This farm is unique in that it was cleared and stripped of its topsoil and its fill was sold off to the state. What was left behind was a pond and some poor farmland. "The Twenty" is a neat campsite right on the Little Wolf River. This land has been in my family for generations. My dad tells stories of fishing the holes while they made hay when he was a kid. Definitely fishing opportunities, as well as floating down the river (tube, canoe, kayak, sup). There's a nice swimming hole right out from the campsite.
The other property is on my pasture-based farm. It's a few miles from the Little Wolf. There is the "FarmStay" Camper, as well as a couple campsites nestled in the woods with a great views of the pastures, woods, and wetlands.
We've also recently added a pond that's able to be used by our guests to swim in!
There are 100+ acres that can explored on this 100% pasture-based beef operation. We're working on improving the trails. It's beautiful out there!

We have a small herd of dairy cows, 50 dairy/meat goats, a horse named Willow and mule named Molly, a couple pigs or chickens in the summer, lots of cats. We specialize in goats for meat. I'm pretty sure this was the most peaceful camping experience I've had. The lake is beautiful, the site is level and easy to back into (thanks to Rick waving me in and then jumping into my Jeep to finish the last little bit!), and very peaceful. The property is situated on a dead end street so not alot of traffic. Rick and Lynn are super friendly and accommodating. Rick checked on me a couple times to make sure I had everything I needed and offered a couple places to eat but the rest of the time I was left to my privacy. Even though their house is right there you still feel like you're completely alone. My only visitor was caretaker, Duffy, their friendly collie (who has a serious cheese addiction!). Duffy routinely checked on me (I suspect for the aforementioned cheese habit) and snoozed under my trailer. I asked for an early check in time and Rick told me to come anytime and upon check out there was no pressure to leave at check out as they had no one booked for that day. However, had I not left at check out time I never would've left!! I will definitely be back!

I thoroughly enjoyed at Leon's Campground. He was kind enough to reach out by phone shortly after booking to explain in great detail how to get to the site, which was well marked.
I had site 1 that sat on top of the hill, overlooking Lake Winnebago, and the sunsets were stunning! Also got to watch a storm roll in from the West my first night, which was a welcome bonus.
Firewood was provided and shortly after getting the fire going, we had a doe come visit our site as it strolled on past.
I know, we're camping but have to point out how clean, well manicured, and freshly mowed the site was with thick grass. Much better than the dirty sites I'm accustomed to when camping. Was able to hangout on the ground with my dog and we stayed relatively clean due to the thick turf.
Best part, hardly any bugs! Since the campground is on a hill, there's usually a steady breeze keeping the mosquitoes at bay. Only encountered bugs for a couple hours one evening when the wind died down but still no mosquitoes.
I thought about not leaving a review to keep this gem hidden but Leon deserved a great review. I don't get out to camp as much as I'd like but when I do get out, I'll be checking this one again!

Fantastic hosts and meticulously maintained property! We stayed 3 nights in our class C motorhome. A bonus is the on-site ice cream shop with farm to tables eats, gourmet honey, hand crafted salsa and other items. We enjoyed very quiet nights, with only the sound of crickets.

We loved tent camping on Josh and Brenda’s land! They are so kind and helpful, they were flexible in arranging check in. The fresh eggs were a nice and generous surprise! The campsites sites are beautiful, clean and well maintained right along the river. Site 1 is closest to the porta potty, site 2 is in the middle and site 3 is on the other side. There are wood fences separating the sites for privacy which helps but the sites are pretty close together. They have 2 awesome docks we used for fishing and sunbathing! The property is close to the highway so there is road noise which is something I wish I would’ve known. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend!

We have tent camped here a couple times before, always a nice time. With the changing weather we decided to rent the tiny house instead, and might I add, it did not disappoint. Super cute cabin with everything you need to cook inside or out. The loft bed was very cool and enjoyed a nice selection of games and reading material. A perfect place for small families to disappear for awhile and get that up north experience.

This was a beautiful campsite, and the other campers were incredibly friendly and helpful. A huge plus was the complete absence of ticks. I was also grateful to the proprietor for letting me know about some alternative sites that were easier to access. The firewood is a great value, but be sure to bring cash.
We had a little trouble finding our site, but that was largely due perhaps to inexperience than any issue with the campground itself.
The sounds were a mixed experience. Hearing the frogs at night was genuinely magical and one of the highlights of the stay. The rooster was a bit more challenging. From what I could tell, it sounded like a younger rooster still finding its voice, but it crowed frequently and often for extended periods throughout the day. Eventually, I found myself reaching for an Excedrin. While the animal noise may not bother everyone, sound sensitive campers may want to keep it in mind.
Overall, we had a good stay and appreciated both the natural beauty of the property and the space
