Site #2 This site is located on a side channel which flows April-July but can run very low to dry during Aug- Sept. The site is only 200 hundred feet from the main channel of the river which runs year round. This campsite is designed for RV and tent campers. A cedar pavilion with a raised floor has been added to provide shelter from the sun or the occasional rain shower. There is a 30 amp power hookup with water, Wi-Fi and a dedicated Sanikan for the site. A charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table, Adirondack chairs and festive lighting is also provided. Ground cover is pea gravel and sand. The site can accommodate an additional RV for $45 (30 amp power water and WiFi included). Part of campings allure is leaving our sheltered lifestyle to explore and recreate with nature. With wilderness comes wildlife. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some predatory species such as eagles and mountain lions. Although a mountain lion sighting would be considered rare, it is not beyond the realm of possibility. Guests are encouraged to visit the WDFW website for information on what to do in the event of an encounter.
