Sites are located along a tree line in the back lot of Gateway Trading Post on Garfield Road in Ashland, Maine. The sites are a stones-throw-away from the Realty Road, which leads to the North Maine Woods (& 6 mile gate). Guests are surrounded by rivers, lakes, streams, woods, trees, & wildlife. There is access to all the adventurous things the County has to offer - hiking, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, ATV riding, sight seeing, relaxing, swimming, paddling, canoeing, kayaking, the list goes on and on. Perfect for Solar Eclipse!

Three minute walk to the river for fishing, kayaking and canoeing. Walk on the trails. Enjoy an outside fire and 20 acres all to yourself. Plenty of room for parking. Very private. Open from May 1 to Nov 1. Because you are near the water and in the woods, there are mosquitoes! We winterize the camp.

Two cabins available - with private entrances. Downstairs sleeps 8 and upstairs sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a pull out bed upstairs that can sleep 2 additional people (a little crammed though. The upstairs camp has two sets of bunk beds with an open layout. Just the bathroom is private with a door. The downstairs has two sets of bunk beds in each room (two rooms) so it is sleeps 4 in each room for a total of 8. Both are equipped with full kitchens, living room, bathroom with showers and drinkable water. There is a beautiful private pond for catch and release fishing or swimming if water is warm enough. Pond is spring fed. These camps are located near our home and across from our active farm. The camp is 30 minutes north of Bangor, 70 minutes from Bar Harbor and 70 minutes from Baxter State Park & Mt Katahdin. Plan to stay here for the solar eclipse then travel to a high place to see it. There's plenty of water near by for fishing, kayaking, & canoeing. Plenty of woods for hiking.

A beautiful location , comfortable camp refrigerator 4 burner gas stove comfortable beds. Very close to the river where the borrowed the thoughtfully left canoe. Lots of bass in the river. Great place for a campfire too very Private.!

Penobscot River Camp
This is an excellent spot for an overnight stay, featuring charming decorative touches. It's an ideal retreat for those wanting to escape the city and enjoy privacy and solitude. The accommodation includes 8 bunk beds, providing plenty of space for a comfortable night's sleep, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. I would recommend bringing your own blankets in winter as the blankets provided are thin.

Northern Maine Woods RV/Tent Sites!
I messed up and booked the wrong tent location (the location was 2hrs away from the one I wanted) and this family took care of me like I was their own. They gave me options for other available locations and immediately set us up in a beautiful field on their property. They built a fire ring, brought a picnic table, 2 chairs and plenty of fire wood for the night. Corey was so kind and Brenda was so understanding of my mistake. Thank you so much for the stay, lll definitely be back!!!

Penobscot River Camp
Brenda’s place was quiet and private with lots of woodsy charm. It was a comfortable place to stay, and the access to the Penobscot river was great.

Adorable hunting cabin
Cabin by private pond, Lagrange, ME
We had a great time here. Enjoyed the animals, view of the pond, and fire pit. We made great friends with a cute little farm cat! Will definitely return!
