Reconnect with nature in our pet friendly rustic cabin on 35 wooded acres with two walking trails (Blue trail 3/4 mile loop and Yellow trail 1 mile loop), 5 acre meadow and large spring fed pond with bass, sunfish and trout. Enjoy walks, fishing, abundant wildlife and night star-gazing with virtually no light pollution. Cabin features great room with fireplace and wood stove, dining room, kitchen, downstairs bathroom, and two bedrooms. Downstairs you will find a bathroom, bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs you’ll find one bedroom with a full bed and loft area with a twin bunk. It will sleep six comfortably, and linens are provided. Large back deck with gas grill and rocking chairs which overlook the meadow and it’s frequent furry and feathered visitors and mirrored pond. Bring marshmallows for the fire pit near the cabin. The cabin is at 2600 ft. elevation but still can be warmer in summer months. It cools down to the mid 60’s to low 70’s most summer nights so we don’t have AC there. We do have WiFi. Just five miles off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway and in the heart of the Blue Ridge Wine Region. We’re mid-way to the town of Floyd from Roanoke, and an easy 40 miles to Tech. Historically the “Eggleston Place, built by hand by one of the original families of the area. It was part of a large farm which was divided many years ago into 25-100 tracts. We absolutely loved this campground! I can’t say enough good things!!! In a quiet country setting it’s a perfect spot for relaxing. The campground itself is beautiful and the grounds are kept exceptionally clean and mowed… the spots are all pull thru gravel and relatively level which is always a huge plus!! We do camp with small children so we love the fact that the playground area is completely visible from all sites! We enjoyed the large community fire pit as well! Overall we had the best time at Garden of Eden and will definitely be returning soon!!

Weekend Trip to Jack's Run, Glade Hill, VA

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, Shirley, our host, made us feel right at home. Her warm welcome and thoughtful personal touches truly set the tone for a relaxing getaway. The cabin itself was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities were fantastic! We loved spending our afternoons by the pool, exploring the scenic walking trails, and enjoying some friendly competition on the ball courts. The fire pits were the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of activities to enjoy, I highly recommend the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm. Thank you, Shirley, for being such a wonderful host! I can't wait to return!

My husband and our two dogs loved our stay! The property is absolutely stunning! We made sure to wake up every morning for the incredible sunrise 🌅 It was very hot during our stay, but we were able to cool off in the pool and the AC was plenty for us to be comfortable while indoors. We mostly stayed by the pool because of the heat, but the barn and fire pit area were awesome! Everything was very clean and the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs loved the front porch and being able to walk/run off leash. Shirley was extremely respectful of our privacy, but also made sure to leave us a friendly note with her number if we needed anything at all. 10/10 recommend this hipcamp 😊

What a wonderful place! It’s such a cool historical property, and the view is beautiful. The hike through the woods is very fun, as is the pool and all of the provided activities like tennis, fire pit, etc. The cabin has everything you need. We were there during some of the hottest days of summer, and the AC units and fans kept it plenty cool enough in the main living spaces and the main bedroom. If you had a larger group and needed to use the second bedroom, that might be too warm during the summer (but the living room could be used as a makeshift second bedroom too, and it has an AC unit). Shirley was very helpful and responsive and clearly takes great care of the property.
