This property is currently in development. It offers tranquility, with occasional visits from deer. River access is just a short distance away, providing opportunities for fishing, sunbathing, or floating along the Cowlitz River.
Just follow the pink flagging from our "Black Tail River Trail" sign at the south end of the grounds along the mowed path into the woods to the river. Approx 750' from the sign. *please note: Every year the beach changes due to the dam's releasing water in the winter/spring and weather related flooding. Sometimes our beach is large or small. Access to beach changes as well.
Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock. A day trip to Mt St Helens is very possible.
Two full hookup sites are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well.
Horses are welcome on the property, as are leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals!
Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available.
We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits in our fire pits during burn bans. We also have a community fire pit for our dry campers (or large groups) called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area. We follow the Cowlitz County burn ban, July 15-Sept 30. Unless fire danger is high, at which point we still follow Cowlitz wood fire bans.
Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed ONLY for transport of gear to/from the river or for those with mobile disabilities. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly.

No fireworks allowed. During Independence day celebrations, our neighbors partake and it can be loud here.

1. We're sure a lot of Hipcampers look for seclusion and peace and quiet, but that's not what you'll get at our park. Although our sites are spacious, we're located along busy State Highway 14 and there's also a train coming through at all hours of the day and night (far more often than we like). Light sleepers, please ask our host for complimentary earplugs or bring your own.
2. We're a rural park with gravel roads, grass, weeds, and trees and not a fancy RV Park with immaculate grounds and manicured lawns. Sorry.

“The Lazy C; Where Doing Nothing is OK" is a rustic but modern private home located on 20 beautiful acres near Wauconda, WA. Nestled between Tonasket and Republic, we welcome visitors to our beautiful and well appointed mini RV Park. We have two 50 amp full hook up sites as well as a third site that welcomes tent campers too. The third site has 30 amps and water, with sewer available as an "Extra" for RVs that want a full hookup. It also has our "Soon to be famous" Beach Outhouse. We love the area and are eager to share the hidden gems that abound here. We will be happy to recommend the finest day drives in the region as well as other adventure advice for our area.
The Lazy C does not have cell service. The closest cell service can be obtained 20 miles away in either the town of Tonasket or Republic.
That said, wi-fi calling on most cell phones work just fine.

They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. Enter the property on private dirt road connected to Hastings Ave and you may park anywhere in the upper field immediately on left when you enter the driveway. There is a locked shed that houses the well pump, and you can use the water spigot and hose. Water is potable lab tested.

Main camp site is the “upper field” where there is room for parking and power/water connections. This is conveniently level with the main road and flat. There is “lower field” that is a trimmed grass field right corner next to the driveway, Finally the “back field” is large, grass field and a fire ring across the northern half of the property. The back field has an unused septic system underground, so we leave the grass and vegetation longer here to attract wildlife and preserve the infrastructure for potential future use. No vehicles allowed in back field.
In the middle of the property is a grove of pine and cedar trees with thick, native salal bushes and rhododendrons crisscrossed with paths created by humans and the local deer population.
Driveway is shared by neighboring property so wave and smile if our neighbors walk or drive out to the main road, and please be respectful of their property line and follow the local culture of 'live and let live'.

Hello! We have one RV space for rent for short stays. It sits at the end of our 1 acre property and looks over a beautiful flower farm. The pull through RV space is on asphalt and has a 50amp hookup and water hookup, but no dump.
Our property is nestled in between a flower farm, blueberry farm and dairy farm, and backs-up to the Skykomish River. You get the out of town feeling while only being about 10min drive to downtown Monroe.
I must note, besides the RV space, the rest of our property is for private use only.

You may surprised at how loud peace and quiet can be. Whether it's the prehistoric sound of sandhill cranes, a serenade of coyotes, elk talking, hoots of great horned owls or a simple chorus of frogs and crickets; if you enjoy being immersed in the sounds of nature then come and enjoy. "The Refuge" abuts Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge so be sure to bring your binoculars or spotting scope. Elk, sandhills, coyotes and deer are frequent visitors to the property, bear and bobcats occasionally.
If you just can't sit still and relax, we are only 16 miles from BZ Corners and the white water opportunities of the Big White Salmon River, 12 miles from the Leidl boat ramp on the Klickitat River and 16 miles from the town of Trout Lake and all the recreation opportunities to be found in the Gifford Pinchot.
If it wasn't for the view (and it is awesome!), the site would be rather unimpressive. It's level gravel driveway with water, a 50/20 RV hookup and dump that sits between an unoccupied house and large shop that we may occasionally visit. A fire pit is available. Need leeway on party size, check in time or something else...message me and we'll see what we can do.
Reality Check
Exhaust brakes. This is timber country; during the week early morning truck traffic can be expected. Traffic is always very light, but it only takes one exhaust brake at 4:00 am to remind me of the crazy hours loggers work.
Mosquitos. Conboy Lake is really a great big seasonal marsh and the mozzies can be a moderate annoyance at times. As a seasoned camper, I would rate them only slightly above a "run of the mill" nuisance even during peak times .
Let it shine! The hook up site is exposed. Mid August, 4:00 pm, 100 degrees out...you'll want an awning or AC. Consider "The Oaks" under add-ons as an option, or message me to discuss.
Darned hosts. We're your nearest neighbors, about a 1000 yards away, mostly obscured but visible. We're pretty quite, but sounds of life may occasionally drift your way. Sometimes mowing has to done and the dog always barks briefly at UPS or when we come home. If we interrupt your illusion of seclusion it will only be briefly.
No trash service. Pack it in, pack it out. Thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The mountain views were breathtaking, and the campsite was so private, peaceful, and cozy. It was the perfect place to relax and make family memories. Greg was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, responsive, and incredibly accommodating with all of our requests, which made our stay even better. It's clear he genuinely cares about his guests having a great experience. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with amazing scenery, this is the place. We can't recommend this campsite enough!

