Melanie was an amazing host from the jump. She met with us as soon as we pulled in and told us about all the amenities the campgrounds had. It was a beautiful land with a nice pond in the middle. We fished, star gazed, went on a nice walk, and made a nice fire. It was the perfect getaway for my wife and 2 children. Ages 8 & 3.

After weather conditions ruined our area Ms. Dana accommodated us to a cabin! We had a great time! Such a great space for the kiddos and fur babies to run around. Even got to meet Miss Chica 🐈‍⬛ Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely perfect! We lived it, my 2 year old nephew got to pick fresh eggs. And couldn't stop talking about the foats and pigs, and had his first ride on a pattle boat. So relaxing! Melanie is an amazing host, they really took care of us. We will defetely go back to enjoy this place again. Love it! ❤️

The animals were awesome. Cld feel my stress level dropping with every pet, hold and carrot given. Cherise was above and beyond super hospitable. Glamping by the pond was just what I needed for a low stress camping trip without all the work.

This was the perfect place to get away from the well mannered frivolity at RenFest but still feel like we were enjoying the great outdoors disconnected from the digital world. The camp was clean and quiet. We never found the showers but only stayed a night. The Zen Den was just what we needed after a fun day of eating, drinking and being a tad too merry!

We have always enjoyed camping, scuba diving and travel... anything outdoors. We made a promise that If ever given the chance to share that joy with others we would and make it a great experience. We searched and searched looked at a lot of properties North of the Woodlands, to build our home. On a Saturday morning, my husband told me about a dream of 3 very tall and Magnificent Trees, soaring way up in the sky. A few days later we were walking through the forest looking at a 20 acre tract of land for sale with our realtor, I'm thinking, "oh how would we ever get this cleared, this is a lot of work" Then, up ahead was a clearing and right in the middle were 3 of the tallest, most magnificent Cedar trees. They were perfectly planted standing side by side. We both looked at each other and said," Oh this must be it". The rest is history. The Morris Manor and Retreat

Our property is meant to be calming, fun and relaxing. Camping with class is what we like to say. We are constantly upgrading our areas and property to be safe and entertaining. Our pond is charming and the focal point of the camping adventure. We have a paddle boat and an electric john boat to toodle around in. Want to go fishing? The pond is stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and perch. There is also a small island we call “Angel Island” that you can fish from or just sit on the deck with your favorite beverage and enjoy the view. There is a riding/walking trail that is approximately 0.7 miles in distance and basically encompasses the perimeter of the back area. Walking is common, bikes are welcome and small 4 wheelers are also welcome. No side by sides please. You won’t be over crowded here as we currently only have 7 total camping sites. However, we do have enough property to accommodate large parties, reunions or any other type of get-togethers. Come see us and enjoy time away from the fast paced city! You might hear the sounds of the coyotes yipping in the night or perhaps one of the great horned owls calling out from a big oak tree. You may also see some deer, rabbits, squirrels and even armadillos. We are rustic but classy. Time to get away and relax! The Rock Pit

Learn more about this land: The Rock Pit is a 5 acre swimming hole located in Trinity County that has been there over 50 years. Long ago they had dug out an area on a hill for rock on the dirt roads, and hit and underground water table. There are no fish in the Rock Pit, as the pH is 4.5, so no fish will live in it. I recall swimming there as a small boy, and wanted to share my memories with others. Depth ranges all over, but the deep end is around 15 feet. I have 5 kayaks currently, but bring yours if you have them, along with your vests. There is fishing in Lake Livingston, my place is north of it. There is access to Lake Livingston via White Rock Creek. A public boat ramp in on Highway 94, just outside Trinity. Or you can go back towards Trinity, to highway 357 and go to a ramp closer to the big lake. Tall pine tress, a few Oaks, and maple trees surround the place. Bring your mosquito repellant, as you are in the country! The place is raw right now, but I am planning improvements such as a few A frame cabins, a showering area and so on. So many things to do!
