iWelcome to Dicks Last Resort on the River. Voted “ Best Campsite in Washington State Runner Up” 2022 and 2023. Months of Operation: May thru September.. Each site has power,, water, wifi and its” own Sanikan Porta potty. Campsites are about 100 yards apart (football field). So you can expect a level of privacy. Also each site has an additional power water hook up if you want to drag another family with you this vacation. So far so good? Please read on and don’t forget to read some reviews. .Our 16 acre private riverfront property is located on the Dungeness River just outside the city of Sequim in Clallam County on the Olympic Peninsula. There are just two very large campsites. Each site can accommodate two RV’s or just a bunch of tents. You will have full access to the parcel allowing you to explore or just hang out at the river. We are pet friendly. Well behaved dogs can be off leash this vacation. The nearest towns are Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., Just minutes from Sequim you’ll find restaurants, wineries and grocery stores. The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails. PLEASE NOTE, Both sites are equipped with an additional RV parking spot right on the river with 30 amp power and Wifi for an additional $45.00 per night. PLEASE ADD THIS AS AN EXTRA AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. Summer annual events include the Lavender Festival and Irrigation Festival."

Site #1. Feet from the River. Designed for RV enthusiasts and tent campers alike, this pull thru site includes 50 amp power (50 amp to 30 amp adapter is provided), and 2 - 15 amp duplex outlets, Water, Wi-Fi and a Sani-Kan dedicated for that site. .The site also feature's Adirondack chairs, custom wood/charcoal grill, prep table, picnic table, festive lighting and a wood deck. Ground cover is predominately pea gravel and sand. This site is equipped with an additional RV parking spot right on the river with 30 amp power water and Wifi for an additional $45.00 per night. Reserve in the “extras” section at checkout.. Part of campings allure is leaving our sheltered lifestyle to explore and recreate with nature. With wilderness comes wildlife. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some predatory species such as eagles and mountain lions. Although a mountain lion sighting would be a rare event, it would not be beyond the realm of possibility. Guests are encouraged to visit the WDFW website to educate themselves in the event of an encounter.

Site #2 This site is located on a side channel which flows April-July but can run very low to dry during Aug- Sept. The site is only a couple hundred feet from the main channel of the river which runs year round. This campsite is designed for RV and tent campers. A cedar pavilion with a raised floor has been added to provide shelter from the sun or the occasional rain shower. There is a 30 amp power hookup with water, Wi-Fi and a dedicated Sanikan for the site. A charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table, Adirondack chairs and festive lighting is also provided. Ground cover is pea gravel and sand. The site can accommodate an additional RV for $45 (30 amp power water and WiFi included). Part of campings allure is leaving our sheltered lifestyle to explore and recreate with nature. With wilderness comes wildlife. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some predatory species such as eagles and mountain lions. Although a mountain lion sighting would be considered rare, it is not beyond the realm of possibility. Guests are encouraged to visit the WDFW website for information on what to do in the event of an encounter.

This was our second time at Dicks, can't wait to go again. We have stayed at both campsites, and number #2 is superior! We just have a campervan, so the Pavillion was very nice since it rained during our stay. Having a self serve wood station was very handy. I would recommend to any size or style camping.

Campsite 1 is the most beautiful site we have stayed at in our three years of camping around the Puget Sound. Richard takes great care of this property and is always improving it. Using the dump station at the Sequim Chevron was easy and swift. We love Dick's Last Resort and have already reserved our spot for 2027.

I knew this was going to be a great campsite from the listing pictures, but this place blew way past my expectations. My husband was wowed by how lovely it was and all the amenities and privacy it offered. The place is absolutely stunning and very peaceful. The river was rushing by-- it was beautiful! It was a very nice sound to listen to all night! The site itself is kept super clean by the owner. I could tell he had washed the site---the picnic tables, the food prep table, etc. and raked the pea gravel. The site has plenty of room to park 2 campers I believe (not sure of size, but ours was a 22 ft travel trailer and a 1500 pickup truck. Had plenty of room to park it. Then there are two tent sites with fresh wood chips. He also has a nice little raised deck in the sun with some chairs. There is water, electric, and a porta-potty as well as some nice string lights over the space with a nice firepit. Richard, the owner, does a wonderful job making this site clean and welcoming. This location is a gem that we will return to time and again!

WOW, where to start...We stayed at Spot #2. It was AMAZING. Directions were easy, communication was easy. Only disappointment is that we cannot get the spot again this summer. Ha. 🙂 We have an animal reactive doggie (barking like crazy), so it's hard to find camping spots. The area was so spacious that even if there was a dog at spot #1, we just kept his long leash staked to where he couldnt look down to the other spot. We loved the area down by the fire pit, so peaceful and listening to the birds and the water was very nice. Sani-can was nice to have also. The owners take pride in these spots, we can tell!! The covered area was nice to have also, in case of inclement weather, or extra hot weather. We want to definitely return some day.

