Welcome to a pet- and family-friendly campground nestled in the scenic charm of Port Townsend, Washington. Ideally located just a short walk from Fort Worden, the beach, and an extensive network of lush, forested trails, this campground offers the perfect balance of nature, relaxation, and outdoor adventure. Operated by the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Association—a dedicated non-profit organization—this campground plays an important role in supporting the local community. Every stay directly contributes to the upkeep of the fairgrounds and helps fund year-round events, including the much-loved annual Jefferson County Fair, celebrating local agriculture, arts, and culture. With over 50 thoughtfully designed campsites, guests can choose from a variety of options to suit their needs, including full hook-up, partial hook-up, and primitive sites. Open year-round, the campground provides an affordable and comfortable base for families, pet owners, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore Port Townsend and the breathtaking Olympic Peninsula. Recent updates to the campground layout have created more spacious and comfortable site arrangements, with expanded areas and improved spacing between select sites—enhancing both privacy and convenience for guests. Please note that cell service in the area is limited, so we recommend checking availability and reserving your site in advance. Even if a site appears vacant upon arrival, it may already be reserved for another guest. Whether you're here for a peaceful retreat, a family getaway, or a basecamp for adventure, we hope you enjoy your stay and appreciate your support in helping sustain this vibrant community space.

Just a quick easy quiet stop to explore from if that’s your plan. Close to everything. I just stopped to sleep but hookups convenient and I really appreciated the hot clean showers being available at no extra cost. I would stay again for the same reasons.

I So appreciate the healthy air in the restroom! There were no air fresheners automatically spraying toxic chemicals! This is such a great place to stay. It's a low key well organized basic campground that offers flush toilets, clean showers, electric and water hookups and septic dumping. The proximity to stores, restaurants and recreational options is perfect, far enough away to be peaceful yet close enough to easily get to whatever you want. And finally, the hosts were top notch, such pleasant people who were doing good work.

Nothing fancy, but the site is relatively level, the showers are hot, it’s quiet, and the price is cheaper than anything equivalent in town. (Seriously, the showers!) clean, friendly and responsive hosts, safe, close to ALL the things. We spent so much time hiking, going to the beach, shopping, this was the perfect place to rest and recharge in between. My only complaint is that the road on the way is quite narrow due to the bike lane, but that’s the main road. It’s actually very easy to maneuver once you’re at the fairgrounds themselves. Will stay again!

This campsite is well maintained. It was quiet and exactly what we needed. The camp host was kind and helpful. There are bathrooms with showers that had hot water! My only complaint is that check in was confusing as it was unclear which site we were supposed to go to. Overall a great site and we will return in the future.

The campground was great! I stayed in my SUV in a spot along the fence with trees and it was lovely. The campground in general wasn’t crowded, there were friendly people, the bathroom was clean and there is a shower, and it’s really close to Fort Worden where I was spending time for the weekend. My site had a picnic table which I liked. I didn’t really know what to expect but it was better than I thought- It was perfect for my needs!
