We invite you to come stay at our location in the Western Maine mountains. We are located off of the Long Falls Dam Rd in Carrying Place Township, in the heart of Maine's wilderness. Our property offers beautiful mountain views; many nearby hiking trails; nearby swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking at Flagstaff Lake; along with numerous back roads to explore and look for wildlife. You can also find ATV trails about a half hour drive away in the town of Kingfield. Ensure you are guaranteed a spot just outside the Bigelow Preserve and everything it has to offer. Our sites sit behind a locked gate that is monitored 24/7 with a security camera. Also, although we are remote, we do offer Wi-Fi for your convenience.
Please take note that our sites are remote. We may be right off a paved road, but the closest town with a store is a half an hour drive. Also be mindful that this is the Maine wilderness, there are wild animals that frequent our location, along with biting insects such as deer flies and mosquitoes. This truly is a beautiful location, but please be sure to pack accordingly for your stay.

Watersrock Woods Campsites are private tent and remote camping locations in the beautiful Southern Maine forest. Site #1 is a decent sized remote tent site with spots for 1 -3 tents, 1 - 2 cars max and 6 guests. Site #2 is a very large remote tent site with spots for multiple tents, multiple vehicles and 8 guests. Site #3 is the smallest remote tent sites with spots for 1 or 2 tents, 1 - 2 cars max and 4 guests.
All 3 sites are mostly surrounded by 6' natural berms with lots of pine trees between each campsite creating additional privacy. They all have a picnic table and fire pit. Campsite site #2 is a larger space with plenty of room for multiple cars and 5 -6 tents. It has a propane barbecue grill, picnic table, fire pit, hammock, outdoor patio set with seating for 6.
A shared portapotty is on site and cleaned weekly from May 1st - October 31st. There isn’t electricity or running water and there is spotty cell phone service but a its great wooded spot for some remote camping in Southern Maine.
There is a nearby tote road for guests to go on nature hikes. (5 - 10 miles) There is a path that leads down to a brook that abuts the property and there is a 1/4 mile dirt road that leads to the Little Ossipee River that's great for wading, fishing, tubing, etc.. There are also free local public swimming spots within 10 minutes in any direction that don't get a lot of traffic and hiking trails in abutting towns.
The town of Limerick has a grocery store, hardware store, convenience store, a post office and dollar general for your other needs. (Within 5 - 6 minutes) It is a small town of approximately 3300 people. They say if you blink you'll miss it. It is very peaceful. Great for camping, fishing, glamping or relaxing! We love it out here and hope you will too!

FAQ: Our cabin is an off grid (very limited power, now way to charge or plug in AC devices) post and beam structure that we built 9 years ago. It has a full kitchen, wood stove, and screened porch. There is a large (150 gallon) tank of water for doing dishes and camp showers but we do not suggest drinking it. There is a generous supply of lanterns (both battery and inflatable solar) flashlights and string lights for lighting. We have wired lights that run off DC power when there is enough solar and we provide some battery packs for charging phones. We highly suggest bring some way to charge any of your personal electronics. There is no reliable way to do that in the cabin.
This is a small two story timber frame cabin off grid and secluded deep in the woods. It has a separate outhouse as well as shower stall to use the solar shower bags in. The cabin has a king sized bed in the loft with a child size fold down bunk above it; there is also a pull out couch on the first floor. As well as a kitchen, screened in porch and fire pit. Linen, dishes and utensils are not included please bring all that you need. There is a propane 4 burner stove with oven and solar shower bags. Trash and campfire wood is included. We are very busy with kids and work, we try our best to clean and re-supply between guests but it is not always possible, please let us know if something needs attention!

The Wakefield Wildlife Sanctuary was generously bequeathed to the Kennebec Land Trust in November 2016 upon owner Kendra Wakefield Shaw’s passing. Its 108-acres feature historic cabins and 4000 feet of frontage on Cobbossee Stream in West Gardiner. The property’s coniferous and deciduous woods, vernal pools, and marshlands are important habitat for many species of birds, mammals, and plants.
In 2018, the Maine Cabin Masters renovated two of the stream-side cabins, which now serve as rustic getaways for Hipcampers and the like.
A small dock and canoes are available for use on the wide and deep flatwater stream!
*NEW 2024 - A dock has been added to cabin 2, so each cabin now has it's own private dock.

