Located in the town of Smyrna in Northern Maine. We are in the heart of Amish country with many Amish stores close by as well as other local businesses. There is plenty to do in this area, we have two golf courses close by. Numerous Club ATV Trails, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, hiking and more. The north entrance of Baxter State Park is about an hour away and you can be on the pristine Maine seacoast in about 3 hours.
Our private RV site is a 50 Amp full hookup including sewer. Our grounds are maintained and we normally cut the grass once a week. We provide a picnic table and a fire pit. Fire wood can be purchased on site. We will be testing our water later this year…until the results come back we state the water is ‘NONPOTABLE”
There is a pet exercise area provided which is at least 75ft from dwellings and a large open field that is closely mowed if you wish to play fetch with your pet. Directly across the road from the RV site is the upper Bison (Buffalo) field. On site there is also a nail salon that specialize in Pedi, Mani and Thai Nail Art. Book early as her appointment book stays full particularly during the summer months.

Welcome to The Firefly Tavern!
We are thrilled to share our 424-acre property with you while we work on "LARPscaping" the venue. To ensure a safe, legal, and magical stay for everyone, all guests must strictly adhere to the following rules:
Water from creeks, ponds, and wetlands is non-potable. Do not drink it. Do not damage the banks of creeks.
Strictly 100% Self-Contained RVs Boondocking and Tents Only:
We are currently operating exclusively as a primitive, self-contained campground. You must bring your own fully functioning, self-contained restroom and wastewater holding tanks.
No Public Facilities or Restrooms: There are absolutely no public restrooms, portable toilets, running water hookups, or electricity available on-site during this phase.
Please pack in all the fresh water you will need for your stay:
Water from our creeks, ponds, wetlands, is not potable water.
Look for updates, as wells go in.
Zero-Tolerance Waste Policy:
In strict compliance with Maine environmental laws, dumping of greywater (sink/shower) or black water (sewage) on the ground is completely illegal and will result in immediate eviction from the property. All waste must leave with you in your tanks.
Lodge and Feast Hall are Strictly Off-Limits:
The existing Lodge, upper loft, and Feast Hall are currently closed, locked, and undergoing preparation for our LARP venue. For safety, insurance, and local code compliance, no guests are permitted inside or around these structures at any time. Look for updates.
Pack-In, Pack-Out Trash:
We maintain a pristine natural environment and want to prevent attracting local Aroostook County wildlife (including bears). You must securely store all trash inside your vehicle and pack it out with you when you leave.
Fire Safety and Local Firewood:
Campfires are only permitted in designated, host-approved fire areas, subject to local weather conditions and fire danger ratings. To protect Maine's forests from invasive pests, do not bring out-of-state firewood.
All firewood must be sourced locally within Aroostook County.
Property Capacity:
To comply with our town approvals, no more than 24 total guests are permitted on the property at any one time. Please ensure your booking accurately reflects your total party size.
Unless you're paying for a one-off event, that is given a special permit.
Independent LARP:
LARP groups are welcome! Run your own LARP on our Venue!

Very cool place, we used it as a base camp and did a couple days of ATV trail touring on our fatbikes. We camped in the field off the parking lot and it was great! Very friendly host, clean bathrooms and showers from I believe 7am to 8 pm.

We’re staying here while my spouse is working a travel nursing job. The hosts are super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The property is beautiful and I love all the little animals at the barn. The nature around this area is great and there are local Amish businesses close by that have fresh veggies, dairy, meat, and baked goods! I would recommend this site to anyone visiting the area!

First the site is amazing! 4-5 RV sites with Full 30/50 hookups, water and septic. But there are also several quaint, but spacious cabins on the property situated right near the lake. All of which come fully stocked with everything you need. What most won't understand is how amazingly well kept everything is, like in the bathhouse with 2 toilet/shower rooms sit next to the laundry services. Every detail was thought about, everything was spotless clean, and ready for guest use.
Then, the host Matthew... OMG! We have found the GOAT of RV site hosts, ladies and gentlemen. Kind, flexible, informative, and understanding, especially to guests like us, who were late to arrive and needed the booking modified.
I couldn't recommend this location enough. Can we give 6 stars? 5 just isn't enough. Don't look elsewhere in the area, this is the place you should experience.
