice rustic, primitive place to camp.
