Enjoy nature and the peaceful sounds of the Sebasticook river. With 40 private acres of forest and trails to explore and 3,200 foot frontage on the Sebasticook river, this is an ideal setting for a peaceful offgrid retreat located just 10minutes from town. Excellent bird watching, kayaking, hiking, and fishing with well maintained trails that loop around the property. River views, and trails that wrap around the sides of the property take you on a peaceful stroll around the river bend. This property has a well maintained Amish built outhouse, with provided ecofriendly toilet paper, and wood chips for composting. We have Picnic tables, lawn games, grills, fire pits, kayaks, and more. Excellent cell signal and easy drive up spots. *Kayak rentals and firewood are optional add ons for your stay.*

Enjoy 40 acres of woods to explore on well maintained trails surrounded by the Sebasticook River. Great fishing, bird watching, and hiking with trails along each side of the peninsula. The is the 2nd site on the right with the kayaks. A little down the road from outhouse.. Fire pit and picnic table. River side and car/field camping options available. Great spots for small pop out/ travel trailer. This Site is drive up and park. Shares supplies like rakes and charcoal grills are available for all guests to borrow. Located near the cabins shared resources can be found in the green bin. Please put any borrowed items back near the cabin area where they belong promptly when not using. If you would like to borrow a charcoal grill for the full trip let us know and we can confirm availability. Wood available on site for purchase $20 first day $15 each additional flat rate. There is a wheelbarrow by the outhouse that can be used to gather wood which is located on racks in this common area near the cabins section. Well maintained Compostable toilet/ outhouse * toilet paper on property. (Compostable 1-ply TP included. Do not use non-compotable TP or through anything into the toilets other than the compostable TP. Bring ecofriendly soap/hand sanitizer. Carry in carry out all trash There is a transport station down the street ~8min away.

Dale cabin was built in the 1970’s in the traditional Maine log cabin style. With recent updates it is spacious and features a wood burning stove sink with rain water collection barrel for hand and dish washing, and front porch for watching the sunrise on the river. Enjoy nature and the peaceful sounds of the river with 40+ acres to explore with 3,200 feet frontage on the Sebasticook river. Cabin easily sleeps four+. The area has great cellphone reception. There is a full bed setup and additional cots available, hammock, and a clean and well maintained Outhouse with ecofriendly TP provided near cabin. Cooking supplies. Cooler. 4 Chairs, basic cutlery; dishes for 4. grills charcoal and gas available. All you need for a great off-grid experience. Carry in carry out trash 🗑️ You will need to bring your own drinking water, bedding (sleeping bag recommended), towels, linens and flashlight, queen sheets. Water,Grocery and supplies from the dollar general, or grocer about 10min from the cabin. Many great farm stands local treasures to explore *Firewood can be purchased [bring own paper/kindling] kayak rentals available . Please feel free to inquire. What we provide: 🧻TP is in outhouse extra in green storage bin. Hatchet 🪓 you can harvest your own wood and kindling Gas grill (bring propane!) *Charcoal grill 🍳 pan, and Cooking/grilling utensils. There is no electricity or running water at this cabin. Note: wood burning stove becomes and stays very hot. The top surface can be used to boil water for tea in the kettle we provide. Nothing should ever be left on the stove. River Run is just 10minutes from town with lots of great local treasures and farm stands to explore.

Newly built log cabin crafted with wood mindfully harvested from our land by local artisans with a keen eye for detail. It Sleeps 4 with loft. This cabin features a large covered front porch, fire pit, and picnic table and grills. The cabin has a wood burning stove, solar powered overhead lights, and a charging station for small devices. The area has very clear cell reception. Included supplies: plates, bowls, cups, silverware, kettle, lantern and flashlight. 2 cots in cabin. TP a few games, cards, and general supplies. You will need to bring your own bedding. Sleeping bag recommended a twin sheets for the bed setup on the cot. The other cot is stored under the bed. We are dog friendly. Just let us know in advance if you plan on bringing a dog. Features: 40 acres of woods to explore with carved out trails surrounded by the Sebasticook River. Great fishing, bird watching, hiking and kayaking Horseshoe, cornhole, and other lawn games available upon request. Well maintained Amish built Compostable toilet close to the cabin. Compostable/bamboo TP included as well as natural soap ect. Carry in carry out all trash (there is a transfer /recycling center down the street from the cabins ~8min)

This was a beautiful spot on the river in an amazing rustic cabin. Jennifer was a very accommodating host. We will definitely be back in the future.

River Run Cove Site
What a gorgeous site this is! Choose between two awesome cabins or campsites. You cannot go wrong with any of them. Dale Cabin is well equipped with a stocked kitchen, desk, stove, and bed. I really loved having a fire by the water. My dog loved the trip too!

The Dale cabin was the last site on the property. It was private, quiet, and had beautiful views of the River. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful cabin on quiet river

Celeste off-grid River cabin dog+
This is a super nice cabin and location. It appears to be handmade with a great deal of care. The cabin is made out of whole logs that are well preserved and caulked. There were such nice touches, such as door handles crafted out of tree limbs, and a solid woodstove with a supply of dry firewood. The host had thoughtfully left flashlights, soap, blankets, pillows, and more. And the battery / solar system powers a colored LED light that our kids loved. And it is a very quiet spot on the river with mature forest all around it and trails for kids to explore. Our only suggestion would be around mapping and signage. During our visit, we had to arrive late. We attempted to use the GPS coordinates provided in the ad and align them with the written directions but discovered that they sent us to a different location on the opposite side of the river. A friendly family came out of their house and corrected our location. We also had a little difficulty finding the correct dirt road. We reached out to the host, and she was very responsive, gave her number, and guided us the rest of the way. Apparently, a white arrow sign had fallen down and she was working to establish an address for the property, so people did not need to rely on GPS or written directions. We thought we’d share this story just as a reminder, it is sometimes best to avoid relying on GPS only, but in no way to detract from the high quality of this property.

A nice quiet spot by the river. Bald eagles and egrets were around while we were there. Great location, close to larger towns but out of the way.