I enjoyed my stay at this lovely quiet place. My site was along side a little stream with lots of big trees around and nature to look out. The host was easy to communicate with, quick to respond and extremely kind. The property is immaculate and pristinely kept up. It is close to the beach and trail system at nearby Crescent Beach where I hiked one day. I would definitely stay here again.

Such a beautiful place to stay! The hosts Bryan and Colleen we're so welcoming and friendly and the campsites were meticulous and level with beautiful views. It so peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed walking around the property and listening to birds and watching the deer. The gravel road in was easy to maneuver. If you're looking to escape and relax , this is the place to go! Thank you so much , Bryan and Colleen for your hospitality and sharing your wonderful place with us! 😊

Loved our stay! Clean and peaceful! Expansive area for the kids to hang out. It rained most of the time but luckily we had the yurt which allowed for some fun times playing pool with teens. Plus the cabana was really helpful for us to play card games under. Definitely coming back!

It was quiet and the view of the flower field was beautiful! The water came out of the spigot looking a little rusty, but luckily we didn’t need it anyways. Our dogs enjoyed the scenic walks and new smells. It was close enough that we could drive into town. I’d definitely go back!

We camped our van here while my partner’s parents were visiting from out of state. It was a lovely peaceful spot and perfect place to spend the mornings and come back to in the evenings. There wasn’t anyone camped at the adjacent site. The sites are pretty close together and the resident RV is on site, just things to consider! Really good (and pricey) oysters nearby.

We stopped for one night at this private site near Chelan on our drive home and it ended up being a total surprise highlight of the trip.
The site has one 50-amp hookup and several 30-amp too. Kerry and Natasha were incredibly generous hosts. Kerry happened to have some time and gave us a grand tour of the property. The guy is clearly a collector with a real love for old American iron.
It was just such a great note to end our summer road trip on, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a remote stopover with hosts who are happy to chat and show you around.

This was a perfect camping spot for our visit to Mount St Helens. There were several camp spots on the property and nice separation. We stayed in Rabbit Run. There are two full hookups with 30 amp. The directions sent to our site were great! Not long after we arrived, we were greeted by Greg who welcomed us to the property. He showed me where the walk was to the river and offered us wood to purchase. He also told us about a great burger spot at the Chevron station in Lexington next to the hardware store. We went there for dinner after our long day at Mount St Helens. The walk to the river was nice and the river itself is a pretty spot. However, there is a sand embankment you need to traverse to get down to the river. Just be careful. It was a beautiful beach area! Tammy (Tyler's sister) is quick to respond to questions. It's a family oriented business.

Wow! My new favorite Hipcamp. Campsite #1 was pristine, and Richard has thought of everything. It’s right on the calm river in such a peaceful setting, with amenities you don’t normally get at a site with this much privacy. Hookups, WiFi, fire pit for cooking, a very clean porta-potty. We loved the wide-open space & it’s easy to see how much thought & love the Host has put into this spot. Doggie bags were even provided! Zero issues—could not recommend this spot more.

It's a gorgeous property, I'm glad I stayed, very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend the taco truck just down the road, it's walkable from the campground via a path in the back.

Where to go
Greater Seattle
Straddling the Puget Sound, this region includes Washington's biggest city--Seattle--and the area around it. While urban adventure takes center stage in this populated region, there are also plenty of spots to commune with nature, and even if you're based in Seattle, you'll have easy access to numerous Washington state parks.
The Washington Coast and Islands
If you want gorgeous Pacific Coast scenery, ancient forests, and whale watching to feature in your next camping trip, the Washington Coast, the Olympic Peninsula, and the state's many islands are just the ticket. Here you’ll find Olympic National Forest and its ancient Hoh Rainforest, plus plenty of small Coastal towns, such as charming Port Angeles and Port Townsend.
Northern Washington
This remote section of the state is characterized by old-growth forests, alpine lakes, and ancient glaciers. It’s also the site of North Cascades National Park, an enormous expanse of wilderness that offers mile upon mile of hiking trails and excellent campground and backcountry options for campers.
Central and Eastern Washington
With a mix of towering mountains, pristine forests, arid prairies, and plenty of cute small towns, Washington's central and eastern stretches offer some of the best camping and outdoor recreation areas in the state. Washington's second-largest city, Spokane, is located in the region, as is the Bavaria-inspired town of Leavenworth, full of German restaurants, beer gardens, and plenty of faux-world kitsch in this region.
Southern Washington
The southern part of the state is known for beautiful scenery, snow-capped peaks, and excellent wine. On the Oregon border, the Columbia River Gorge is full of beautiful spots for hikers--come in the spring and you'll be rewarded with spectacular flurries of wildflowers. The region also boasts a few world-class wineries of its own, with more to be found further north and east in Walla Walla and Yakima. The area is also home to Mount Adams, Mount Rainier and its surrounding national park, and Mount Saint Helens, which famously erupted back in 1980.