This is one of the best if not best places we have ever camped! The sites (2) are well situated and impeccably maintained! Wooded, sunny, great trails, water - it is all awesome. Rick and Victoria were so friendly! There are also great hiking trails right from site. We will be back as often as possible!!

Great spot, you can’t beat the privacy with a calm stream access for the dogs and kids. Immaculately clean, starlink for those who use it, wood stove, pristine manicured covered area. Our second stay and hope for more.

This was such a lovely and well taken care of campground. The little gazebo that has been built there was wonderful and the property was beautiful, with a little walking trails and a nice river right next to the campsite. There is plenty of space for pets to roam around and the campsite feels nice and secluded. We would definitely go back!

This is a true gem! You clearly take pride in your offerings and it ALL shows. The site was impeccable, yard lights, concrete patio & XL picnic table was a great surprise!! Such a lovely view of the river right outside our trailer windows. As other reviewers have mentioned, I've never seen a cleaner portapotty. Made it very easy to extend your stay by extending your black tank storage capacity. Just as pictured. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing! Saw bald eagles, herons, gulls, and deer. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!

Awesome spot! Well thought out - lots of space between sites so it’s very private and tons of space to spread out. I also appreciate that we had our own bathroom for our site that was super clean. The river was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing deer and eagles. I would most definitely return

The best camping site we have been to by far. Rich has the most beautiful land and has thought of everything anyone may need for a leisurely camping experience. It was so clean and beautiful and private. So many trails, several smaller streams connecting to or from the main river. There's a little bridge and so much more. He obviously is in love with the land and with sharing it. I mean the gravel was raked when we got there. He provides a staked down line for our dog to be able to roam securely. The water and electricity were great and the internet provided me with the ability to send and receive text and emails for work. The port a potty’s were clean and even smelled good. I could go on and on and we will definitely be back

Such a wonderful place! Very clean, beautiful river, treed, and has everything you could need. Might I say that the Saniclean was nearly immaculate??? It was so nice to be able to sit by the river with a big campfire with friends. It was a perfect getaway.

Such a lovely spot just steps from the relaxing river. Me and my group enjoyed are evening at site #1! There is so much space available to roam and get cozy during your time outdoors. There are also rocked off areas in the river to make for an easy soak sesh. We utilized the chairs, picnic table, and large outdoor counter to make a group meal! There was also a convenient plug in as well as a water spout. I look forward to coming back to Dick’s Last Resort in the future! ⛺️

Can’t say enough good things about Dicks Last Resort. This was our 5th stay here, and we never tire of it. We are fortunate to live on some property outside of our town, and this is the only place we camp that is as quiet and private as our own backyard. Dick takes such great care of his property, it shows as soon as you pull in. We’ll be back again next year for sure!

This was our second trip to Dick’s Last Resort (prior stay June 2024). We loved it just as much the second time. Plenty of space/privacy. The picnic shelter with electric hook up is great for us since we have a small pop up and do all our cooking outside. Access to potable water and the port-a-potty are also essential. The kids love playing and exploring around camp. We discovered a nice spot to pick blackberries by the river this time:) We also appreciate the proximity to Sequim and we did the Olympic Game Farm for fun this go-round. Thanks Richard!

This camping site is so clean from the grounds to the saniKan!! I was a little nervous about the saniKan but it was so clean!! Richard was accommodating and quick to respond. The natural springs and creek were such a delight and watching all the little fish while sitting on the bridge. The river and trails were fun to explore. I even took a nice crisp swim in the river. Close enough to run to town if need be and far enough to feel submerged in nature. After posting pics on Facebook all of our friends and family are wanting to know where this gem is at!! We will be back and I’m sure with friends and family!! Thank you so much for the wonderful memories!!

We stayed at campsite 2 with a class A and a pop up for three nights. 4 adults and three young teens. This is now my happy place. No one had a complaint. The worst thing was that bees hang out at the gazebo nonstop but no one got stung. The little branch of the river that flows in front of this site was still moving slightly. I would buy this spot if I could! It’s amazing. I do recommend planning ahead for what you’ll do with trash if you have a group as you will have to pack it out. The owner is quick to respond to questions. They keep their property immaculate (including the sani-can). Don’t pass up the chance to stay here!

This was our third visit to Richard's campsite, and all three times our group has booked both site 1 and 2. It is a true gem that is meticulously cared for. Perfect for large groups with plenty of space for activities. Hands down our favorite spot.
