We are a humble, small, family-operated, diversified farm spanning 180 acres. Alongside raising eleven children, we take pride in cultivating u-pick blueberries, raspberries, apples, and pumpkins, as well as raising meat poultry. Our farm also boasts a variety of livestock, including cows for dairy products and beef, egg-layers, and sheep. Notably, our children are actively involved in caring for and utilizing riding and driving horses. Located not too far from the North Woods, the Allagash, Mt. Kathadin, and numerous lakes, we are surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty.

Perfect spot to watch the eclipse. Easy to access and plenty of room to roam.

Kindness Shines at Sunnyside Farm

The Joseph-Etienne family is lovely. Hospitable, friendly, and kind. We visited during the time of the total solar eclipse and the unseasonably warm temperatures created unexpected challenges for accommodating vehicles on the muddy access roads. But everyone made it work. We all had such a great time meeting one another and enjoying the farm animals and the farm environment. As is made clear in the description, this is a working farm, so visitors should be prepared for the reality of animal barns, compost piles, farm machinery, etc. Bring our boots!

Camping on a Farm

My trip didn't go well - I never made it to Sunnyside Family Farm (my problem, not theirs). I wish we could have seen the place. I was impressed with Joseph-Etienne's communications and instructions before the stay. They told us about the farm and what to expect. Being from Maine, we understand mud season, and appreciated the heads up. Directions were clear, and information about the area was very helpful. I would definitely book this place again the next time I'm up that way.

We went up for the eclipse. They were incredibly hospitable and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We are thankful they shared their space with us, we had a wonderful time!!!

Joseph-Etienne and family were super friendly and they opened their home for us during the solar eclipse. Had plenty of space for us and our pup. Would definitely recommend.

Great place!

This is a great place to camp for a couple nights. The hosts were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed.
