There is something for everyone from children to seniors, from outdoor adventurers, to history buffs, arts and entertainment seekers, bargain shoppers and local gourmet food and drink lovers. At days end you can go to concerts or “clubbing” in town or return to Billyville and enjoy the quiet, peaceful ambiance of a campfire under a starlit sky. Check-Ins and Arrival Instructions: Check-ins on weekdays are dependent on my work schedule. If this is your first time at Billyville, I need to be on property to guide you into your site. Please reach out before your stay so we can coordinate. If I am off on that day, check-in is after 1pm. If I am working, it will be after 5pm and occasionally after 7. I am currently testing out some procedures to allow self check-in. We'll see how that pans out. Anyway, to get to Billyville: Turn onto Bells Lane. (Dirt Road). You'll see a white fence on your left down the lane about .2 miles. Just after the fence, you'll see a red sign at the beginning of a rope fence. Turn off Bells Lane just after the sign and follow the fence, keeping it on you left. We do not have an on-site sewage dump station. All RVs, trailers, and campers must be completely self-contained. Discharging greywater or blackwater onto the ground is strictly prohibited by state law. The nearest public RV dump station is available for a $10 fee at Lake Anna State Park (approx. 30 minutes away), or at some major commercial travel plazas along the I-95 and I-81 corridors.

116 acres of forrest, hills and dells. Miles of hiking trails marked and well maintained. A small pond and beautiful labyrinth. Over 50 acres of deep wilderness woods. General Lee and his troops once camped here. But they cleaned up pretty good, so all you can really see is the old spring and wagon road. This is a working herb and small fruit farm. We have been experimenting with all kinds of exotic herbs and trees. Some make it, many don't. We sell dried herb teas. In addition we have 5 different kinds of bamboo. We use the bamboo for so many things. Camptown is our largest site. It features a large fire pit and a circular field that can accomodate 10 to 15 or more tents. You can also park smaller camper vans, teardrops, etc. in this large area. Good for parties, family reunions. The "# person" per site listing considers adults, not children... bring a whole crew of kids (try to have enough supervision - if there is such a concept!) The kids have such a great time out here... it is amazing. They love the labyrinth! By the way, that labryinth entrance is behind the kiosk. It's the largest of it's kind in North America. It seems like we made this place for the kids in ourselves and when actual kids see it they go wild. The last bunch were running and yelping with their picked flowers all round and round in the labyrinth for hours! Also, if you want peace and quiet we have beautiful remote campsites away from all the kids running around the labryinth whooping it up. (sites 4 - 6 - 8 - 9 - 10)

Accessible by car or canoe, East End at Seven Islands provides endless fun for the whole family, including your well behaved off-leash dogs. When you arrive take a cooling dip in a quiet “river pool”, relax on your private beach, or see if the fish are biting. Let your kids experience the best the river has to offer by exploring the shallows for crayfish, chasing minnows, or watching for Bald Eagles patrolling the river. Your site is approximately 2 acres, so you will have your choice of where to pitch a tent or place your camper or trailer. Only 15 minutes from the Swift Run Gap Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park our farm has a mountain feel. Our 17 acre slice of heaven is tucked back off the county road and up against the little chapman mountain. Large white oaks and Tulip Poplar trees are the main attraction along with the Mayapples in spring and the fall colors are terrific. The campsites are in the woods and around the field a good distance away from the house. There are walking trails and a pond and a hammock for relaxing, close to great hiking, summits and waterfalls, 50 minutes to Old Rag. Many local wineries to discover and many historical sites including Montpelier and Monticello and Charlottesville and UVA. Come on the 3rd Saturday to see Tom perform on his banjo at the local Farmers Market. "

Robert's site was as advertised. Super privacy, full hookups. Robert was there to meet us, blowing leaves and putting things in tip-top shape for our stay. We enjoyed the firepit (bought some wood from him) and spent the day exploring Mineral (a couple of consignment shops, 53rd Winery--awesome--and Tim's Restaurant on the lake). This place is just under an hour from our home and great for quick getaways. It's on our list to do again!

Had a nice relaxing week at Robert’s site with my son who had just returned from USAF tech school. Everything was configured perfectly with plenty of room for my 30ft camper, and the site was private and quiet. Amenities included nightly deer visits. Robert was very responsive with all communications and was a fantastic host. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Lake Anna.

5 nights at Billyville in Bells Crossroads

I would highly recommend Billyville to other Hip campers. Our Host Billy was very quick to respond in messages from the very start. Upon arrival, we were greeted friendly and felt welcomed. The site is very quiet. We really enjoyed the serenity of an evening fire under the starlit sky. Billy had got our fire ready to light. All we had to do was light it. Very nice. The entrance is down a one lane road. Well maintained. Very easy to navigate. We have a 31 foot 5th wheel (13’ high), and had no problems getting in. Billy met us and guided us into our spot. It is a big pull thru. The site is grassy. Not muddy. Easy to level. Set up with a fire ring, a picnic table, and two Adirondack chairs. There is a 30 amp plug. We have 2 dogs. And was surprised to hear Billy had just finished creating a dog run. On the property is the Bandshell. Where Billy puts on concerts with other talented musicians. So it being Labor Day weekend, we got to enjoy a concert. If you’re looking for a very quiet place to stay, this is it.

The campsites were fantastic. Water pressure was wonderful. 30 and 50 amp hook ups beautiful bathhouse. Trails to explore for Miles. Wonderful access to a nice shallow spot on the James River. Great for swimming, putting in your kayak or tube. You will also notice the remnants of a larger infrastructure that was once a private school campus. This site had everything you need and more. Privacy with convenience to shops, restaurants and breweries. We were only there overnight but enjoyed sipping coffee and watching the birds, squirrels and a deer. We will return!
