Amazing experience! Wonderful view and campsite. Attentive and considerate host. Every setup and easy in and out.
The property is absolutely beautiful! The animals are adorable! And the best part about it, by far, was Elena and her husband!! We were literally the neediest guests (we had never been camping before) and they went so far above and beyond to help us out! I would definitely recommend to anybody! And if I ever decide to give camping another try, I will def go there first!
Great space to relax and get away from everything. Very accommodating host. Easy to get to. Hard to want to leave. One of the best places to boondock in Central Virginia.
I had a great 4-night stay at the farm in my travel trailer. It was very peaceful back at the site and I loved watching the horses and goats in the evening. It was about 45 minutes to Pocahontas State Forest where I was mountain biking and about the same to Richmond. Having access to the bathroom/shower in the house was an added bonus. I loved it.

Elena was so friendly and accommodating. All of the animals were friendly and made the trip so much fun. It was great to be able to use the bathroom and shower but still feel like we were tent camping. We are already talking about going back!

What a charming and peaceful property! They have the sweetest animals and a beautiful garden. It was nice to have a restroom and shower nearby. Great spacious camp site. We really appreciated the canopy that was set up for us because the sun was hot during the day, and there was plenty of firewood available to keep us warm at night. Karen made us feel so welcome and made sure we had everything we needed, including jumper cables when one of our cars wouldn’t start. AMAZING spot for stargazing!

Our family of 5 had a great time at Cloverdale! There was plenty of space for our wild kids to run around and the bathroom was so appreciated!! Elena was a very kind and hospitable host and we’d definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

Elena was very hospitable. She has a great place, welcomed me into her house for the bathroom. She even offered to share some of a meal with me that was prepared, which I did not expect, and I was grateful for it.
The greenhouse is nice. She has different things to use if you need them, like tarps, and other things. And there was indeed a good view of the stars out here. I couldn't ask for a better or kinder host. Will be coming again.
Gracious host. Beautiful farm with great animals. Elena was easy to work with and quite helpful and supportive.

Great stay at Elena's with the RV. Totally gracious hostess, and the Farm offers a rare peace and quiet with amazing views of the night sky. Kids really enjoyed hanging out with the animals, plus picking flowers. And the veggie option is not to be missed!
I recently took my two toddlers for their first tent camping trip on Elena's land and it was the perfect place. My kids loved playing with the goats and the chickens. Elena offers the use of her guest bathroom, which was critical for my recently potty-trained two year old girl. She was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed (or forgot to bring). I can't say enough nice things about the whole experience, and I hope we'll be able to go back.
Arrived after dark, but were able to navigate to our campsite with no problem. Elena has a fire pit next to the back porch, with a guest bathroom and shower right inside the door. Our first greeter was a friendly barn cat who sat near the fire with us while we made dinner and enjoyed a clear view of the stars. We played with her goats and chickens the next morning, and got a dozen beautiful multicolored eggs from her. :)
Elena herself is really sweet! She lent us a lighter when I couldn't find mine in the dark and chatted with us about living out in the country the next day.
Spent the weekend at Cloverdale Farms, such a nice peaceful place. If you need to unwind a little this is the place. Elena is an excellent hostess, and she wasn't kidding about the night sky.
Stayed here for 1 night with my boyfriend and couldn’t be happier! The campsite is really pretty and in a great location, and Elena was a fantastic host. She was incredibly nice and welcoming, and even directed us to a bathroom in her home. We paid for the vase with flowers and got way more than we paid for, a beautiful vase and huge assortment of flowers from across the property. We also got to meet Elenas pets, and they are the sweetest animals in the world, especially her dog! We will be coming back and can’t wait to camp at Cloverdale again.
