Beautiful and thoughtful hosts!
We had the most wonderful camping trip at Good Trouble Grove in Green Lake, Wisconsin. From the moment we arrived, Jorg and his wife made us feel completely welcome. They even stayed up late to greet us and show us to our spot, which set the tone for the whole stay, warm, thoughtful, and hospitable.
The property itself is such a gem. There are only a few campsites on the farm, which makes it feel quiet, private, and truly immersed in nature. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, with firewood available to purchase. There’s an outhouse and even a rustic little shower, which added to the charm. They also had some basic cooking utensils available, which made campfire cooking much easier. We loved how it balanced rustic simplicity with thoughtful conveniences.
What made it even more special were the little touches: fresh eggs available right on the farm, animals nearby, and beautiful, picturesque surroundings. Jorg and his wife also gave us great tips about the area, we went paddle boarding at Green Lake, which was just perfect. Princeton is only a short drive away too, and we had an incredible brunch at Horseradish (the sandwiches were unbelievable).
All in all, Good Trouble Grove is a rare find. It’s the perfect place to unwind, connect with nature, and feel completely cared for by the kindest hosts. We couldn’t recommend it more!