Hidden Brook is located on a small family-owned vegetable farm five minutes outside the village of Cornish, Maine. Three generations of farmers live here presently, but our family has been working this land since the mid 1700’s.
Cornish is a pretty special place to live and visit because we are about 50 minutes drive from both the city of Portland on the coast and the White Mountains to the west. There are tons of local hikes here in the foothills, two big rivers to float or paddle, dozens of swim spots, good fishing, and a lively little village with at least 7 antiques shops, local art, and some pretty darn good restaurants. Our neighborhood even hosts some of the best musicians in the world each July at The Ossippee Valley Music Festival. Yeah, we got it all going on! Come play with us or just chill at Hidden Brook.
So far, we have one spot open for “glamping”, The Bus, but we will add the Wagon this fall.
The Bus, an engineless 1973 Bluebird School bus is pretty pimped out. Though off the grid, cell reception is pretty good and rechargable lighting is provided. Our outdoor kitchen, on a spacious deck ( fenced in for kids ) includes a heavy duty propane stove, Yeti cooler and pots and pans. Indoors, there’s a slop-bucket sink for tooth-brushing (dishes are to be washed out on the deck ), a small woodstove to take off the chill come fall and a nice big fire pit outside. Wood is provided. Buses can get hot in summer, so we put ours in a shady little grove of ancient oaks amongst the remains of the farm’s original stonework and installed screens the full length of the bus. We built a compost-style outhouse and a beautiful outdoor shower we call “The Cold Drizzler” down in the old homestead cellar hole. Kind of a secret garden bathroom : )
Inside is a full-sized bed for one or two people and two cot-sized “75 long bunks, sleeping a total of four humans. Quality mattresses, sheets and blankets with a change of sheets and tons of pillows ought to provide a comfortable night’s sleep. Four towels and face cloths provided. Coffee and “pour-overs” on site as well as silverware, bowls and plates. All you really need is ice for the cooler and your food - or just go out to eat.

You will be given directions to an address once you book but please make sure that you follow the signage to the bus carefully, otherwise you’ll end up at the wrong property. Drive until you see two giant, eyeballs attached to a telephone pole, and the bus will be immediately after that on your right. Thank you so much.

Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking.
Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Downtown Norway has quaint shops to browse! Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. ATV trails (also can be used for off-road biking)onsite connect with other towns for many miles and hours of riding. Plenty of lakes/rivers for kayaking. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

You'll arrive at our barn and home, probably greeted by a variety of animals.
Walking past the house and through the field towards the tree line, you'll arrive at our tiny cabin situated on a hill with the salt marsh below.
The tiny cabin is furnished with a full sized bed, a wooden bench, beehive working woodstove, and shelving. There are candle lanterns provided, however we suggest also bringing a few flashlights.
Depending on the season we have farm vegetables and eggs available, kayaks available upon request to use to explore the salt marsh and harbors right out in front of the cabin.
A short drive and you can find numerous hiking areas and beaches or take the longer 1 hour and 15 min ride to Bar Harbor.
The cabin is not visible to the main house, though sound may travel. You'll have a beautiful view of the water facing west for sunsets. We access the water and trails around the fields foraging for berries with our kiddos and dogs, along with rotating the grazing animals though we will provide ample space to respect your privacy.
A small gas grill and cooler can be provided.
Cabin has no electric or running water. Water can be accessed from the main house and/or barn pumps depending on season, however will need to be brought down to cabin. Outhouse is located nearby.

When you think the road ends keep driving a short distance and you will start seeing signs. Originally settled in the early 1800's with a few house's, barn's and an old one room schoolhouse. A few foundations are still visible along with a couple old dug wells and dumps with old bottles.
We now own 365 acres that was named Texas Four Corners (no one knows why) in the middle of 1,600 undeveloped acres with the closest inhabited house from our property is over a mile away. 15 Mile Stream runs thru the property. 16 miles to Common Ground Fair in Unity. 15 miles to Waterville and 28 miles to Belfast.

We love this site so much. I took my 6 year old Granddaughter this year and she learned to kayak and was completely safe at the Water's Edge. The new cabin was a nice addition and the weather was perfect . There would have been plenty of room to move things inside if needed and the tarp cover offered shade as well. Razell and Bentley are so helpful and offered an extra hand with a mechanical issue that came up. Greatly appreciated. We will hope to make this an annual visit.

I loved this spot! I had a lovely quiet serene evening overlooking the Androscoggin. I awoke to the sunrise over the fields behind me. Enjoyed my morning coffee with the birds singing . They also were frolicking in the water. There are trails to walk, kayaks to rent, and the water to wade in.
The campsite was pristine clean. I had my own porta let, a picnic table and fire ring. The hosts are great communicators . I could only stay one night this trip , but now that I have discovered what a magical place it is , I will definitely be back!

