The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips.
Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula.
There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property.
Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack.
There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available.
4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

Weekend Trip to Blanchard Farm
My favorite part of the property was the fun little things to do. Rope swings, hammocks, hunting stand to climb. It was fun to be walking around the woods and come across random little things. The yurt sites were very private and provided your own space for relaxing. I was the only one camping this weekend, but they still seem spaced out enough to feel secluded. Definitely more space than what is given between lots at a state park.
Josh and his wife were both very kind and helpful. I have a hard time packing too much around due to health issues, and Josh was kind enough to put me in the closest yurt and help me with the firewood I purchased. The yurt is spacious and gives you a home away from home feel while still being in the outdoors and leaving things like electricity away. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much for such a great trip.

We enjoyed the property and all of the amenities in the cabin. We stayed on a cold weekend and were able to cook hot food and use the heater to stay warm while we watched movies. We enjoyed feeling secluded but also able to reach Ian at anytime.

Stargazer tiny cabin at the Guinea Farm was perfect for me and my pup. Ian was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. Meeting the chickens and guineas was a lot of fun and the beach nearby was breathtaking. We explored the area, had a few campfires, and relaxed. Even the rainstorm was amazing while inside Stargazer!!! The cabin was super cool. We will be returning! Just a quick note that did not detract from the experience at all - we did encounter some hunting dogs loose at the beach hunting a deer. Its obviously hunting season and off the location, just good to note. We loved our trip here and valued meeting Ian and learning about his much loved birds, clearly living in paradise. Definitely worth a visit! The cabin itself was extremely clean and well stocked. The property was fun to explore, even has corn hole and axe throwing!

I’m a returning camper. Last time I went to Trilogy. Love this whole property. 2WD accessible. I was greeted by the host Ian who promptly brought me a huge pile of firewood. Campsite has a nice picnic table and nice fire ring with swivel cooking grate.
The treehouse features a deck with a tent for anyone who needs it. The treehouse also has a griddle and grill running off a propane tank.
Inside the treehouse has bar stools and a bar top dining area. It also has L-shaped benches on the back wall and a foldable table. There is a projector with Roku stick for streaming off of their WiFi. Also for fun there is a Nintendo 64 with 3 games including Mario Kart 64. All electrical components run off a battery powered by solar. There are USB-A ports in various area for your convenience. Additionally there are cots and camping chairs provided.
I had a great time and felt very safe on the site. I really got to relive some childhood memories sleeping in a treehouse and playing video games. I highly recommend.
If sleeping in the provided tent isn’t your thing or you have brought your own, there are countless areas surrounding the treehouse and an adjacent field with ample room 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Weekend Trip to The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
We had a wonderful stay at the Stargazer tiny cabin. It was incredibly cozy, warm and clean. The cabin had every amenity we needed, and Ian provided clear instructions for everything. He responded to all of our requests quickly and kindly, which made our stay even better.
One of the highlights was looking up at the stars at night. It was absolutely fantastic! Aaron’s Beach and Haven Beach were only 3–5 minutes away, and we had the best time there with our dog.
This was truly one of our best stays, and I strongly recommend Ian’s place. We will definitely be back!

Went camping as a group and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Ian was absolutely amazing to meet. He let us explore the property, meet all his different birds (even got to see one in the cutest little hat), and gave us eggs for breakfast! The property is beautiful, with wonderful beaches nearby, and beautiful views of the night sky. We were even lucky enough to watch shooting stars while there. Couldn’t recommend Ian or this property enough. We will definitely be returning and camping at the other sites he offers!

This is our second time at Ian's hipcamp and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The stargazer cabin was lovely and definitely a nice glamping experience. We didn't have to bring anything with us other than toys for the kids and food to feed ourselves. We brought my 60+ MIL and she loved that there was a composting toilet 😅 Being around the birds was so fun and we went to the little Haven Beach nearby and had a wonderful time- it was a perfect beach for young kids with lots of shells, fun rocks, and calm waters.

Ian was very kind and helpful! My sister and I brought our brood of younger kids (age 3-13) and they loved it as much as we did and I'm positive our older ones would have. There's quite a few chickens with fun back stories. My oldest daughter wanted to steal Zed the zombie chicken. There was very little light pollution so we were able to lay out on our sleeping backs in an open field and watch a meteor shower, my kids and I actually fell asleep out there because it is so peaceful. We stayed at the treehouse, so cool! It slept 8 comfortably. Ian showed me the heated cabin in case we wanted to visit later this season, we probably will. There was a griddle and fire pit, we used both for cooking. The small town less than a 10 minute drive has every forgotten item one could need. Ian's is a wonderful place to be! Guinea zoomies are about as cute as a dogs. He also had two very sweet dogs.

Wonderful spot! Beautiful area and the variety of Ian's birds added a whole other level to the experience. Spent less than 20hrs there but between visiting the secluded Adams Beach at sunset, making a campfire outside the treehouse, and laying out in the field under the stars made it feel like several totally unique and great experiences. We hit up the other slightly more developed (though still very secluded) beach on the way out which was a perfect finishing touch.
Ian is awesome and a great host and communicator. It'd be fun to have a few more people out next time we stay.

Let me first start by giving the due credit to the host directly. Ian was incredible. He stayed in touch throughout the duration of the trip. Making sure we knew about all available amenities and ensuring we got the absolute most out of our stay. Communication was certainly a 10 out of 10. Not to mention he was just a super cool dude, he let me know our group could come see his various birds (which was a tremendous hit with the kids, and the adults for that matter) I stayed at camp with our dogs but the rest of my group met him personally and had nothing but good things to say about him. He really did set the expectation for what the best host possible could be.
Now onto the campsite itself. The Wisteria Treehouse was incredible. It was just the coolest how it looks and is set up. From the creature comforts inside it- a charging station, n64(as a 90's kid i saw it and thought, HOW COOL IS THAT. he even has Mario cart for it), projector, seating, a cool bar style seating arrangement to look out, to the lights strewn around the tree house. It was beautiful during the day, gorgeous at night. The bell tent very comfortably fit my family of 4 and two dogs. The layout of the site was perfect. Plenty of room for our groups kids to run and safely play. The little field next to the tree house made for the creation of some amazing core memories when night fell and the moon lit everything up for our group. There's so much more and it's a 100% guarantee we'll be back.

Such a great experience and Ian was an incredibly gracious host spending lots of time explaining his farm and the freshly hatched Zombie Chickens!!! Treehouse amenities are excellent and the grill/griddle combo was perfect. I recommend a good fan or two for warmer weather since the sunshine hits the tent and treehouse most of the day. Also, citronella candles and big spray! Haven Beach is a gem that's a couple minutes away if you're in warmer weather. We're already planning our next trip and highly recommend any of the sites.

I cannot say enough about this hipcamp. Ian is a great communicative host, the best we have experienced so far! Our stay on the farm was great, we loved watched the guinea hens running around and eating bugs. We got to see alot of wildlife and really enjoyed watching the different birds flying over from the bay at night. Having 2 beaches each less than a 5 min drive was amazing and they were completely empty both days we went. We enjoyed going to the Seafood Shack in town and The Hole in the Wall at Gwynn Island for fresh seafood. The stargazer cabin was beyond anything we could have hoped for and more. It was so well thought out and had everything you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. It was big enough for 3 adults and 2 dogs to fit comfortably for 4 days. We will definitely be back again!
