My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away.

4 nights at Vintage Camper @ Hanging Rock
The vintage camper was located in a quiet, peaceful location. It has the quaintness expected with a camper of this period. We enjoyed the privacy and the open space surrounding it. The soft chicken and rooster noise was welcome. The owner was quick to respond to any issues and quite kind as well as thoughtful. We were practically within Hanging Rock State Park so this camper stay made it easy for us to explore but still have a comfortable place to return.

Weekend Trip to Vintage Camper @ Hanging Rock
Very cute vintage camper in prime location to Hanging Rock and Pilot Mtn. It was perfect for my first solo camping trip and had all the necessities for ease rather than tent camping, plus extra sweet gifts from Bridgette including fresh eggs from her chickens. Will absolutely be back for another quiet nature getaway!

The bear camper had everything guests would need for a getaway in the woods such as air conditioner, space heater, extra blankets, camping area/seating and TV. With no cell reception and wifi, it was a true unplugged experience.
The farm also had many types of animals - donkey, peacocks, pigs, hens, cats and goats. Guests being able to pet and feed them was really fascinating and fun!
Farm fresh breakfast in their marketplace was great as well.
It was a bit of a hike to the camper and was challenging to carry luggage from the designated parking. Specific parking should be provided near this camper (on the hill).
Overall, a great experience away from home. We would love to come back and visit.

We enjoyed our stay for the evening. Our kids loved all of the animals! We felt cozy in the camper, it was nice having access to wifi at the bath house since there was no cell service! Enjoyed breakfast on the way out! Would stay again if in the area!

Bruce is an excellent host. The camper was spotless. The bed was extremely comfortable. The showers and bath house were clean and well designed. The beach was an added bonus and the communal fire pit a great place for meeting your neighbors! We’will definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We only planned to stay here one night in the Daisy camper, but when our other camping site fell through, we wound up coming a day early and setting up in the tent site. Bruce was super welcoming and took the time to show us all of our options for camping out. The tent site was flat, comfortable, and close to the bathhouse. We loved falling asleep to the sound of frogs and crickets. :) lots of cool birds here, too!
We spent the second night in the Daisy camper which was super cute and cozy. The location of Green Acres is also really nice. It’s a quick walk to downtown Floyd, and about a 35 minute drive to Fairy Stone State Park.
Overall, highly recommend staying here!