We had such a lovely time at Eweturn Farm! The hosts were super communicative and Bentley met us upon arrival to guide us right to our site. This is definitely a glamping situation - Razell and Bentley provide everything from fire pit and charcoal gril to cooking utensils, bed linens, games, and farm fresh eggs! Our dog loved to be right on the water (as did we) and it was great to be in a secluded area so we could really relax. We will definitely be back!

An absolutely incredible stay! John is an affable, knowledgeable, and kind host. You can tell he and his wife truly care about the land and its history. His dedication to conservation warmed our hearts. The campsite is unforgettable— beautifully cared for with excellent amenities (swimming beach, fire pit, fire wood and port-a-potty). We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of songbirds and the sight of monarch butterflies, as the sun rose over the river. We can’t wait to come back.

Terrific! I solo tent camped for one night at the Chickadee corner site and had a great time. The property is just beautiful and well maintained. Jeff and Cathy are lovely hosts and have gone the extra mile to make all kinds of helpful amenities available to guests (firewood, kindling, toiletries, lawn games, citronella candles, bug zappers, you name it). The whole property is gorgeous, and with another tent site plus two little “glamp” cabins on offer (the treehouse and owls nest both look amazing!), I’m already scheming for when and how I can come back with friends to enjoy Porcupine Creek again! Pro trip for visitors, I went to The Pour Farm brewery for a beer + food truck pizza that Thursday night, and then to an immersive theater performance by counter/culture: collective and everything rocked. Awesome area all around for a Maine summer visit.

Beautiful campsite, SO peaceful (listen to the birds, feel the breeze, smell the meadow flowers). Pat met us at the gate and showed us to our site. We rented the canoe and were so glad we took it out on the river, it was gorgeous. Will definitely be back and have already shared this spot with friends!

We loved our two nights at the camp and our peaceful paddle around the pond. Watching the sun rise over the pond was amazing. The hosts were great and incredibly responsive while we were onsite and even helped us jump our car!

Lulu’s 100 Acre Woods is a lovely private retreat spot. Abundant peace and quiet with a beautiful view. Total privacy, no one in sight. My dog thrived being able to run free! There is even a trail behind the cabin leading up to a beautiful vista—a very nice sunrise spot. The road up to the cabin is an adventure; I had no problems in a Subaru Forester, just make sure your vehicle is high enough off the ground and can handle “off roading”. Once you get up to the cabin, you may well not want to leave. Linda has provided everything you might need, and was very welcoming. Directions are clear and she has maps of the property/nearby trails that are easy to follow. One of the best parts is the fresh mountain spring down the road. 💧🩵 As with all camping, prepare for insects. It’s a beautiful area to explore, and just as beautiful a spot to stay in place, unplug, and enjoy the peace. Thank you Linda for having us, and for sharing this amazing spot! Would definitely come again, I can only imagine the beauty of autumn! 🍂 🧡

Weekend Trip to Hidden Brook At Merrifield Farm
This is a very welcoming atmosphere! Everything was thoughtfully planned and very organized! The host, Andrews, is super kind and very accommodating. Surrounded by beautiful nature adventures to explore as well as awesome antiquing and restaurants downtown, it’s truly a perfect spot. The binder was full of everything you need to know! We can’t wait to be back and we’re so thankful we booked!

Weekend Trip to Waters Edge @ Eweturnfarm
We loved spending the weekend here with our dogs! They had room to explore, and enjoyed some swimming! The hosts are very gracious, provided just about anything you could need and some fresh eggs from their farm! Very comfortable, and fun!

Loved camping at Orange gate sites! The location was easy to find using Apple Maps, the gate was easy to access and the included kindling/firewood was helpful!
The grounds are very clearly marked and my campsite was perfectly secluded and peaceful. The handbook was lovely, laying out everything from local recs, check in/out instructions and a handy map of the grounds. I also appreciated the included water bucket and fire blanket for campfire maintenance/safety.
I already booked a return stay later in the season!

I was hesitant about staying somewhere with no running water (I’m very new to camping), but this has been my favourite camp site yet. The breeze was lovely, the view was beautiful. A short drive away (less than 10 minutes), there is a lake you can swim in. There is a port-a-potty in between the sites (you can’t see it or the other sites from your spot at The View, but it is close by) that is well maintained. There is an active rock quarry below the site which made me a little nervous with three small kids, but there were signs and fences (non-obtrusive) to keep everyone away from the edges. I was SO impressed with the care and thought put into the site. I would completely recommend this to anyone contemplating staying here.
