There's 2 properties, both beautiful and special. "The Twenty" is a neat campsite right on the Little Wolf River. This land has been in my family for generations. My dad tells stories of fishing the holes while they made hay when he was a kid. Definitely fishing opportunities, as well as floating down the river (tube, canoe, kayak, sup). There's a nice swimming hole right out from the campsite. The other property is on my pasture-based farm. It's a few miles from the Little Wolf. CAMPSITE IS LOCATED IN THE ORCHARD. Please do not enter the main farm driveway. If you are not looking at Apple trees you are in the wrong place. Pets need to be on a leash and cleaned up after. Please do not leave them out of the orchard. My grandfather purchased the property and everything you can see 360° around you in 1953. The orchard was started in 1962 and the large trees date back to that time and still produce apples. My dad took over in 1985 and it has been part of my life ever since. After my dads passing in 2017 the property fell to me. At it's peak there were 85 trees that produced 500 bushels of apples per season. All hand pruned, sprayed and picked. We sold them 5 days a week at local farmers markets. Currently, about two dozen trees are maintained, the rest feed the local wildlife. An orchard is a year round commitment. The site is a nice little gem of a property. The camping site offers two ways into the property so setting up on either side is good. 30 foot rig should make it. There is a public boat landing / Park (swings, bathroom, park benches) down the property path, across street, 500 yards. The actual camp site comes in two flavors, one perfect for myself and my dog everything right there already setup, with outdoor rug, picnic bench, bench, log bench, and loads of firewood you will have to process. One bigger area that could accommodate 6-8 that is just a massive expansion of the small space. Site is fairly heavily wooded. There are two local properties, one 100yds, one 300 yards, bordering the property. This site is primitive but not remote. Pet friendly, no road traffic or people traffic to distract pets. Plenty for my puppy to explore when he’s not sleeping in the sun. The property is clean, undergrowth is perfect, neighbors must be seasonal or weekenders, just an overall sweet piece of land begging for a cabin. I believe the owner allows winter camping at this site as well (big plus for my fellow insane campers). Owner was friendly, and responsive (5 star).

Lakeside Cozy Camp was exactly as describe, flat, easy to access, and you get the whole acre to yourself. We tent camped in the back of my pickup, but the ground would have been comfortable too since it’s mostly sand. We had a small fire, walked around the property, and loved being right across from the lake, even walking out on the ice to chat with ice fishermen. Very quiet, private, and pet-friendly, with park bathrooms conveniently across the street, perfect for a simple camping spot in nature.

Above and beyond! That's how Brenda and her family role. They are the most genuinely kind and caring people. They truly treat you like family. I took my 2 kiddos (ages 8 and 9) and our dog, for a fall camping adventure. The property is absolutely beautiful. Their are 3 campsites right on the river. We happened to be the only people there, so we had it to ourselves! But, would be a perfect spot if you have a larger group to book all 3 sites together. Brenda and her family truly made us feel like family. We had a couple bumps in the road- it was my first time taking my kids camping by myself, but they made me feel like I had a safety net, in case anything happened. I felt completely safe and it put my mind at ease. My daughter said if she could rate her stay, she'd give it "450 trillion out of 5 stars". My son said, the experience was, "one for the books"- meaning he had so much fun, he can't stop talking about it. :) Aside from the top notch host, they offer things to do, like kayaking and fishing. They will even drive you to a place to start and you'll finish at your campsite. They have 2 docks right on the river, which offer gorgeous views of sunset and sunrise. Also, just to bask in the peacefulness surrounding you. I could go on and on about how amazing our experience was... but you should check it out for yourself! We can't wait to go again!! We're already planning our next adventure there!

Weekend Trip to Waupaca River Retreat

Fishing off the dock, kayaking the river, getting to meet some of Brenda and Josh's "pets" (a stud horse and the sweetest little goat!) whilst stoking a fire was the perfect weekend escape. Yes, the train horns do occur, but we thought they were funny! Seeing a flock of 50 Sandhill Cranes all take off at once was a speechless moment along with watching changing leaves gently fall onto the river 🍂🛶. Plenty of firewood and kindling on site as well as all the water and eggs you could chug! Brenda was thoughtfully communicating throughout brooking process and a gracious host during our stay. We can't wait to come back with some friends! Can't recommend enough for fellow camping sweethearts and nature-loving families. 👏🤗

We were coming in late in the day and late in the season and Western was extremely quick with response time and helping us pick a site. We only stayed over night but the grounds were well kept and the bathrooms and showers were clean and well kept as well.

Great location with a very thoughtful host! Wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the lake. The site is spacious and easy to get into. There are other folks and homes nearby, but there is plenty of privacy.

This was a perfect little spot to pitch a tent in exactly the area I was looking for. Easy to find and beautiful surroundings. Be prepared to hear lots of wildlife at night!

We loved camping on Leon's land. It is the perfect spot for camping with dogs. Secluded, plenty of space and a great lake view. Very clean, plenty off firewood - great host!

We pulled in with a little vintage trailer, young lady that was on duty that night took care of us put us in our spot brought us wood. She was quite Pleasant and efficient. The amenities were clean and well taken care of, we understand new management is just taking over and it is making changes and we like the Direction the park is going in. We will definitely stay here again if we are in this area again.

This is a large hilltop site with an open sky. Four-wheel drive recommended if vehicle needed.

Amazing, private place place to camp. Adam and Jackie are super friendly and made sure to check in on us once in awhile (not too much, just enough). They are super dog friendly and my dogs loved running around off leash. The property is beautiful as well as the surrounding lakes and towns.

Weekend Trip to Clear Water Camp

Parked our camper van in the beautiful, pond-side Site 6 and loved the seclusion, peace, and spaciousness. The walking trail that is cut through the forest is gorgeous, and the shared clubhouse is an awesome place to hang out, eat, play games, and relax! The garage door bug screen is such a great idea and allows fresh air in while you enjoy the space. Owners are warm and personable, and clearly care about the spaces provided and their guests. Weekend Trip to Clear Water Camp

This was my first experience booking a Hipcamp site and it won't be my last. With Clearwater Camp's campsites located in varied topography, it would make it a different experience each time. Campsites were easy to find and were far enough from each other to feel like you were really out in the wild. But the rec center near the front of camp provided a nice spot to visit with other campers, create some art, and have a bite to eat. The camp hosts were extremely friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. Combined with wonderful weather, we had a wonderful camping experience at Clearwater Camp!
